  1. But there was a period where only people who used more the 500 units had to pay the full Ft surcharge, if you used less then 300 units you got the biggest discount, 301 - 350 units still a discount but a lot less etc etc so it was a sliding scale. even in the period March - April people got a discount on the Ft if used less then 300 units but I believe the discount stopped for people using more then that.
  2. Understood, yes terrible practice, but why do you quote my post in where I ONLY try to explain how the (official) electricity price is calculated.
  3. Do you own the appartement? If so, maybe consider changing the aircon to a modern inverter type, we did just that in our condo and the electricity bill went down 50%.
  4. You can’t compare 10 years ago with today, but that said electricity prices have stayed very much the same but the increase is due to something call FT charge (which is basically a Fuel surcharge) early part of last year and before that it was negative. Now a days it’s 0,9343 Thb (thus almost 1 THB) added to each unit used.
  5. Are you sure? No mention of it on their website https://www.aainsure.net
  6. Yeah I saw the edit. Get it changed but maybe that will be a new meter install but not a biggie. Name change is more difficult then just a meter change (that is what the PEA told us when we bought the property next door)
  7. Is it actually a shop/ business? Or just a shop house unit? If so then maybe get it changed to 1125?
  8. There is the added Ft charge that was negative for a part of last year and that now stands at 0,9343 Thb (thus almost 1 Thb extra) for every unit used.
  9. It’s hot outside so your fridges and aircon have too work much much harder to get to set temperature.
  10. Yes but is for residential as you said, all bets are off for meters classified as used on business premises. I also sincerely doubt that with 2125 you will get a discount if you stay under 300 units in the month as you got (no idea about coming months) with 1115 or 1125 (classified as household) meter
  11. Those attract higher rates then 1125 (which is normal house holds on 15/45 - 30/100 meter)
  12. You are forgetting something, 16,2 Million is for the Panels ONLY.
  13. Not. I have let both my SCB and BBL atm cards expire and no yearly fees have been deducted from my accounts since then and NO I did not tell them.
  14. That would be a good solution???????? When we went on a Camper Trip in Europe some pitches had the same, first 4-5 kWh were free going over that you paid extra.
  15. Nothing. It's up to the OP if he wants to carry around with him a Phone or not. He has a computer and can do his Tm47 online. Ps: I have both a PC and Phone but I don't do my Tm47 online but I just go to the Immigration office to do them. Instant result instead of waiting several days for a message yes or no (and please do note: my IO is 50+ KM away from us)
  16. A simple solution (what I do) is walk every morning to your PEA Meter (good exercise as well ) and record the meter reading. Rinse and repeat every day. That is how you will find out if your going (inadvertently) into negative Territory. And also note the days that the Meter reader is coming and SHUT off Export the day before, and after he has been turn it on again
  17. He can do that with his computer. If I had a choice I would gladly ditch my phone and only use my PC (but it's a bit heavy to carry around when going shopping)
  18. ???? In my email you have the option save (or save all for multiple attachments) and save as, in save it saves it in the last folder used and in save as you could save it any folder of your liking and also name it as you like (that folder location will be used then next time when you just click “save”)
  19. That is why I said in my previous post, on saving Note the name and then do a search for it
  20. +1 I used to live in Pattaya and moved out 7 years ago to Isarn. Was back in Pattaya last month (hospital care is there unfortunately much better there then locally (only reason why I would move back)) and was glad that I was back home (in rural Isarn)
  21. And then can’t find it again
  22. Insurance would be the major costs, I am paying 120.000 THB per year for my health insurance (not from Thailand as they are here really limited in coverage and mainly payout) and I am relatively young (mid 50’s) edit sorry my bad I am paying 144.000 THB per year (4000 EUROS). Need to use a calculator more often
  23. Goto your inbox and try again? when saving, please note the name and then again when you can’t find it search for it
  24. They could easily get them, for example HomePro sells electricity meters. So it would be a relatively easy job for the resorts sparky to disconnect the rooms electric cable, put the electricity meter in between and connect it all up again. End result each room would have its own Meter. Only the resort would have to note the figures per room on check-in and check-out and then calculate the electricity used.
  25. One more thing that should not be overlooked when looking at your High electricity bill is your fridge. A guy in our old village was complaining about his high bill even in the cold months. In the end we found out 2 things 1- his fridge doors did not seal properly 2- even when his fridge doors were closed (after getting a new seal) the compressor in the fridge would run continuously He bought a new fridge (the old one apparently was 8++ years old) and his electricity bills dropped dramatically.
