  1. Many expats you meet in Thailand you would not associate with back in your home country. Choose carefully who you wish to chat with.
  2. car parts from authorised car dealers in Thailand are cheap compared to the UK plus labour cost is very low.
  3. I suggest you do some research, Thailand milk production supplies around half of it's needs, it therefore imports the balance to meet local demand and to secure their export market as Thailand is a major exporter of milk products within asia.
  4. Most milk is imported into Thailand
  5. Spelling police on here, thanks for the correction.
  6. would of thrown the rubbish out, property was going to be made a rental, I was not going to move in.
  7. You are right, last year a women had purchased a reprocessed house and went to move in and the ex-owner shot her dead. Had forgotten all about that.
  8. Went today to the Bank and asked about a house that they have reprocessed, Bank happy to sell it to us but they have a problem with the previous owner who has not removed his belongings out of the house and is arguing with the bank. This guy has defaulted on his loan and has no money to pay the bank and has moved out but left his belongings in the house, Bank told us we can buy but if we have a problem with the previous owner they will not help us. Sounds like the previous owner can dispute the ownership because he has personal belongings in the house which the bank has asked him to remove. Has anyone come across this before?
  9. I have windows 11 on the laptop, works fine, and I have windows 10 on the desktop, as the operating system is older and cannot upgrade to windows 11 without my upgrading the motherboard. As the desk top has very high spec when purchased it still works very well. The only annoying thing with windows 11 is it wants to know everything about you and wants to make you use window products, this part of windows I do not like. I prefer to choose what I use with out being pushed to a microsoft product. Regards Co pilot, microsoft says it was a mistake and I think they will do away with it in updates.
  10. As I said before, if you are not legally married then you are not recognised by Thai law! You have NO legal rights under Thai law if not married. If you are married under UK law, you will need to get legal advice from a lawyer in thailand on if the thai legal system recognises UK law. As for what we all think about our partners/wife or ex partner/wife, when it comes down to what they want or you want then all "good behavour and sometimes morals go out the window.
  11. IMO I would focus on the childs wellbeing which IMO would be better served in the UK. Unless married you have no legal standing with the child, the courts in Thailand will not recognise you. Fighting over a house to be placed in your childs name is peanuts compared to the welfare of your daughter during this sepration process which will all be nice and calm until the mother and daughter are back in Thailand.. I live in Thailand and have a daughter (4 year old) and I assure you the education system is not great here and a university degree is not worth much outside of Thailand. I am already planning on sending my daughter to a university back in the UK when the time comes. Iam not in your position (partner and I are togeather) but know about the legal pitfalls here in Thailand and if and when you ever get togeather with another women, then look out as the ex will not be happy.
  12. You need to talk with a Thai lawyer, in Thailand if you are not married to the mother then you have no legal rights at all. I strongly suggest that you sort everything legally before your child goes to Thailand, I would not let the mother take the child on a "holiday" to Thailand as once there you have no hope of sortinging anything. If you are serious about the childs future you may wish to think about keeping the child in the UK as the school system is better and a better future. Focus on what is best for the child, do not argue, go for custody in the UK. To be honest I would not trust the mother at all if you already have been abusede, plus she knows that she has to keep everything calm until she gets to Thailand then she is in the stronger position of doing nothing and not letting you see your daughter.
  13. Pay attention, read your own post, this is what you said: "Make a serious effort to learn the language. Unless you live in the cities you will wallow without it."
  14. wrong, Have lived here for many years, can get around easily and I live in a small city in the south.
  15. "Mass deportation will be a labor-market disruption celebrated by American workers, who will now be offered higher wages with better benefits to fill these jobs" So once he has deported the workers, americans will rush to fill the jobs picking in the agricultural and service sectors? They are dreaming, migrants are doing these jobs as amreicans do not want to. Plus will this mean stop, search, i.d anyone of colour on the streets of the USA?
  16. Deport him and anyone else who commits acts of violence.
  17. Only when the media or social influencer gets involved is anything done. Otherwise forget it.
  18. Surat Thani has an immigration office, หมู่ที่ 2 41/12 Thung Rang, Kanchanadit District, Surat Thani 84290, Thailand just google it for directions. Do not know about visa agent. Need to look at the new Tax the Government is bringing in to see how it will affect his income. If he has a gf here then tell him to not give loans to her or the family, if he wants to buy a house, better to buy a condo in his own name. A gf in thailand is a very easy way to go broke. Better to rent for a while and see if Surat Thani works for him.
  19. Simple answer just say no. Never get into lending or giving money regardless as who it is.
  20. If you were married to her when the child was born that would help, not suggesting you marry her now. shift99 has goos advice, and keep calm and civil. Wish you all the best.
