The homekits we can buy in Thailand for THB350 Baht are being bought for THB30 in Germany and China by the Govt and the fella at the top of the pile. Disgusting really that these crooks are charging 1100% Mark up in a country where the average wage is 300baht a day.
Totally agree average wage 300 baht for the low income workers, will they spend that on food or a test kit?
Never mind the Junta want to keep testing at the lowest levels possible....reality is not on their agenda.
Test kits available now are made by Roche of Switzerland who i believe donated a few million kits to Thailand for free.

Just imagine the opportunities. You'd get to be virtually ripped off by taxi or jetski mafia, you could enjoy virtual diarrhea from a virtual som tum stall. And what's even more amazing - this could be expanded to foreign tourists without much effort!
You forgot virtual encounters with girls needing money for their sick buffaloes cataract operation.

My treatment consisted on receiving blood pressure checks every four or so hours, overnight stay in a public general ward,, no food offered or given..Cost 4800 baht. I dont ask, or expect free or preferential treatment.
That is incredibly expensive,in a normal government hospital in Issan you can get a private room and basic nurse checks for circa 2k.
For sure this hospital applied a huge surcharge for a westerner!

A decent vaccine arrives courtesy of the USA well done.
What have the Junta done bar filling their pockets where all procurements must have incentives, fighter jets ordered before decent vaccines, still only the most miniscule of testing because the real situation would highlight their astonishing negligence and total disregard for the welfare of the populace.
May Karma dish them out their just deserts.

As with most of us no replies yet from ExpactVac registration re dates or vaccine.
However thailandintervac has now added Bkk hospital Khon Kaen to their list, the registration is kind of working offers a choice of vaccines in drop down menu, but the webpage states clearly offer is for Astra Zeneca first shot at KK central plaza in one week.
Wouldnt allow a time slot selection although options shown, so maybe fully subscribed already.

Very similar problems and use the saline nasal flush and the best spray that really does clear them Ive found to be Otrivin but meant to be for short term only.
Hot face cloths on the sinus regions do tend to loosen and decongest.
Loads of videos on youtube with various methods try Dr Alan Mandell and Adam fields also Austin Goh.
Worth a browse you may find something that helps.

Are the members of this association brain dead?? or being rich friends of the junta they are fully vaccinated with a decent vaccine and dont give a sh@t about anything over than money?
There is a pandemic tourism is irrelevant but saving lives isnt.
The plan that matters is getting the whole country fully vaccinated with a decent vaccine as a matter of extreme urgency.
When this objective is near completion then domestic and international tourism can be developed and jobs, incomes, lives rebuilt across all social classes.

Clearly they should just try a couple of other camera angles to show the social distancing.

Stating the blindingly obvious is a news item.
What next a breaking news scoop tourism is down 97% this year and corruption is endemic?

The kits that a minister announced should not be bought from online sources just a few weeks ago.
The current kits in Thailand at most pharmacies are made by Roche Switzerland.

Maybe it referred to him as being deeply concerned about the welfare of the people of Thailand.?
That would of course be disallowed for being utterly ludicrous.

100k for his family, 100k for coffee fund and he does the agreed jail time before a quiet out of the press pardon and release.
They would normally struggle to find their boot laces within a week let alone solve a murder in a few days.
Superb police work instills such confidence along with the Phuket governors request for locals to stop murdering tourists.

It was on all local TV channels last night, with extensive coverage.
Totally agree we know we cannot mention or have news articles on the elusive one, but since this is a news site, major events such as protests should take priority over daily nonsense government press statements or daft surveys questioning the demise of tourism in a world wide pandemic completely mis managed by the Junta.

COVID recoveries outnumber new cases in Thailand for second day running
Thats ok then! nothing to see here, open some more quicksand areas all tourists welcome, continue with the absolute minimum possible testing and daily statements about ordering vaccines, dont worry about covid deaths.... that frees up hospital beds.
Numbers will go down and back to normal well done Junta and the crew of retards at the helm.

"Children will be safer in Sandbox Schools than they would be at home".
How can being in a school with two or three thousand other kids possibly be safer than at home with a handful of family members.
Are all teachers going to be given a couple of Pfizers shot to protect them from the exposure and for westerners insurance cover from their employers to fully cover against covid.

Yes pointless bilge.
its a worldwide pandemic of course tourism is devastated.
Thailand is well behind in any recovery because of the lunatics running the country trying to ignore covid for well over a year with miniscule testing and a pretense that somehow Thailand was miraculously virus exempt because of mask wearing and temp guns at 7/11 s.

Didnt the minister also release a directive requesting that the locals stop murdering the tourists!
That should restore confidence!

What would be the standard drug treatment if you were in a Uk, American or european hospitals with the best doctors and no restraints on finances.

Why? a Pfizer booster jab to all front line medical staff should be an absolute priority against the Delta strain, guess the envelope filling conditions for Sinovac procurement didnt allow for returns.

from a slow start they have caught up with and overtaken the uk, which has a similair sized population, that truly is an excellent job as the uk was one of the most efficient vaccinators in the world. i'm sure we're going to see the international media reporting all about this stunning achievement in due course.
well done thailand.
