    Yeah, me too, I walked out with a large envelope of cash...... I believe one can pre-order the foreign currency at TT and they will have it ready on quite short notice.

    It is quite easy and a free service......... although I must admit I got an agent to do mine last time, as I had other things to do at the same time.

    It might depend on where it is happening. Random road blocks out of town, I might agree, but I watched them at work on The Beach Rd once in front of the station. Definitely picking out more farangs.... they were helping by mostly not wearing helmets though. It is collection season for the big party.

    That is interesting ... like many I am sure I can't be arsed to read the T&Cs and leave a bit of money on account there... never had this happen yet, but I tend to make an order at least once a month.

    My Visa agent worker made that tenuous link.... as an excuse for putting me through extra steps. The underlying reason being one of the guys involved had a retirement extension that was obtained without fully qualifying, and they had been told to be more thorough!

    Yes dangers can be avoided by avoiding some areas, although I would not use the USA as a yardstick.... I agree it is minimal here, and I have not had serious issue in many years, and i do go to some of those areas......but I have certainly seen it kick off or have the potential to.

    I wonder if they even test the seawater and react to the results accordingly? It would be detrimental to the image of the town, more-so than the air pollution. There used to be a run off into the sea viewable from many Jomtien sea front condos, although it was done usually at night... I wonder why. Where would all this sewage go... I see some gets poured directly into these storm drains by food outlets..

    Perhaps those attending the Fireworks Festival, or the Jazz Festival, the World Jet Ski championships and a New Years Countdown.....it's not like the place is empty of couples, real ones. .

    Ah, this would be the case of a chest freezer being driven around Jomtien in a pickup. Rumored to have really stirred things up and caused police to be stricter with retirement extensions......

    A local account and the phone app are fast becoming common, easy and safe to use with scan and pay. I would be dubious of using a foreign credit card, for both the high risk of getting ripped off and the fact that they offer poor exchange rates, and sometimes foreign transaction surcharges.

    An owners over indulged son who has a drug habit was to blame in the case of a friend of mine. Not an apartment nor safe in the block he could not open.

    Not a fan of victims being involved in the criminal justice system. Penalties should be defined by law. I might be sympathetic to victims families being able to suggest commute from a death sentence to life in prison.

    Must agree about the South Rd..... had the misfortune to need to head from Buakhao to Suk that way recently. It is being worked on though.
