An educator smacking a kid isn't civilised, nor should be even have to discuss it in a civilised society. Yet here we are - life is full of consequences, again I haven't been in the position to do so and my question was simply about the law.
-
Read the full post - I haven't done anything, nor have I had the need to so far. My question, stated clearly 2 times, was regarding the law & in the home corporal punishment.
-

Yes my kid - it seems you are correct, unfortunately. I did research the use of corporal punishment in schools and its shocking. Any teacher/coach that puts hands on my child will struggle to use that hand for the rest of their lives. Hitting kids doesnt work

Kata/Karon is a ghost town - any hotel that think they will be charging those prices will fail. Email the hotel direct and see what they come back with

As highlighted by others you (and many more would certainly agree) seem to have issue with the governance/leaders, this is not an radical stance I must say. That said, any step forward is still a step forwards. The reason such inflated figures where floated out, is simply marketing...... and we (Nero et al) can accept that. What is not marketing are the 100's of people I am getting through the doors spending money and keeping peoples jobs. So from that point alone, I call this a win. Perhaps a small one, but a win non the less -

What truth ? I am on the ground in Phuket, working in the tourism industry. I can physically see more people daily and I have more guest in the hotel I manage then any time in the last 18 months. Is it perfect? No, but it is certainly a great first step. Now back to your doom saying, Im sure there must be an end of world event coming soon from which you can generate some pleasure. -
