Care to explain why? The compressor in our current house is already 3 years old and still quiet. In our OLD house we replaced the Rubber stands the compressor sits on as they were affected by the sun and that one (which is 6-7 years old) we also don't hear.

PEA found out meter is spinning backward

Have you read this post? and especially the last couple of sentences? Was your system a DiY install? If so then not possible, if done by a approved installer then IMHO not so much but If installed by a Non approved one, my guess you will be cheaper to get a new install (maybe the approved installer can reuse some of your materials. (if they will that is another question) -
I really don’t hear our compressor running at the moment (or at night) and it’s only approx 1-1,5 meters from us while laying on the bed. And yes I checked the compressor is working with the aircon (18K BTU) set to 26c. I think it depends also on the brand if the compressor is loud, we only use Diakin FTKM inverters and they are quiet IMHO.
-
we placed them all around and have even attached them to the front of the compressor and thus far so far so good. ????????
-
You definitely can’t walk underneath ours ???? We are glad that we didn’t put them high up because we had a while ago an ingress of Jingjok into the compressors electronic board and it caused us to be without an aircon for over a week. Nowadays we regularly check the compressor and put in new deterrents and sometimes spray with Chaindrite which would be more difficult if the compressor was high up..
-
Ours are not high up, just around approx 100++ cm up, but that said we have a single story house (both the old and the current house are)
-
In our current house the compressor is right outside the window and we don’t hear it when it’s running even at full blast. It helps that the compressor is mounted on those rubber blocks. We sometimes are wondering if the compressor even is running and we have to open the Window just to hear it’s “humming” away ????
-
+1 They have been installed in our old house now 7 - 8 years already and totally no issues. Had my wife look at the points where the compressors are mounted this morning and both look ????????
-
Yep we did. in our old house on 10cm AAC blocks a 18k BTU and in the other room a 12k one, and in our current house with 7,5 cm AAC blocks a 18k BTU one. Also the compressors are mounted on the AAC blocks in both houses and NO Issues edit: all the aircons are Daikins

PEA Bill reading clarification if anybody knows?
MJCM replied to topt's topic in The Electrical Forum
That is progress for you. In our old village one guy collects a lot of the PEA bills with the money and an extra 20 THB and then drives to work and during his "lunch" hour he goes to the PEA office and pays the bills. Nice little earner for him. -

Yep that is one so that explains it, the system reads at 00:00 remotely and the meter reader prints and drops off the actual bill when he comes around. In the future (it is my guess) that everyone (who has a smart / electronic meter) is "forced" to install the PEA App and then the BILL will automatically show up in the APP and thus the Meter reader guy is out of a job -
Another one for LifeCare Lab. Very professional and quick with the results in a very detailed report which you receive (optional at no extra costs) via Email. Done lots of testing there recently and saved approx 3k vs testing at the Hospital.

Can't you install an aircon? Or if you can't install an aircon, why not get a portable aircon? -
PEA and Solar how low can you go?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Next month it is then? I have no idea any more and now just take it as it comes I calculated our bill (for this period) to be a 731 THB one. With 152 units used that would be an average of around 4,81 THB per unit so the 599 THB bill came as a total surprise. -

PEA and Solar how low can you go?
MJCM replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
We just received our PEA Bill for the Period March - April Total Units used: 152 (which is 91 units more then the previous period ) Price we have to pay: 599.67 THB Which makes the price per unit : 3.95 THB I was expecting a 750 THB+ bill, but to my utter surprise we still got a discount on the FT Charge of 101.90 THB. Total FT charge (before discount) was 142.01 THB but after the discount (of 101.90 THB) only 40.11 THB Ft remained (so 40.11 THB / 152 Units = FT charge of 0,263 THB per unit.) Ft charge on the Bill was listed as 0.9343 THB per unit and service charge was discounted to 24.62 THB. -
In Pattaya they are openly sold as usual post from yesterday

Does anyone have that picture saved of the two guys using a water gun and aiming at a girl driving past on motorcycle and the guys laughing like mad. It was in the (IMHO) legendarily Somg Kran FAQ thread which unfortunately has been removed a long time ago for some reason.
-
Yep and sometimes they (the drivers) also stop on purpose for that reason ????
-
I am more worried about injuries. i still have a scar because some ….. threw water with big ice cubes and it hit me above the eye. Or those high powered pvc pipes can knock people of their motorbikes
-
banning this on Soi Buakhao, not going to happen. Just look what happens with the ban of those high powered PVC pipe devices. A couple get confiscated and then it’s business as usual. those things are bloody dangerous ???? edit old report about those https://www.pattayamail.com/news/police-attempt-to-curtail-pvc-water-cannon-use-25264

There is always something issued by the government during Songkran to be conservative with water, but nobody listens. mains water supply will often run out during this period and thus people (bars etc) will have water delivered Those water trucks make good money during this period.
