  1. If they do that, so increasing to 1,6 Million then the question is, is it allowed to have for example 800K in Bank A and the other 800K in a separate Bank. reason being, money in a bank is only guaranteed up to 1 Million per Bank.
  2. AFAIK the balance can’t drop below (at the moment) below 400K the whole year. correct @DrJack54 and @BritTim ?
  3. One of the issues IMHO with leaving 1,6 million in a Thai Bank is that the balance is only covered up to 1 million and thus in case the bank goes bankrupt you lose 600.000 THB
  4. Have you checked if online payments have been enabled in the banking app?
  5. He posted this in the Chiang Mai forum so, I think that is his location ????
  6. In an article in the newspaper we can’t mention on here it says But not sure how accurate that is anymore, but I crossed there once on the way to Siem Reap at around 6:30am another thing BORDER crossings don’t close for public holidays
  7. A friend of ours wants to rent an appartement (long term) in the Diana Estate on Soi Buakao. Any one living there and can share their experiences regarding (for example) noise etc etc TiA
  8. That is MESH WIFI
  9. It could be that separate device is the Box for TV (GigaTV) which you connect to your router and with a HDMI cable to your TV. The 3BB router can handle WIFI. Do you have a link to that promotion.
  10. I just treated my PC to a WD Black NVMe https://www.advice.co.th/product/ssd-solid-state-drive-/ssd-m-2-pcie-nvme-512-gb/500-gb-ssd-m-2-pcie-4-0-wd-black-sn770-wds500g3x0e-nvme It replaced a Samsung SSD 970 NVMe https://www.advice.co.th/product/ssd-solid-state-drive-/ssd-m-2-pcie-nvme-256-gb/250-gb-ssd-m-2-pcie-samsung-970-evo-plus-mz-v7s250bw-nvme
  11. Nah not for 90 day reports. Max fine is 4000 THB if arrested or 2000 THB if you go to Immigration yourself What you are thinking of is overstay past your Extension Expiry Date!
  12. Don't forget that Marriage extension is NOT approved by your local IO but is send to the Regional HQ, and that is maybe the reason why they want two of them one for the HQ and one for them
  13. Good Point. For 10-20 THB each it's IMHO not an issue to get 2. You will spend more money going back and forth from Immigration to Amphur ????
  14. Explanation @Coota The KR2 (the document you need to get) is just Proof that you are STILL married, so if you for example got divorced you won't be able to get that document (AFAIK) So that is why Immigration wants to see a more recent Print Out from the Amphur. The KR. 2 that is attached to that shiny Piece of paper with the flowers (which is called KR3) is just a printout from the day you got married.
  15. +1 In our case (Buriram IO) the KR2 can be a maximum of 1-2 days old. So what I did (before when I was on a Extension based of Marriage) On day #1 goto Amphur to get a new Kr. 2 On Day #2 goto Bank in the Morning and get the Bank Letter On Day #2 after dealings with the Bank were finished went to immigration and did the extension
  16. I found an example of the KR2. Let your wife show this to your local Amphur
  17. Your wife can get the KR2 (that is what the paper you need) from any amphur. So no need to drive back to Banglamung. She just needs her ID card and need to mention that she needs Ko RoR 2 form. Price is 10-20 THB
  18. I guess they are thinking that @Crossy might do it ????
  19. Yep that works in 7/11, but AFAIK normal QR code scan with Thai Banking Apps doesn’t as they don’t accept that. Why? No idea.
  20. Call samsung and as its brandy new they will advise you. they came to our house after our TV stopped working and replaced the board for free. link: https://www.samsung.com/th/foreigner/
  21. My account with SCB is still in Pattaya and I have moved to Buriram 7 years ago. I just went into a Local MAIN branch in Buriram and got issued the NEW ATM card right on the spot. Only needed my Passport / SCB Bank book.
  22. AFAIK If the Chanote is used as collateral against another property then the lender will keep the chanote until full payment is received
