Personally I would complain. I expect 5 years from a battery, that comes with a new vehicle. After the second battery ie 10 years I usually change to a cheaper battery with no noticeable difference in battery life. I have had from my local dealer a tendency to wish to sell me things I don't need. I don't know how widespread this is. It didn't used to happen. Now at every service there seems to be something that needs replacing. I always tell them no and have never had any obvious problems with the vehicles. I've moved to change it when there is an obvious problem. I bought a new Ford Fiesta years ago for my wife to learn to drive in....she never did. We took it for service and they said the fuel pump needed changing (16000 baht, they claimed that had to take the engine out, to replace it) as it had just come out of warranty. We ignored the dealer, never used them again and 8 years later the car is still running with the original fuel pump. The other horror story is that my wife crashed the car and we had 2nd class insurance. We took the car to the insurance approved dealer who kept it for weeks on end. When we got it back it ran very badly as though the shocks were shot. I took it to a cheapo place for replacement and found that the original Ford shock had been removed and replaced with old broken shocked, every one from a different manufacturer. The guy I dealt with recommended I went to the police but for what I paid for replacement shocks (4000baht I think ??????) it wasn't worth it....and what could I prove without having any evidence???

I want a meritocracy, not a 3rd world DEI paradise. 4) Democrats' anti law and order policies as enacted in Democratic held cities all over America. 5) Fani Willis is in the same party as Biden; her and similar Soros-appointed DAs.. 6) If Trump were to run against anyone other than Satan, I would vote for the other person, if it is Biden or Satan, I'd vote for Trump.

They are poorly run. Inventory control is abysmal, as is customer service, as is stocking the shelves when the supermarket is most full with customers. I have the same experience. My wife has asked several times and always received the same answer.You need to file a TM30 within 24 hours or one business day for returning from a trip abroad. One one of my annual extensions the documentation for filing a TM30 was not in the computer (it had been filed electronically) and they refused to extend my visa until we had gone to the office to have them find my TM30 filing and add it to the computer records. It is a pain in the a$$ from an otherwise good office.

I am a dual national so I doubt they report anything to the IRS....when FACTA was introduced in about 2010 or so, there was a lot of talk about banks refusing US clients because they didn't want have to report interest etc. My SS of course is paid into Bangkok Bank which is, of course, FACTA compliant, but a bit inconvenient with no debit card (although that may have changed?)

Honestly, I have stopped using these supposedly cheap websites, as I am always disappointed with the results and sickened by the endless add-ons, that often they don't tell you about until it is too late. I use the airline website and I use reputable airlines like Emirates, JAL, ANA, Singapore. I find this cheaper and less hassle. I also don't wish to fly on airline I hate like (in order of hatred) United, BA, Thai, any European carrier, and 'local cheap flight. I am sick to death of getting ripped off by websites for hotels, flights, car hire and the rest.

I understood the filing date for expats was always June 15th? At least that's what my US accountant has always told me. Has the date change, or was she wrong in telling me June 15th. I have always filed later in the year on October 15th, but I understand your accountant has to apply to file at this date, and you are liable for late penalties if you owe taxes.

Every country I have ever lived in, has had a problem with public sector pensions. The US has 'public servants' who spend their lives avoiding work and get extraordinarily lucrative pensions and now get higher rates of pay than are available in the private sector. Time to rein it in, and for governments to default. The US is worse than Italy was for public sector pensions and benefits....including 30 days each year in sick leave that you can take as vacation if you don't use it.
