I do not have a UK address and have non-Thai accounts using my Thailand one. An example would be the UK's National Savings..... Many banks will support non local addresses, although a few have withdrawn the facility of late (Barclays and Santander I believe).

They are going to cross reference every single foreign ATM card transaction in Thailand with some retirement extension (or TM30 or Tm47) database? It seems formidable and unlikely. My only thought is if they can get foreign banks to give details of customers holding accounts registered to a Thailand address. Again, strikes me as difficult.

I suspect a few of the VIPs in Hollywood have and more.

They really need to reduce the high tariffs on drinks like foreign wines and fine scotch etc, I suspect that is what many tourists miss when visiting Thailand.

Is there any viable train travel to be incentivized towards? The service between Pattaya and Bangkok is hardly convenient, rapid and regular!

Did mine mid December and Pattaya immigration was swamped.... the streets in town seem to be too. Could well be a lot more locals who do not frequent the same nightlife.

I predict they will be up on last year! There seems to be an elevated level of recklessness in the air due to police inactivity of late.
