  1. just continue to stay calm and keep in mind in the legal system she has no grounds to divorce you or at the very least it will be years in the future.

also money to support your kids is not calculated as percentage of salary, but on costs of living with bkk being highest with perhaps some 20-30k per month for 2 kids till 18 years or so old including school etc...

of course all assets after marriage may have to be shared 50/50 like house car etc, but example you wanna move back to your country with 1 kid so sell house and you will have a good deal of cash recovered in your half while of course the wife may think she can keep all & not able to pay you your half of the house value!!

although your wife seem to behave a bit violent it seems you have still some control but slow down see how it looks after staying apart a while. let her know you will support kids, but cut or stop all support to wife for now and take it from there...

it may also be that in the end you can find a way back together again if this is more like a extreme situation which will not get worse?

in this case you may consider family therapy/counseling...

    best of luck

Talk to a lawyer for sure but child support is more like 3000 to 5000 baht per child per month plus 1/2 school fee's. Stay tight on the cash, as she will just spend it on her Thai BF anyway, and buy the kids extra things they might need. Good luck mate.

  2. Thai girls in my office said they would never marry a Thai boy cos they treat them like a maid and make them wash their clothes separately, as the men's clothes are more important. Had to laugh at that.

I thought that was standard practice world wide. I guess that's the reason a few Thai girls said I act too much like a Thai man.cheesy.gif

  3. Something Texas does right. The only problem is the many years that these scum are a burden to the taxpayer while they prolong the appeal process. They should just feed them to the bears at the zoo the same day they are convicted.

and if they've got the wrong guy ?

99.999% of the time if they have the wrong guy is it because he only fired the shot that wounded the guy while his mate fired the shot that killed the guy. Have a read of Texas Death Row last words. Most confess is they say anything at all. I person I went to school with hired a killer to kill his parents that adopted him and then set their house on fire. he got the big injection, I wish I could have been there to watch. POS

  4. You will be bored to death in Issan, spend much of your time trying to convince yourself you are happy, and be looking for things to do. Why not compromise and move to the outskirts of Bangkok? Have a bit of peace and quiet but only an hour or so to Bkk. Maybe a bit further like Pakchong or Korat but still within 2 or 3 hrs of Bkk. You will be much more content I believe.

  5. If my memory serves me correctly there was some years back a presence of Domino's Pizza here in Thailand. Personally I always found their products somewhat superior to their then competitors.

Indeed welcome news the return of Domino's Pizza.

I know for a fact in the mid-90s there was a Dominos on Sukhumvit 71 and also one on Chang Wattana.

    I loved their Taco Pizza.

  6. I have obtained 3 Birth Abroad Certificates for my kids with Passports over a 20 year period. None I found to be that hard to do. For 2 kids I was not married to the mother. Any kind of documentation including photos with the kid & mom showing him growing up, Xmas cards from family back in the USA with everyone's name, etc all help in building the case.

My experience is the more info you can show that establishes some kind of ongoing long term relationship the better it is.

    That's my experience anyway.

  7. Visa and Mastercard are ok but no where near the same league as American Express. I have had both for +/- 35 years. The problems I have had with Amex I can count on one hand. The problems with Visa and Mastercard I need all my fingers and toes plus a few knuckles. I know fewer places take Amex and I know the card fee is a bit higher but in the long run you will have fewer problems.
