Because the Jews are doing absolutely terrible things in Gaza. Things that are absolutely beyond the pale for ordinary, decent, humane people. Let's fave it the Jews have had an easy run, implementing apartheid, land theft, committing daily atrocities against a poor, vulnerable, oppressed people....and it has gone on for getting on for 80 years. And all criticism hushed up in the media in the US and to a lesser extent in the west (and if you want to discuss this, I'm willing to give an extremely graphic example). For Hamas killing 1000 odd people and taking a few hostages, the Jews have killed 27000 innocent civilians. Now I have no objection to Jews killing Hamas, but if to kill a terrorist you drop a 2000lb bomb on a group of innocent and oppressed civilians and kill scores of them, then I really have a problem with the morals of that. And I have a problem with any person that condones that violence, because it says to me that such people have no morals worth talking about.

I studied protein folding and binding to substrates as part of my PhD research. I still find it fascinating. I'm guessing that the people commenting on this forum who are deriding Tucker Carlson have hardly ever watched a full show to his, let alone several. I'm guessing your opinions have been formed by comments in the corporate media and by short clips of his talks. He is anti-war, it is true and so supports Russia in the conflict, which was inevitable after all the provocation from Ukrainian nazis fro 2014 on and by the west, who refused even to discuss Russia's right to a safety zone.....and before you choke, remember that the US almost went to war in the Cuban missile crisis to prevent Russia putting nukes in Cuba (only 90 miles from the US mainland). So have any of you deriding Tucker actually watched his shows? I'm expecting a deafening silence or a total cop out saying "I don't need to watch Tucker Carlson to know I hate him" type of comment.

I have no time for Israeli policy if it kills innocent kids in their thousands. It is a vile and evil policy pursued by vile and evil men, indecent men, and it needs to change immediately. But Israel has put its middle finger up at the world so they can carry on murdering. No reasonable person would deny their right to kill Hamas terrorists, but moist reasonable people deplore this vile massacre of women and children. I will never forget that Israel did this. I will have no truck with indecent people who condone this massacre. Hopefully some day karma will come to bite Israel in the ass and pay them back for this atrocity. Thank you for this Mike, you are certainly up to speed on this. It has rather wrecked my plan. I'm going to the US in March to close a couple of bank accounts in NJ (because I am unhappy with their service) and was planning to get a cashier's check to open a new joint account Miami with my son. He can then do all the wiring etc of funds. I was planning to use bank statements to back up my claim that it was the same money ie I would use the receipts for the cashier's checks and show they equalled the amount deposited in Miami. I guess I'll have to dream up plan B, which would be to close the accounts and wire the sum over, the only thing being I'm not sure I want that much cash here and don't need it for anything special. I'm worried about the health of the banks here in Thailand and the miserly insurance.

He isn't a journalist, and I don't believe he has ever been one....possibly in his very early career. He comments on political issues and says things people don't want to hear, like what a bunch of nonsense this DEI/woke business is. Unlike other political commenters he is not a ranter or four-brand, but a thoughtful individual who is a good debater and usually knows his stuff, especially history better than his interviewees. I like him, but he says things I do cringe at, as well as things that need to be said.

Tucker just did a great interview with Russell Brand, to put the record straight as far as Russell's supposed sexual harassments and rapes. I can't see any leader agreeing to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson, he's way too smart for them and they would look like idiots. What's great about him is he asks a question and then lets the interviewee answer while he listens. He interrupts much less than so many interviewers do. And he researches carefully. Having said that no leader would want to be interviewed by him, Putin seems unafraid of long sessions with questions and may be the one to go for it. I can't see that Tucker was there for a holiday. But maybe he was going to do a serious interview with Medvedev. Which would make a great podcast.

Presumably it depends where you buy the travel policy? I don't rent motorbikes when I travel abroad....indeed I don't rent anything as I don't like driving now. But lots and lots of people rent motorbikes (small bikes), they shouldn't be renting them if they haven't got proper insurance, and in my opinion they should have a full motorcycle license from abroad. I don't see why tourists should be able to get away with not being legal on Thai roads, and driving in Pattaya I see that the plurality of motorbike drivers are accidents waiting to happen.

When I was a kid they had scooters that were 250cc....most Thai 'motorbikes' like Honda Wave of Click are/were 125cc. Honda made the Click 160cc recently for no apparent reason. The bike is now too heavy for my wife to ride and it's too fast for my liking. I'm old so have no wish to tear about the place.
