  1. Yep, no need for soccer on the TV with real life going on. Soi 6, as viewed from the Queen Vic, can also be good entertainment but not the same traffic content.
  2. It doesn't appear the car driver was trying to kill himself. More accurately he was using his car as a weapon and trying to kill others. A murder attempt and not in the least amusing.
  3. Well fair enough, good work by police. This was to be expected along with giving them visa exempt entry.
  4. Yeah, maybe! I am rather cynical where the integrity of police is concerned here. A joint account may be a good solution providing one has great faith in the partner.
  5. The claim is that it is not. Refined salt is indeed only NaCl, but that is missing other salts and trace minerals that are beneficial and can be found in say sea salt etc.
  6. Maybe a fair approach before the police take them.
  7. I always remember visiting a 'clinic' some years ago in Pattaya.....the 'doctor' in there was an elderly guy who actually spoke not bad English. It took me but a few minutes to have doubts about his qualifications as he was talking nonsensically. You takes your chances. The 13000 baht hair topic I bought still hasn't produced any new growth and seems to attract wasps!
  8. A Nissan March being driven like a Ferrari by the looks of it.
  9. Then the addicts, who steal, mug, shoplift and hang around in town centres, urinating in the streets should do the non addicts a favour and take their presence somewhere else... some people need help and restricting access to drugs is an attempt to keep them away from their weaknesses.
  10. So he is up in Udon now? I recall him on 2nd Rd near the top of soi 6, and then out by the lake here.
  11. Do they ever regard it as a loan when the source is a foreigner? ' Can you lend me' means 'can you give me' surely.
  12. And THais do seem to have an aversion to going out of their way and riding against traffic is preferred.
  13. Oh well, due to do mine beginning of December, just have to see how it goes.

Don't think I have seen any barcode readers in there since the refurbishment got going.
  15. The stiff I chuck in my pool or people cook with?
  16. If the guy had the funds in there that should be straight forward. If he did it without funds, I expect they went out of town.
  17. No. If one could be bothered to read the contract they were signing it said you were liable for all damages.
  18. Presuming it is mainly North to South we got Second Rd to cater for the opposite direction. These things seem to settle in after a spell of chaos. I still remember the complaints of making Second Rd into a One way....
  19. They have yet to learn that yelling 'Stop, Police' sometimes has little effect, and the nimble suspects, who work at a clinic, knew the pot bellied policemen would not make pursuit!
  20. Quita a convoluted tale..... a bit surprised when I read on that the group included females, I thought the local 'rent a thug' only employed males.
  21. I was being overly optimistic they came over with the cans of Batchelor's Mushy Peas. There is some UK brand of frozen pies on offer in Big-CX.
  22. Well I was thinking of a shop selling them, Hollands preferably. Where exactly are you suggesting?
  23. Mmmm, wouldn't mind finding a supply of those. I seem to recall getting them in Pattaya a long long time ago at Dave's GB Bar.
