  1. I have to admit to liking a milky one...and with a bit of sugar.....but don't go for flavorings, nor even a sprinkling of cocoa powder. They will be using candy sprinkles and crushed nuts like an ice-cream sundae next!
  2. So what happens then? Run a slice of bread round it for the morning bread and dripping delight?
  3. Jeez, I would not think of doing it. Generally avoid using my foreign CC in Thailand as it often works out uneconomical. I have a Thai CC but still stick with cash here for Bolt.
  4. You know better than me then mate! I only stepped into one once visiting! I doubt it got much better, but it is cheap, near many facilities and there is a lot of stuff getting built nearby, I think Thai style food market.
  5. Even many years ago, when Jomtiem was the go to beach place, I often found I got a lot of skin irritation and small bites off both the beach sand and in the sea...Anyone with a sea view condo can warn you of the dark patches that pour out into the Jomtien sea early morning.
  6. I would have thought a baseball cap (put on the right way around, not moron style), along with sun glasses , would do the job well enough. Can maybe get down soi Pothole without getting called out!
  7. The cleaners come in early at Nirun so they have to get out for a few hours!
  8. Yes, but not on Walking street. We have plenty of Mosques, Churches, temples, and surprise surprise Buddhist Wats. Religion based charity buildings like Father Ray's, Fountain of Life and many others. But most of town bows to another religion, debauchery.
  9. Well I must admit, I used to also, a breakfast in Simple Simon's, and an hour in an MP in the next street too. Got to get value out of the car-parking charge.
  10. I thought it would at least be elevated like the Bangkok Expressways.
  11. I get a cheap one from the kiosk in the food court, a large for 60 baht, and can then look across to an Amazon. My coffee tastes fine. Last time I used a Starbucks I did like the coffee, and the comfy seat, but can't remember what I paid as I they would not take cash and I used a CC.
  12. That statement suggests you haven't really got an inkling about what is going on there. I tend to agree they have little in common, but their inability to interact is usually a language barrier. It's a bit annoying on the customer side too, having just spent 200 baht on a LD, to find she speaks no English, is as dumb as a rock and is really just eye candy.
  13. Depends how you define older......but I don't believe so. Judging by the interest we see I think a good proportion still hit the nightlife..... I am at the top (over the hill) end of that! Nor do I think there are that many family types here, who can then be found pushing prams round T21
  14. He was found guilty already by the constitutional court!
  15. Tongue well down back of the tighty whiteys! He must have received a good offer!
  16. Perhaps they could offer plastic returnable fake coffees for that Facebook/Tiktok selfie as a budget option?
  17. Not much choice wrt to phones though.
  18. The variety of the places available is way down on a decade or more ago. Soi 15 which alone provided me with many hours of entertainment can do so no more, and a the Walking St strip no longer pulls me in. Prices are a deterrent, doubt I could afford an hour between 2 bikini clad girls these days!
  19. Lean meat alone would not work well.... I thought it was pretty much rendered or drained down on the very outer cooked edge that is cut off. Perhaps some of the Arab eateries around Soi 16 area are more original.
  20. The 2024 one.... a lady will peel off as you enter, if you are not quick to buy her a drink they are off to leave you alone. Plenty of reason not to buy a drink for them as they are overpriced and consumed quickly. Are they any better than the younger ones strutting around shirtless, for some strange reason big bushy beards being sported, and having upper torso mostly covered in tatts, it looks like someone has vomited pizza over them?
  21. Yes, my pals in VT5 make a lot of reference to the proximity of immigration. Sure it is a PITA, but I only need to go there 2 times a year, and would never have liked the trip back and forth on the baht bus after a night out in town. Jomtien nightlife is a poor second. Jomtien more suited to older and families.
  22. As mentioned, the one behind Numchai, Sukhumvit.... to get there turn left out of Klang onto Suk, take the U-turn immediately before the Soi Siam CC lights, and left infront of Numchai....follow the road around, near to Fascino there.
  23. Well I guess I need to eat crow as I was certainly not expecting that......
  24. And we dare not mention at what age that actually occurs mostly!
