  3. He might be on to something ???? https://www.wasserstrom.com/blog/2018/10/23/spatula-history/#:~:text=A turner has a broad, come in high heat varieties.
  4. It was the rider's choice to drive in a dangerous manner. One doesn't ride into the back of semis if one is paying attention.
  5. it's a kebab shop not a burger joint
  6. I'm not seeing any farang involved in that scrap. The only farang I spotted are the couple in the background enjoying the show.
  7. tired old opinion, time to get a new schtick.
  8. well if you drink 20 pints of lager it's gonna to come out sooner or later ????
  9. why are you singling out farang guys? plenty of other foreigners are far more misogynistic. and don't get me started on Thai men and their proclivities.
  10. You can't install GPS in a taxi, it's a network of satellites that belong to the US military ????
  11. poor people? maybe some but there are a lot of married homies who don't want to be forced to keep 400k in the bank, or don't want to go to an Immigration orifice every year. or don't want to do 90 day reports. Dunno about retirement, I don't think so. I use an agent in Pattaya for my retirement needs, sod having to sell assets to keep 800k festering in a Thai bank at a low interest rate that's further reduced because I'm a foreign devil.
  12. TM30 online login credentials are for the property not the user.
  13. not going to happen. you're just p1ssing in the wind mate
  14. Perhaps the OP can use this opportunity to upgrade to a dual SIM phone that supports eSIM.
  15. OP's in Australia mate, he can't do that over there. You can't see a specialist without a referral from a GP.
  16. They missed the most important part of the story ... are the kebabs any good at that joint?
  17. Dutch passport holders don't need a visa to enter the Kingdom.
  18. Hi Ian, thanks for letting us know about the Virtual Card. However I got the attached error message when I tried to request a new card via the mBanking app. I went to my nearest branch here in Bangkok but they were unable to assist as the app is apparently the sole way to generate the new card number. I don't have a card attached to my transaction account, I cancelled it last year because of the B599 annual fee ???? Do you think this issue could be resolved if I call 1333? Otherwise I'll have to go to Pattaya where my account was created to get a physical card (the next level up from the Virtual Card, forget the name, 300 baht annual fee and MC not UP). Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide and appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule.
  19. Yeah I know but thanks for the encouragement ????
  20. Really? That's good to know. There's something called referred pain so my full ache could be coming from somewhere else.
  21. I got that from my GPs as well. Excess weight (fat) causes all sorts of problems that will go away if you follow the advice. Easier said than done of course, I'm struggling with weight issues at the moment; I'm 106 kegs when I should be about 75 and I have a dull ache in my liver area, so I feel your pain. I've just cut out the booze and am trying to eat more healthy options (bye bye KFC). I'm not expecting results for at least a month, these things take time.
  22. Yeah I read that it takes about six weeks for the liver to heal itself after abuse. I had the same issue last year, ultrasound clear but the pain persisted. It eventually went away after about a month of no booze and watching what I ate.
  23. If you grew up in the Canterbury-Bankstown area you'd know exactly what he's talking about. I lived there from 1976 until about 18 months ago and I agree with his assessment.
  24. He was referring to the Jonestown massacre in Guyana in 1978 where a crazy cult leader poisoned his followers with poisoned grape drink. Except it was Flavor Aid not Kool-Aid but somehow the latter brand has crept into the lexicon. 'The phrase “drinking the Kool-Aid” refers to followership at its worse. It was coined after a delusional, pseudo-guru named Jim Jones led his cult, the Peoples Temple, to mass suicide. Over 900 people, including 304 children, killed themselves by drinking from a vat of grape-flavored drink laced with cyanide.' https://www.forbes.com/sites/bruceweinstein/2018/03/29/two-great-reasons-to-stop-saying-i-drank-the-kool-aid/?sh=b4da90534e3e ps. apologies if you were being snarky and I misread your post ????
