  1. There are a number of reasons to pour. It lets the beer oxygenate which imparts flavour, lets carbonation out to let it settle, creates a head in some beers and provides a better way of gauging the aroma, to name a few. Of course none of this matters if you just want to get drunk. ????
  2. I'm not above drinking out of a can if necessary but always have new beers in a glass to see the colour.
  3. The cans are lined so you shouldn't get a metallic taste from them.
  4. They use three different hops so there's a slight difference in flavour profile. The Yellow Sub was a bit fruitier as I recall.
  5. There's three, Columbus, Galaxy and Yellow Sub. I tried them a few weeks ago and one of them was o.k. but I can't remember which one now.
  6. Looks lovely but the water is freezing. I made that mistake at Morar. ????
  7. I didn't realize you could have concurrent passports. I'll have to look at that. Thanks.
  8. Lol. Didn't read my second post above did you? I actually worked in anti money laundering for a major bank for several years so I'm quite aware of the dangers. For avoidance of doubt I haven't lost my passport, I was asking a hypothetical question.
  9. Thanks ubonjoe. The problem with that is you have to put in all your personal details and potentially have your passport cancelled before they advise you how it will be replaced and I'm not willing to risk having a perfectly good passport deleted. I was just wondering if anyone had already gone through the process to explain the procedure of receiving a replacement. Hopefully it will never happen but I did almost lose my passport at Udon Thani airport once so forewarned is forearmed.
  10. I might add that I haven't actually lost my passport ......yet, but I'd like to be prepared for that eventuality.
  11. What is the procedure for lost or stolen U.K. passports in Thailand? Obviously you would not be able to present your current passport at VFS, so do they accept photocopies and alternate i.d. ? Does anyone have any recent experience of this?
  12. Well obviously if they have proper mental health issues it's another matter.
  13. He was characterized as being loud, aggressive, xenophobic and homophobic. Bit difficult not to judge him on that whatever his age or life experience. One would hope that maturity and experience would bring better qualities.

  15. I remember a few years ago in a debate a pro-hunt woman stated that fox hunting was vital in keeping fox numbers down. A few minutes later after someone had accused the hunt of wholesale slaughter she said that wasn't true and that the hunts only killed a small number a year. Once someone pointed out that she'd contradicted herself she started to flounder. There's no excuse for fox hunting.
  16. The Straight Pride flag is black and white stripes. Crikey! They've got pedestrian crossings everywhere. I'm so sick of seeing them all. ????
  17. Gay Pride is about visibility and acceptance. Straight Pride makes no sense. Maybe when gays become 51% of the population it might start to. ????
  18. Coloured crossings have been a thing for a while with UK councils. The so-called Pride rainbow crossings are just one example of that. Rainbow crossings represent people who are gay and those who support them, so 5% is wildly off.
  19. With anti-biotics you should be prescribed a course of treatment and it's important that you complete the course whether you feel well or not. There are a number of resources online that describe dosage.
  20. Presumably this is Thai couples only as foreigners cant own property other than designated condos.
