The crowds can make it difficult to get away, so plan ahead. I have always booked somewhere to stay (and park) within walking distance of the beach, or even a view of it. Then arrive in the afternoon, park up, go for an evening meal....etc. An easy drive out in the morning.... trying to get out of town the same night is a nightmare.

Of course that could be said of many countries but this is the Pattaya News section of a Thailand Forum. The News is, she has been caught 5 years later. I really do not see the point of discussing elsewhere, deflection..... there is also no mention if the tourist simply left the valuables lying around while going for breakfast, or had put them away in a safe or locked bag. The amount involved is a strong temptation to a girl working 6 long days a week for small money....

I am beginning to think catching it is inevitable unless one lives like a hermit. A pal of mine, who also has other health issues, has had 4 Covid jabs and just contracted it. It has made him bedridden but likely due to the 'other conditions' symptoms getting worse, and is now on anti-virals.
