For many, it gets too expensive to travel and maintain 2 homes, they get older and the traveling becomes difficult, we find there is less and less to go back to. But make the best of it while you can.

One of the reports (of the many recent boat incidents), mentioned over 70 passengers in a speedboat. Either they got the category wrong and it was something bigger, or it was overladen. Thailand seems to have got off lightly with respect to these incidents... many tourists from particular countries, do not swim well at all.

Or to keep an eye on things. I have heard of a farang bar manager being barfined too. But mostly, feedback I got from owners, was that attractive girls is the best pull... although one also told me the one katoey he employed was the best performer, as per getting taken off.
