  1. My “under consideration” stamp result was once 2 weeks late, but that was due to immigration being very busy and no issues then.
  2. No, you are not on overstay, but I would urge you to go Monday first thing to immigration edit: your extension is already approved for the year, so don’t worry, you just don’t have the stamp to prove it yet in your passport, you will get that in Immigration. But prepared to get asked some questions why you left it this long

    Crutch hire

They are Not expensive to buy. Approx 2-300 THB https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/crutches/
  4. Sorry to hear that. please do take care of yourself
  5. Nope 15 days before and 7 days after.
  6. Can’t your wife/gf do it. My wife normally does it for me but this time I was undergoing medical procedures in BKK and we could not go home (was there 2 months ????) edit: at one point in time I was even thinking of sending my passport to the BIL so he could do it for me but decided against that. edit 2: maybe the doc can write you a note that you are unable to travel? (yes i did the online report on time, but it was still saying pending on and after the due date)
  7. 50k THB IN nope. Yes if going out https://wise.com/gb/blog/taking-cash-in-or-out-of-thailand#:~:text=Although you can take up,the country with Thai currency. out in
  8. In my wife’s name yes, but that should the buyer of course do, change ownership of the car in the blue book and that also can be done at any transportation office with the documents @DrJoy mentioned edit why the confused emoji?
  9. You can do that at any transportation office, no need to change plates. For example our Motobike has Chonburi plates but it gets taxed and tested at the Buriram transportation office without any issues. (We moved from Chonburi -> Buriram over 7 years ago).
  10. No idea about that, I am on extension of stay based on retirement, but many years before that extension based on marriage. (Using money in the bank (money is in a Fixed deposit account)) Stopped working long time ago, but not drawing a pension (at the moment that will be another x years but they are increasing the date that you can get a pension year after year. When I first came here it was 65 and now it’s already 67-68.)
  11. But if you don’t work? i just checked casually and in my home country (not English speaking country) it means applying at the county municipality office in person. So it would mean flying back there. Then need to have it translated, stamped at your local MFA etc etc. oke was planning on going back anyway next year, (passport expiring) so could combine it.
  12. you don’t mention if the owner of car and the buyer are Thai or foreigner. but in case of both Thai (don’t know about the documents required if foreigner) the buyer needs - copy tabien baan (house book) seller - copy id card seller - blue book registration of the car then the buyer can go to the transport office of his/her liking and have the car registered there, they then will get new plates in exchange for the old (other province) ones. Edit: costs can’t recall but was not that much, maybe 2-3k THB.
  13. Because it doesn’t work for everyone. I reported last time online more then 1 week before the 90 report was due, and it was still pending on and after the due date.
  14. Nope for that (change of address) immigration uses the TM30 which AFAIK must be filed within 24 hours of moving to a new address. They (immigration) is AFAIK stricter with the TM30 enforcement then the 90 day report.
  15. The next due date shifts if you do the report early or later for example if your report is due today and you go today, next report is November 1st. But if you went yesterday (due date again today) your next report date would be October 31st. so if you go tomorrow (hypothetically as tmrw is a Saturday) the next report due date will be November 2nd.
  16. I agree, but that coukd mean a lot of running around and sometimes even have to fly back to your home country to get it. WoW
  17. I have been living in Thailand almost continuously for well over 15 years, the last time I went to my home country is now just over 10 years ago (haven’t been registered there since over 15 years (2008 to be precise)) and the last time I arrived back in Thailand (after a 2 week holiday in SE-Asia) has been 5 years ago. In Which country should I apply for the criminal record check. My home country?
  18. Max fine for 90 day late reporting is: 2000 THB if you go yourself to immigration 4000 THB if you get stopped by immigration and they notice it.
  19. I was recently 11 days late reporting, I tried to do the online reporting (more then a week early) but it was still pending even after the due date. I finally could go to immigration and they waived the fine, but said next time I will have to pay if reporting late again. However YMMV
  20. Thx @Jingthing did not know that, of course it would mean 2 separate bank letters, 2 bank statements etc etc.
  21. yeah but preventing losing 600k in a bank account is worth thinking about, so splitting the money (if that is possible within the immigration regulations) is IMHO worth mentioning.
  22. If they do that, so increasing to 1,6 Million then the question is, is it allowed to have for example 800K in Bank A and the other 800K in a separate Bank. reason being, money in a bank is only guaranteed up to 1 Million per Bank.
  23. AFAIK the balance can’t drop below (at the moment) below 400K the whole year. correct @DrJack54 and @BritTim ?
