  1. I guess it'll be like his 2004 Donald Trump by Trump. Probably just the same cheap cucumber fragrance re-gurgitated. We'll see.
  2. So the multi-billion dollar business with tens of thousands of frags for men or pour homme are just an illusion? Absurd. Even your dad had after shave or cologne.
  3. It's fine. You just need to use your loaf. 🙂
  4. I'm sure sentencing guidelines are followed. There are probably lots of mitigating factors. You need to take this up with the judiciary not me.
  5. You only have to Google it. But there's a nice summary here. https://www.thecut.com/2025/06/heres-what-j-k-rowling-has-really-said-about-trans-people.html
  6. I have no comment on the sentence. That's why we have courts and judges and laws. In any case seems like Tommy benefited from a 2Tier system. Looks like a massive bill for the taxpayer. "The Ministry also said Robinson's isolation was "substantially more permissive" than ordinary segregation arrangements: Robinson had access to a laptop and email, use of a gym facilities for three hours a day, and the ability to make social phone call for four hours each day. It also revealed that, since November 2024, Robinson had made more than 1,250 social telephone calls, had sent 100s of emails, and had had more than 90 visits approved, more than any other inmate." Source: Guardian So he wasn't in a gulag. And thanks for your concern over my health James. I can assure you all is well. 🙂
  7. Connelly's. As I stated in my original post.
  8. It's not a false equivalence fallacy. I didn't claim they're equivalent. I think one does and one doesn't. I'd have thought that was obvious.
  9. Three of them I imagine. 🙂
  10. You're comparing cases that are chalk and cheese. Tyler Kay got 28 months and Jordan Parlour got 20 months for a similar crime to Connolly's. Those should be your equivalents. As I say, the sentence is harsh but it's not unusual.
  11. I read that as Bob Dylan at first. 🙂
  12. It wasn't 13 years just for stealing a phone though was it? The man had psychological problems which made his situation complicated and tragic. In the second example they've been found guilty but are awaiting details of the length of sentence. In any case neither of these examples have any bearing on the sentencing of Connolly and Robinson.
  13. Your view that he was a political prisoner has no basis in fact. He was segregated to protect him. "Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was placed in segregation in prison primarily for his own safety and to prevent potential harm to other inmates. He was initially held in Belmarsh prison and later moved to Woodhill after expressing a conflict with followers of Islam, which led to threats against him. The prison administration deemed segregation necessary due to concerns about his safety and the potential for violence from other prisoners, particularly those with opposing views. " Source: Google
  14. He can only do it on a request from the Prime Minister.
  15. Lucy Connolly's sentence was harsh but in line with sentencing gudelines and sentences handed out to others for similar crimes. Further racist tweets she tweeted both before and after that one were also taken into account as was her guilty plea. She won't serve 31 months; she'll probably be released on parole as she's not deemed a threat to the public. Tommy Robinson wasn't imprisoned for speaking up against immigrants, there is no such offense. He was convicted of contempt of court, a serious crime to which he also plead guilty.
  16. Sharia councils, sometimes referred to as Sharia courts, operate in the UK as informal religious bodies that provide rulings on matters related to Islamic family law, particularly marriage and divorce. While they are not actual courts of law with legal jurisdiction, these councils can influence some Muslims, who may seek their guidance on religious aspects of these issues. Informal Bodies: Sharia councils are not part of the UK's legal system and have no legal authority.
  17. You talk as if trans people have just been included in the gay community. They've actually been part of Pride since the start and were instrumental in initiating the quest for equal rights for gay people. They were actually protesting U.S. police brutality in the fifties but it wasn't until the 1990's that the acronym T became common usage.
  18. Absolutely ludicrous. And don't put words in my mouth. I thought you had gay friends. Do they think that?
  19. I agree. Although not stocking a book isn't really banning. It's not like you can't get hold of a copy elsewhere. I imagine a lot of bookshops decline to stock certain books for various reasons. Storm in a teacup really.
  20. I agree. Just put her books in the transphobic section. 🙂
