  1. Do they take account of family history, say, of heart disease or genetic problems?
  2. Well, clearly we are. 🙂 I do it primarily for the taste, secondarily for the appreciation and knowledge of good beers and thirdly for the social aspect. Getting "hammered" is never a consideration. That's not to say I don't enjoy that small frisson of headiness after a small amount; it can be quite enjoyable. We're all different.
  3. Indeed, as long as you stick to your alcohol limit. 6 medium glasses of Peter Vella, 220ml. each at 11 ABV would be an acceptable 14.52 units.
  4. It's not always helpful to just say 5 drinks. You need to know the ABV of the drinks and stay under the recommended level of 14 units per week. As a rule of thumb 5 large bottles of Chang at 4.8 ABV would be just over 14 units at 14.88. If you were drinking the same amount of Duvel it would be way over at 26.35 units, so ABV and volume is important. It's also important not to have over 9 units in one sitting and have a few days break after reaching the limit. Give your liver time to do it's job.
  5. This has all the hallmarks of the Sherlock Holmes story The Devil's Foot, where a group of people are found poisoned around a table, foaming at the mouth. Clue: check the lamp. ; )
  6. A return trip into town.
  7. I've got these in sequential number order. I originally thought they would be nice as birthday presents but to be honest I put them in my safe and forgot I had them. I'll just keep them.
  8. They were commemorative notes issued a few years ago. They actually issued some of them at atms. I've got a whole bunch of them in sequential numbers and mint condition. I'll hold on to them.
  9. The request for information about pension money might suggest that. If so it's something above that which has been necessary for previous extensions.
  10. O.K. but as you say the requirements are confusing. Did you clarify the points with them?
  11. I'm glad I did the main tourist destinations back in the 90's. I'd love a bit of a beach holiday now but couldn't stand anywhere too-overdeveloped.
  12. Stupid comment. You know what I was saying. I see Katie Hopkins is now all upset about no PR too. Wonder why?
  13. The Lib Dems have been campaigning for PR for 40 years or more. Now it affects Farage you're moaning about it. Who would've thought.
  14. Remember the old saying, Will. "Beer and wine and you'll feel fine. Wine and beer and you'll feel queer."
  15. Quite. So this doesn't fit. In the U.K. we've saught continuously to limit the powers of the King and the PM. This is going the other way. Even when Tony Blair decided in his wisdom to invade Iraq he had to go through Parliament. The U.S. is now leaning towards the Putin model.
  16. So if the leader of the USA is "entitled to “absolute immunity” from criminal prosecution for "official acts" will the USA extend that courtesy to foreign leaders' for "official acts" perpetrated against them? Governments and judiciaries should advocate for less power to elected leaders, not more. Isn't the U.S. Constitution primarily about limiting power?
  17. Crime and Humidity? Wasn't that Fyodor Dostoevsky? 🙂 Seriously though, the worst part of the humidity is getting washing dry.
  18. 3. Plastic pitch? or are we not counting the old first division. I know Hull City is the only league team where you can't colour in a letter but that would be the same in the Chmpionship.
  19. Snowy IPA at the moment. A break from all the pale lagers.
  20. You've failed to address everything I've asked and just turned the conversation around. I'll let the good people here decide who the troll is. You make it so difficult to converse sensibly with you. I'm done.
  21. Hogwash. You mentioned Pride and a "movement" which I took to be LGBT. Are u saying it was a different movement? Lol. If you state something and use a particular word it's up to you to explain what you mean by it, not others. "Supremacy" has sinister connotations. The six examples were just an attempt at humour because I knew you would struggle with one. In any case Happy Pride.
  22. You're the one that mentioned supremacy. It's up to you to say what gay supremacy is because I have no clue what you mean by it. That's why I asked you to give examples.
  23. Can you outline some of these areas of supremacy? Just half a dozen will do.
