but isn't the lack of enforcement why you moved to Thailand? it's all part of the sanuk that makes this place so enjoyable.

pretty hard not to be selfish in a country where you don't get handouts like in the nanny state. life is hard scrabble for most people here.

you've obviously never driven in Sydney.

I've been on heaps of buses in Thailand. recently took the crappy bus from Ekkamai to Patts and back to get my prepaid Moderna jab. got stuck up the back coming back and it was a bit hot but I survived. and yes, they have seatbelts in buses now. they're a good way to save money if you're on a tight budget or you blew more than you expected to last night at the club. I personally think that the drivers of the big blue and white rigs are decent drivers, if they were so bad we'd be hearing reports of crashes every day. it's those brightly-coloured domestic tour buses that worry me.

I don't understand why Cheap Charlie's take crappy B1,200 taxis to the airport when they can order the AOT 7-Series limo for a few bucks more ????

sorry man I skimmed the article but kinda switched off after the bit about Patpong. PP itself is quiet as the grave but there's still a bit of life in Patpong 2. it would have been nice if you'd stopped in at the places that are open and given us a proper review. but I guess you're too shy to go into Dream Boy or Bar Bar ????

yes. some dudes came over here many moons ago on non-indexed government pensions and that's they're only source of income. this forum is more of an agony aunt column than a place to exchange useful information so it's easy to come on here and moan about how bad Thailand is/the Thais are rather than take responsibility for their poor financial decisions in their earlier lives.

your profile says you joined Thaivisa 2019. you've been here long enough to know the answer to that. -
How on earth do they fit in economy?

this is what I do on the Ekkamai to Pattaya bus if there are seats available. it eliminates the chance of being sat next to by a large farang in a Sing-ha or Chaang wife-beater ???? -
at swampy the "one day free" rule is officiall, there's a sign to that effect on the wall behind the immi counters. dunno about all the other international airports because I'm too poor to gallivant around the country now that the markets are down ????????????????????????

buy two tickets next time, habib. -
I'm not totally sensible, that's a work in progress ????. but you have to accept that certain things are going to happen here whether you like it or not or have a "conscience" or not. banging on about how it shouldn't happen or they aren't supposed to be there or its against the law is just p****g in the wind.

ser, which airport did you fly out from?

not only do they mix up their terms some of them get quite militant when you try to correct them. both in here and IRL. I've been called a tedious bore by some of my good friends when I try to help them with their visa stuff. next time I'll just let them go on overstay or have their "retirement visa" cancelled on a trip back home because they didn't get a re-entry permit.
