  1. Yes, we could arrive in dinghies. 🙂
  2. It's easily Googled if you are in fact interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer
  3. Yes, not homophobia as such but queer-baiting. Nothing new and seemingly allowed on here now.
  4. I was thinking the other day that these creatures would soon be back with their anti-LGBT rhetoric now the election's over. Always the same names isn't it? Two a penny.
  5. You misunderstand me. I never said they said they would reinstate increases. I said that the now Chancellor Angela Rayner supported uprating pensions before but has not mentioned it since being in government. It's the issue that's been dropped not any proposed legislation.
  6. Imagine all 500T + retirees who don't get uprated pensions going back to the U.K., getting the upratings, fuel allowance, housing and care benefits and access to free healthcare. I wonder what the cost would be. A damn sight more than uprating the pensions. Maybe we should all go back at once. 🙂
  7. Oh do grow up. This isn't about immigrants. This has been an issue for the last 75 years.
  8. Yes, it's been discussed then seen as not an issue any more for Labour and the Tories. The Lib Dems are still in favour of uprating and say so on their website, so they haven't swept it under the carpet. Once they get into power the issue is quietly dropped.
  9. And despite the fact that some of us are paying Income Tax in the U.K. contributing substantially to the economy. And all the savings on benefits, NHS etc.
  10. The current Chancellor described the freeze as unfair in the commons a few years ago, but yet again it's been swept under the carpet.
  11. I don't. Some of us like keep our financial affairs in order. But I admire your confidence that there will be no overreach Lou.
  12. Like any decent human being I applaud the detection of fraud. However that doesn't detract from the fact that freezing pensions based solely on geography is monstrous. I'm also not happy with them acquiring information from banks without my knowledge. This may lead to banks who allow expats to run an account in the U.K. to stop as it's not worth the extra admin. and they will close accounts arbitrarily.
  13. I thought pride was a sin. 🙂
  14. No, just traitors. It's the great paradox of U.S. history.
  15. I KNOW NO ONE'S GOING TO SHOW ME EVERYTHING WE ALL COME AND GO UNKNOWN EACH SO DEEP AND SUPERFICIAL BETWEEN THE FORCEPS AND THE STONE - Joni Mitchell
  16. "Over 2,000 military personnel, most of whom are in the army, rely on the CEA provided by the MoD, which covers up to 90% of school tuition fees. However, even with the MoD’s help, families are responsible for a minimum of 10% of the cost—an amount that can still reach tens of thousands of pounds per year." Is anyone really going to turn down a 90% subsidy on their child receiving elite private education for the sake of a thousand pounds or so? Unlike state schools private schools are classed as for-profit businesses. I'm rather surprised they're not already paying VAT. Why are they exempt when other businesses have to pay?
  17. He can't attack Starmer personally, he can only punish the U.K., so you're wishing ill on the people of your own country. Why would you do that?
  18. I have of those umbrellas that opens violently at the push of a button. It works a treat. Even if it doesn't frighten them off you can protect yourself.
  19. Pointless giving citizenship to retirees who are going to self-liquidate in a few years if you're looking to enhance the population. They're unlikely to procreate or even survive for too long. 😀
  20. Trump's Narcissistic personality disorder certainly is.
  21. It's certainly a disorder. 😀
  22. It's almost exclusively straight guys that are attracted to LB. Gay guys are attracted to the male form. 😀
  23. I agree with impulse, Miracid is good, although I try to use Omeprazole sparingly these days.
  24. Ah, the old I got nothing so send your adversary off to do more research stunt. LOL. ".... research and subsequent studies consistently failed to produce any empirical or scientific basis for regarding homosexuality as anything other than a natural and normal sexual orientation that is a healthy and positive expression of human sexuality. " You know better though. 😀 Source: In re Marriage Cases 2008
