Absolutely NOT.
Sorry.
Also note being a bona fide, you are not REQUIRED to obtain U.S. based health insurance. In other words, living abroad provides an exemption from any fines for not being covered.
Thank God, That's good news

When you look at university cost in many places, then look at the international web sites that rate schools worldwide you would think Thai schools would pick up students.

I thought an auction was bidding and the highest bid won got the prize. Since when can anyone refuse to give you what you would bid on if you won the auction? Truly amazing Thailand!!!

It is called a "reserve". I would guess I have been to more than 200 auctions of various types from the county estate auction to heavy industrial auctions. Most are not reserve auctions or they will have a few items that a reserve price has been set. Most of the time they do not state the reserve price in the auction catalog, just simply they state "reserve". It is quite common but does not help attendence in my opinion.

They never have painted the inside of Swampy Airport so it looks unfinished. Maybe they will condem Swampy also...........I hope. Ha ha
Actually Pib hits the nail right on the head with his comment.
I am not Thai. However, I don't embrace the concept of painting much either. My race, the human race.Though TV comments are often so racist it is laughable reading them. Though sympathetic to how the haters must be suffering and drowning in their grief and wrong doings....misguided lives and conceptualisations. I too was once very lost. Read a book. Things of this nature (the Mall) are common worldwide. We're building this world. Push, pull or get out of the way. Have nice day.
Don't call them derelict...it's just they haven't been painted since construction (with no plans to paint)....and black mold can build up quite a bit after a decade or so. The concept of periodic painting is not a concept many Thais embrace. Why not tear it down? Along with all the other derelict abandon buildings in the city?
"The whole of Asia needs a coat of paint", a line from City of ghosts by James Caan's character.
People build apartments, houses etc and then forget to repaint after a few years. Not everyone, not all, but too many. Maintenance is a cost, not an asset according to some people. Travel around Bangkok and see how many once white buildings are still sadly wearing their birthday coat of paint under the grime, slime and scars of time.
This mall may well be a common sight world wide, but it is a sad comment on our society when construction can be started and left unfinished as owners decide to walk away and abandon their projects. The difference is, in other societies improvements, or demolition would be ordered at the expense of the landowner.

Only 15 years, she got off way to light. 50 years sounds much better for wht she did.

Bank of America has an Iphone app that you take a photo of both sides of the check and they put the funds in the account for you. Thats if you have aBOA account. When I, rarely, receive a paper check from the U.S., I snail mail it back to my U.S. bank. That way I have access to the funds via my Thai ATM card within about 7-10 days. If it's a largish check, send via Thai Registered mail.

Initially for her mother and son to live in but it would be ours to use at a later date.
You will never get her family out of the house so you can live in it when you want to if she lets you stay around that long.
Big houses are a bad idea......gets family making too many visits as they are comfortable.
Four door pick ups also a bad idea........they draw extra tax every year and family wants to go all the time. Get the open cab so you can carry passengers if you need too but they are not so comfortable.
Take the advice of buying a condo, protects you as it can go in your name. Also if you end up single most condos have a security guard services of some kind and while not good it is better than nothing as you have in most houses.

Why would the police accuse this Thai oil company of poaching forest land if they had documents from eight agencies showing it was not forest land. Which came first the documents or the drilling?
The company is not Thai. I have seen maps in Thailand that were marked as forest area but there was hardly a tree as most had been cut down years ago.No matter the map showed forest reserve land.

i would be skeptical of any official statistic.
You mean the Thai Government is like the US Government? They might put out figures with a "spin".

No question, Ford all the way....or Mazda. Almost same truck from same factory.

IMHO KK is too far from Bkk, traffic too bad, and in general not that good to live in. It might be better to be in the BKK outskirts like Nontaburi or perhaps Pakchong between Saraburi and Korat.
Of course different strokes for different folks. I have lived several places in Thailand over the last 25 years and now I would never consider anything more than +/-2 hrs out of Bkk.

Hmmm we'll they would be legal if they had done things the right way. If they did not do things the right way they are criminals anyway. And last but not least the US needs a simple work permit system that has nothing to do with citizenship. You work then go home when the job is no longer there.

I oppose American airline flag carriers..............bad service, with rude staff, on some routes charging for drinks, and the loss of luggage all add up to my decision in not taking any american airlines if at all possible.

A bit of good news to brighten my day. I think his execution was planned better than his murder of that 15 year old kid.

Several years ago I think Ford had a special "Farang" loan section, not sure on that but heard that. As far as the vehicle on longevity and cost to operate you will be ahead with a Ford or a Mazda. If you trade vehicles often Toyota or Isuzu is the best way due to resale value.

If they are illegal they should leave, if they are legal no problem. I wish the US would do the same with Nancy Pelosi's "undocumented workers".

Over the past 25 years I have seen farangs marry working girls and also seen them marry non-working girls. If you discount the working girl ones that you "just knew would not work out" from the word GO for various reasons(she was the Mamasan for the last 20 years or she was the Banana show girl straight from the floor) I reckon the divorce rate is about the same between non-working & working girls. In fact I would go as far to say some of the worst ones were non-working girls IMHO. I observed someone who was made miserable by his well educated wife who told him when to eat, what to eat, what clothes to wear, what car to buy, what house to buy, etc. She would correct him at will in front of anyone. She thought she was cute with that PHD, I thought something else.

If the US counted these "shootings" as terrorist attacks the US would #1 in the world for terrorists attacks.

All that education will do is tell the ones who haven't yet heard of the bliss of being in debt up to your eyeballs to go to the bank and try their luck. Gotta keep up with the Joneses.

Anything that Obama and Hillary recommends has got to be wrong. I would vote the opposite way of their recommendation without any research.
