  1. If it is cheaper than home I would say not. The older days the Thai ladies supplied exemplary service, not so sure that still applies.
  2. Often hear of 'blind spots' as being blamed. In the modern age there should be no such thing, nor should a vehicle being driven blind be allowed on roads. Mrs was watching a horrific incident on Thai TV last night of an HGV truck, without trailer, mowing over a woman on a motorcycle at low speed, at a junction causing her decapitation..... even fuzzed out it was horrific.
  3. I remember an incident some years back where a large group was arrested and packed in, and there was a shortage of cuffs. Surprise surprise only a couple left when they got to the station.
  4. There is no reference to a Thai driver in that post, mainly a complaint of lack of policing, which is true. Thrappaya is not road I would like to cross at night... along with a few others. Barry was a character in Pattaya, well known and respected, very very clever. A great loss to the Expat community.
  5. Whilst they are pretty handy and superior to smaller snakes, I am not sure what they can do to a sizeable python.
  6. Then report them, they will get quickly hidden. Not needed in a thread about a drunken Brit!
  7. I just don't see that happening... mummy needs it to get to her market stall. We get it where I live too on Hwy 36, some bigger bikes there as well as on the Sukhumvit nearby.
  8. Yes, my thought was 'not the Japanese too'......!
  9. Must be getting ready to open after all this time eh?
  10. Nor the Russian and Thai lady who did it in the back of a pickup in Phuket being driven around the town (I think it was Phuket), some social media stunt.
  11. Subway must be looking on her with great envy from the corner.
  12. How do people like yourself come to these conclusions of what complete strangers watch for news. It is essentially a dim witted thing to do. I find most USA outlets a poor choice.
  13. Probably get as much respect as the disabled lane on soi Yume.
  14. Struggling to grasp why the Israelis need to be brought up in this matter!
  15. You seem to fall into that category somewhat,
  16. Looks like it was raining at the time, it can be a bit boring in town.
  17. Seems a fair approach.... taking on board the reported information and commenting, rather than fabricating scenarios that are works of fiction based on nothing but an agenda.
  18. I must admit I had to search for a place that would do the op for what I thought was reasonable money, many seemed to sense 'falang owner' and ask silly amounts. Mrs found a place in Rong Po, but that is rather far out of town.
  19. And most of the population of Bangkok on a long weekend!
