So incredibly anal about immigration, just make a police order under current circumstances everyone has an automatic 90 day extension on their permission to stay date in their passport and 90 day tm 30 nonsense also on hold for three months .....easy!!
No need to visit immigration at all for anyone, pressure off for immigration staff, huge relief for the stranded worried westerners................and the risk of spreading the virus is negated a little stopping hoards of travelling farangs and masses in the offices.
Publicly a great bit of PR for wing and a Prayut... it..would be seen as a sensible tolerant considerate policy.!!
Guess this is rather alien for Thailand.

Well done mr Prayuth! MAke them sweat and stressy and even sick there in the queue...in times like this it's important to show them who's boss...
On the other hand, there's a group of Thai in Germany right now cycling around in the villages while the germans all have to stay inside...they got special privileges...solly but i can't tell you more about this group of people since that's against the forumrules.
I believe Thai airways are indeed not suspending flights to Munich and Zurich.

According to a government directive, news link published here a week ago it was to be free for farangs, the ministers had signed off on the funds etc...............but the health service spokesperson said the funds hadnt arrived.
As a rule any private hospital will be a minimum 10k a night for room board, basic tests, a few minutes morning and night with a doc and nurse, saline drips, closing the curtains at night, maybe a few minor treatments .................anything major wrong oh lordy, plus if you have insurance its about 500baht every time you fart. ICU etc skys the limit
Try and break down the bill into some rational easy to understand format they will throw a tantrum if you have the audacity to go through it item for item.
For covid looking at 10- 20k perhaps just to start for tests before even being admitted.
This link a little help.

I will try the regular postal service, just so I can say at least I tried.
Let me know how it works out for you.
90 day report is the least of worries at the moment................simply dont do it.
When you go next time explain that you wanted to come to the office and report however you deemed it very important to protect yourself and the staff by wearing a face mask................but none were available to purchase so you didnt risk a visit and online was not working due to an internet overload.
All quite reasonable, smile Wai, and offer amused disbelief at any mention of a fine! job done.! stay safe.

First priority....... for wing and a Prayut Team Thailand.
BMW immigration smart car teams will now be issued with full Hazmat suits to catch the pesky overstayers who refused to risk infection at packed immigration offices.

Thereafter all who have benefited from this will have a specified period of time to leave the country or approach Immigration for Visa extension.
Anyone who has the contacts to suggest this solution should do so
Exactly, time for a certain site to grow some.....and make contact!

Foreigners forced to gather together in thousands for hours on end as Thai government refuses to lax their immigration laws.
Absolutely stupid bar stewards, just give everyone an automatic 3 month extension on their current permission to stay date.
No need to attend immigration just an accepted policy across the board, could simply close immigration.
Why are they so brain dead in an emergency situation.

Admitted a few weeks back their were people under investigation and was outraged by the press suggesting they were COVID positive.
StInking outrageous cover up and failure to close down the entertainment areas earlier because of greed and the real bosses in Phuket.
However the jetski scam was allowed to continue for so many years with everyone fully aware tourists were being ripped off for huge amounts...............but the envelopes floated up the gravy chain so nothing suprises me.

They may want to look no further than the numb nuts in charge of the this country who allowed the unrestricted entry of the Chinese to Thailand for far too long.

Private hospitals being opened up to the NHS to help with bed and staff shortages.
Team Thailand will of course be doing the same with so many private facilities nationwide especially the Bangkok hospital chain.

It won't be long until someone with the virus gets thrown into the Immigration detention center. That's a scary thought (for those unfortunate enough to be in there right now).
May have already happened ,are the prisoners given any daily health reviews, any illness will be simply under investigation and any deaths will be reported as something other than COVID for sure, such as, emphysema, syphilis, dengue, malaria etc etc as per the countrywide norm at the moment..

Praised for exporting a huge stockpile of facemasks so the general population cant easily buy any and failing to resolve the situation.
Praised for charging its own citizens for a Virus test and allowing private hospitals to price gouge.
Praised for the accurate fast and totally transparent release of Covid data.......5555
Praised for the unrestricted welcoming of the Chinese from day one of the virus outbreak.
Truly a magnificent effort offering great reassurance to the general populace.
Well done.

For the hundredth time of mentioning it.
How about starting with the simple tasks first, like making face masks and sanitizer gel available to buy at all pharmacies nationwide at normal prices!!!
Could the PM possibly manage that ......maybe he needs the weekend to think about it.
Divert the smart BMWS from the oh so important task of arresting farangs for heinous visa violations and use them as a rapid delivery fleet for the menial less important supply of essentials to your people.

If they want people to test who are not wealthy and possibly now losing salary and income from industry closures......then for the love of Buddha........
Make the tests and follow up treatment totally free of cost and freely available at as many hospitals nationwide as possible at least to their own citizens if not everybody.
To cover the costs, under the circumstances divert the funds from the military budgets.
The Chinese have already given Thailand a head start on the Corona virus they dont need their submarines.

This is false information.
While at Bumrungrad Hospital yesterday I inquired about the cost, procedure, waiting time for results. The cost is 10,000 BHT.
Stop spreading information about which you don't have the facts.

Of course it should be free thats what the universal health cover is all about and social security connected to a job and income tax.
6000 baht or even 3000 baht is a lot for a Thai to pay who earns 15k a month, that amount will often be the monthly food budget.
Kits should be purchased and distributed to be used freely at all hospitals nationwide.
However if Prayut cant arrange basic masks and sanitizer to be available at all pharmacies, i think countrywide free testing is sadly way beyond his military and ministerial logistical skills.
I have a bus trip tomorrow and still cant buy a mask! I,ll just have to make do wearing my girls thong and maybe use a tissue to cover my mouth and nose...

Any details on the 374 suspected victims?
Exactly!! how long does it take to get a test result for the 374....., no doubt the real figures are being monitored and slowly staggered in their release.
I honestly think Prayut is well aware of the actual numbers nationwide and that is why he looks so gaunt exhausted and stressed, tough being in charge at a time of real crisis...... probably the last military c@@p he will volunteer to be involved with.

I think the main point here is - does wearing a mask put you at more risk of infection - probably not
I agree, but with the government blaming farangs as the cause of the virus, if we take a bus or plane or the skytrain....or visit a clinic or hospital its more diplomatic to wear one, especially if the real nationwide figures and potential death count starts to be publicly shared we could be in for a great deal of resentment.

Soo ef@@@@ing tiresome, how about the bloody government supplying facemasks nationwide so every pharmacy and 7/11 has some we can buy......
The fleet of high powered smart BMWs could be used as an express delivery service, with a photo op for the driver outside each pharmacy he managed to re stock in a day.
What bl@@dy hope is their for them dealing with this crisis if they cant manage the simple task to procure and distribute masks and sanitizer throughout the country.....having previously arranged the export of millions with relative ease.

According to this article yesterday, the government have already signed off on free treatment for all farangs with testing and treatment for covid 19 with or without insurance etc..............
But the money has yet to appear!!
So much is lost in translation in this country.....

Anutin in hot water over remarks on medical personnel
in Thailand News
Posted
At the start of the outbreak hospital staff at a leading university teaching hospital were having to resort to public demonstration protests outside due to lack of basic masks for the medical staff.
Why? because millions had allegedly been procured and exported to turn a profit!... such an incredible attitude towards the medical staff and Thai citizens.
