PEA and Solar how low can you go?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
And that is what is confusing me they are increasing the Ft to 0,98 (from 0,93) and same time they are easing the price.???? And no mention of discount for under 300 units We have to wait indeed what will happen because it as usual clear as mud (I am expecting the worst and thus it only can get better ???? ) Our solar (2 GTI’s) is not really coping we are now back in the 160 Unit a month territory, but due to health issues can’t get the real system 5kW Inverter and 10 Panels up and running unfortunately -

I am totally confused what I am reading, the Ft charge will be increased to 0,98 Thb per unit from 0,93 Thb per unit but they are saying they are easing the electricity charges ???? -
How to Size Battery Storage for Home Solar
MJCM replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
No need to apologize it's very informative, learned a lot. I just thought that if you just adhere to DOD then it would be enough but apparently NOT. I just cranked the volume on my PC up to 100% and could listen to it ???? -
I can't recall, but I believe it was either from Daikin direct or one of the DIY Stores. Maybe ask your Installer / aircon maintenance guy they might have some spares.

Getting a IBAN bank account
MJCM replied to bubblegum's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Maybe this helps (not a Thai Bank as Thai banks don’t use IBAN https://n26.com/en-eu/blog/how-to-open-a-bank-account-in-europe edit: you could also look at Wise, they will give you a Bank account with IBAN https://wise.com/help/articles/2817401/tips-for-getting-started-with-wise?origin=topic-OQDKGx7MTsaujfEjiZmIS -
Probably is an understatement. The 18th and especially the 19th is mayhem. I hope no one has to travel to the airport on those days good luck finding a Taxi.

Question. When you estimated your system did you already calculate for (or thought of) getting an EV or was that later on? -
No need, othing wrong with my hearing rest of me has lots of problems but hearing is absolutely totally fine.
-
Care to explain why? The compressor in our current house is already 3 years old and still quiet. In our OLD house we replaced the Rubber stands the compressor sits on as they were affected by the sun and that one (which is 6-7 years old) we also don't hear.

PEA found out meter is spinning backward
MJCM replied to eddysacc's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Have you read this post? and especially the last couple of sentences? Was your system a DiY install? If so then not possible, if done by a approved installer then IMHO not so much but If installed by a Non approved one, my guess you will be cheaper to get a new install (maybe the approved installer can reuse some of your materials. (if they will that is another question) -
I really don’t hear our compressor running at the moment (or at night) and it’s only approx 1-1,5 meters from us while laying on the bed. And yes I checked the compressor is working with the aircon (18K BTU) set to 26c. I think it depends also on the brand if the compressor is loud, we only use Diakin FTKM inverters and they are quiet IMHO.
-
we placed them all around and have even attached them to the front of the compressor and thus far so far so good. ????????
-
You definitely can’t walk underneath ours ???? We are glad that we didn’t put them high up because we had a while ago an ingress of Jingjok into the compressors electronic board and it caused us to be without an aircon for over a week. Nowadays we regularly check the compressor and put in new deterrents and sometimes spray with Chaindrite which would be more difficult if the compressor was high up..
-
Ours are not high up, just around approx 100++ cm up, but that said we have a single story house (both the old and the current house are)
-
In our current house the compressor is right outside the window and we don’t hear it when it’s running even at full blast. It helps that the compressor is mounted on those rubber blocks. We sometimes are wondering if the compressor even is running and we have to open the Window just to hear it’s “humming” away ????
-
+1 They have been installed in our old house now 7 - 8 years already and totally no issues. Had my wife look at the points where the compressors are mounted this morning and both look ????????
-
Yep we did. in our old house on 10cm AAC blocks a 18k BTU and in the other room a 12k one, and in our current house with 7,5 cm AAC blocks a 18k BTU one. Also the compressors are mounted on the AAC blocks in both houses and NO Issues edit: all the aircons are Daikins

PEA Bill reading clarification if anybody knows?
MJCM replied to topt's topic in The Electrical Forum
That is progress for you. In our old village one guy collects a lot of the PEA bills with the money and an extra 20 THB and then drives to work and during his "lunch" hour he goes to the PEA office and pays the bills. Nice little earner for him. -
