The economy is terrible in the USA with an over supply of teachers in many areas. I was reading on the net that China has now passed the USA as the worlds largest economy. Here is a simple formula if you want to know the pressure in pounds per square inch.

You will have to determine how much pressure you need yourself.

Water weight is 8.33 pounds per gallon

0.052 is a constant

H=Height of the water level above the faucet

8.33 x 0.052 x H=Pressure in PSI

Example: 8.33 x 0.052 x 80 ft= 34.65 psi

A couple of caveats, be sure the ID of the pipe is large enough not cause friction loss & any elbows also cause restriction so keep them to a minimum.

I am lucky enough or rather she is lucky enough that I work for a company that has a great retirement plan.The company has in place a plan that if an employee works a certain amount of years(Which I am nearly to this milestone)and the employee is retired, upon the death of the employee the wife gets 15% of the base salary each month the remainder of her life. This has nothing to do with their retirement plan. It is an extra thing. That 15% of my base salary is a pretty hefty amount in Thailand so she should be in great shape the remainder of her life. The sad part is that all of this just sort of happened. I really did not plan all of this but was lucky enough that I got a better job than I ever guessed I would. I was going to be ok in retirement before I took my present job but now its a bit surreal.

If for a house, no its unheard of to pay a years rent in advance.

For commercial space does the payment include key money upfront, with a monthly rent being paid?

Maybe you have never heard of it but it's common where there's low rental properties and lots of people looking to rent. Who would you decide on if 2 prospective tenants, both good people, wanted your property and 1 offered a years rent upfront?

If I wanted to rent and was confronted with that scenario, I would walk. But that might just be me. What would you do? Keeping in mind there are thousands of properties out there.

I guess if the property is in high demand but in being in Thailand for 25 plus years i have never done that pay up front deal. While I have owned a home most of the time I have rented many house's when working in other areas of the country. I would shy away from paying that advance rent if possible.
