You are joking...here in Thailand they can't even chew with their mouths closed. The coughing and sneezing indiscretions are often more to do with westerners though. Putting a hand over nose or mouth really isn't sufficient I feel in a pandemic situation.

Mask wearing is getting pretty loose here in the Pattaya area, I would not take something so trivial so seriously. There is more to life. Or perhaps there isn't in Australia?

Well you can't so other measures (and behaviors) would be necessary. It should include mask wearing as a component.

And is that the complete story wrt mask efficacy (against Covid transmission)? No it is clearly not, so banging on about it repetitively is a backwards argument and an irrelevant point. And I do not need to be told I have to take a mask off to eat... and drink, nobody on this whole forum does so another moronic point! Nor does anyone believe face masks are 100% effective at preventing Covid transmission so another foolish point from you! Perhaps like bullet proof vests, but I likely would still consider one in some situations. Make relevant points and I may waste more of my time, but it would be wasted .... I have made similar points a multitude of times and am sure you will, for the umpteenth time, tell us again the Covid virus is smaller than 'pores' in face masks! Yeh.....

Why particularly? What problems do you face in Thailand.... we know the UK is awash with issues and Australia's biggest city is under water.

That might be fine if the poor delicate souls who do not wish to wear masks did not spout off about how they are of no benefit and ineffectual; and even in some cases detrimental. Nor with 2 vaccinations and 3 or 4 boosters. Since I can't depend on those a mask may be the only option left....

As far as I am concerned some maskless fool coughing and sneezing on me poses a risk. It certainly does transfer in the air and you appear very lacking in knowledge. Best you do not make such comments.

It is likely there are warnings on arrival in Indonesia..... although I wonder if they have places to dump contraband.
