What about the gatherings of thousands on the Sky Train and Mrt, not much alcohol involved but people crammed together day after day!
If they really want to stop the spread, mass test for free nationwide and self isolate the unfortunate positives cases and rapidly accelerate a full and comprehensive vaccination program for all.
With a current positive rate of 30% or more from only circa 40k PCR tests daily the situation is far from under control, yet the clueless Junta roll out the lets open up the country theme with daily projections of millions of tourists........ whilst two hundred locals die every day.

No, we cannot do that
Ok so you do need to book two tests in the Uk and self quarantine but in Belgium are you allowed to holiday for 10 days?

Interesting post, can we as Brits just fly to Belgium with no tests etc and stay for ten nights without restrictions and then forward to UK.?

Same study that reported many deaths of front line doctors in Indonesia double vaccinated with Sinovac.?
America and the UK infact provided the goodwill with donations of Pfizer and Astra Zeneca for free!
Whilst the Junta of Thailand being Chinas obedient bitch paid well over the odds for Sinovac although suitably compensated!

Rapid tests positive cases, 4,966 bringing the unofficial total to 20,418 pushing through the 20k mark once again!
https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/
44,562 official pcr tests carried out yesterday.
These official figures are showing over 30% positive rate from Pcr tests, that is incredibly high yet the official line is everything is under control lets relax regulations and open up the country, yet a year ago with circa 30 cases a day and virtually no testing it was full lockdown.
Am i missing something here? but isnt this just extreme negligence and encouraging the further spread of the virus with less than 20% vaccinated.

Having been vaccinated 2 weeks ago Astra first shot, will that have any bearing on an antigen test done now?, other than that it will be protecting me from the possible very serious effects of Covid if positive.

Question for the medical experts re covid antigen test, have completed two in the last 8 weeks both negative thankfully.
However due to risk exposure wish to check regularly.
When swabbing the nose you are looking to absorb the fluid in the nasal area etc.
So when sneezing, once every few days a great lump of jelly like mucus flies out of the nostril probably due to an allergy etc due to dust and no aircon.
Could you immediately shove the test swab into this jelly mucus thats just exited the nose as it represents the contents fluid deep in the nasal cavity ,instead of shoving the swab in each nostril to do the test?

If you decided to test the population en-mass, as should be done instead of trying to artificially lower those numbers so you can open, you might find a whole hell of a lot of actual cases. Funny thing is that the ones testing positive are showing up at the hospitals looking for treatment while the ones with minor symptoms testing positive via the ATK tests are staying home or better yet still wandering around infecting others.....
All very true and with a 31% positive rate from miniscule testing, opening up the country and lifting restrictions is clear evidence that the Junta are still deeply infected with delusional denial with apparently no cure for these megalomaniacs in sight.

The released fantasy figures should dip to around 12k tomorrow along with 50% of the population vaccinated and new purchases of 100 million vaccines by the end of the month.

maybe they calculate up - with uk doing 500,000+ tests a day and thailand 50k-. its not a hard thing to accept. I certainly would put thailand on a red list with near 30-40% positive rate
Yes its blindingly obvious I agree, with that positive test rate and so few tests in relation to population and ignoring antigen results should raise huge concerns.
Yet the Junta facade of covid is in massive decline in a week and alls well, nearly 50% vaccinated etc lets open up the country is perpetuated to the point of ridicule which they are well accustomed to.

Are the Juntas daily releases manipulated nonsense for their own agenda?
Do bears sh#t in the woods?
If there is such a dramatic down turn in figures contrary to the recent statement from a leading doctor, why have the British government just upgraded Thailand to red, the highest risk status.?

The Junta decided that a downward trend is needed for their agenda.
So limit testing, dont include antigen tests in published daily results and keep the bullsh@t press releases coming and never mind reality.
Thailand to have 140 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines this year (yahoo.com)
If the Juntas daily effluence had any strains of truth why has the Uk government suddenly upgraded Thailand to the Red zone highest risk status?

If she's been released from hospital then she must have tested negative and be considered clear of the virus. Having had the virus she now has a natural immunity.
There was a directive a week or so ago stating that patients deemed to have recovered by what ever criteria are no longer covid tested before being released from hospital.
I found that incredible but it was a full news item thread on this forum not long ago.

PCR tests, total of 16,536 official new infections, with 328 of those from prison and 16,208 from community (lowest since 27th July). 264 official covid deaths recorded still high.
Lets hope that typical delta wave pattern is kicking in and this is a genuine trend change, positive numbers although more declines in pcr tests.
Rapid tests positive cases, 2,670 bringing the unofficial total to 18,878
https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/
48,487 official pcr tests carried out yesterday.
If these figures are correct only 48k Pcr tests yet with 16k positives that is around 33% positive rate.
That is an incredibly high positive rate and if countrywide testing was applied the numbers would be vast.
Yet the Junta perpetuate their denial and delusion policy and are claiming that numbers are falling the worst is over and lets open up the country soon...............one huge rug and thousands of brooms.

Isnt the policy now to discharge patients who are feeling better and able to function without an oxygen tank.
They are now not subject to a covid test before being sent home........so that frees up hospital beds for the people they infect by going home untested.

Nope, £2,285.
Yep you are correct amended my post, it was increased recently from circa 1700 to 2285.GBP
interesting reviews below on CTM the company handling the bookings for the government.
Many of us who have been here many years use Thai banking debit cards and dont have UK credit cards, so how exactly are we meant to pay the 2,285 online to this company.
Also seems hard to find the information as to which hotel and where you will pay to be incarcerated.
COVID-19: Thailand reports 14,176 new coronavirus cases and 16,769 recoveries

Because they simply dont want to reveal and deal with the true situation and the policy of denial and delusion is their preferred method of Covid management.
Sometimes i think we get swept along with the Thai people into this almost brain washed complacent acceptance of the ludicrous fallacy that because Thailand is a relaxed happy party destination it has been given virtual exemption from the pandemic......the reality is sadly very different.
As others have already mentioned, only a miniscule 40k tested a day from a population of circa 70 million and returning a positive test rate of 35% is evidence all is far from well and the country should not be opened up or restrictions lifted until 80% of people are vaccinated fully with a decent vaccine.
