  1. She also accompanied him into a hotel....... and chose to make her escape later. All sounds strange.
  2. Agreed there.... you hear so many cases of 13-14 year olds out and about in gangs after midnight.... and at that age cannot be charged with any crime whatever they get up to.
  3. Yeah well, it's not like the US is a great example of safety on the streets at night from juveniles is it?
  4. I saw a guy on a Segway type of device whizzing towards Suk down Klang the other day, and have also seen people on electric scooters on Suk and The Railway Line Bypass.... I thought this a dangerous way to go, but at least the Segway guy had a crash helmet on, and both hands on the steering.
  5. Well there isn't a 7-11 nearby with a trash can, but I suspect there might be one on the railway platform.
  6. So many ride looking at their phones......
  7. Nonsense comment... usually those running out of money leave Pattaya, to go sit in the dirt in her Nakhon Nowhere village.
  8. Yes, at my age, I sit better than I can stand! I can do without the dangerous 20+ km round trip to immigration too.
  9. I would be more concerned by the oversized crowds gawping!
  10. My thoughts is that kids will do this sort of thing and at least they are using protection. I wouldn't worry about the image of Pattaya from what is going on here, in the middle of nowhere, a couple of Km out of town... one would simply need to look in some of the main streets off the Beach Rd! Few tourists arrive by train.
  11. And it isn't standing in line in a crowd!
  12. Yes, they can be noisy.... used to have a PA system blaring out from the monks all round the village at high volume.... some farangs complained to the police and we then got anti-farang rants at high volume for a week. Used to wish to be back next door to a mosque like I was in Abu Dhabi! Quieter from the monks these days! Just the early morning bell and chants on a Buddha day!
  13. Heck, I went down Klang yesterday being somewhat deafened by an older guy on what appeared to be a Harley....all noise over substance, as it didn't appear o be able to go particularly fast. Not a young rider either...... The locals just don't seem to be bothered by the standard noises of life here, motorcycles, farm vehicles, dogs and cockerels... it's just day to day life.
  14. Why would you think a young girl would be better off on a 400cc motorcycle?
  15. Agreed.... Being told that 'is the 'going rate' is BS.... it is on the high side. As you say Maneerat is known to charge 8k, I have seen 7k advertised, Mots asked 8k last time. Only difference might be if they drive you to soi 5 in an AC car, or send you on a motorcycle taxi. Key Visa want 10k.
  16. I suspect the ladies had a similar high percentage expecting to get some form of 'tip'....
  17. Although it appears he brought a knife with him anyways.......
  18. Loud enough in my experience......
  19. Third is a dodgy road.... struggled to get across it as a pedestrian in Sunday, the pelican crossing does not appear to be working, and on the bike, I get very edgy waiting my turn to turn right off 3rd.
  20. I kinda think they got the right suspect!
  21. They are recruited with the aid of brown envelopes!
