Anyone thats been in Thailand for any length of time is under no illusion as to how things work here.......'Nuff said !

Travelled from the North to Rayong, 1200km round trip, not ONE checkpoint.

What I found interesting, though not surprising, according to something I was watching tonight, this isnt a recent event as people assume. This actually happened back on Aug 6th ! It was reported and because NOTHING was done the video was exposed to force the issue. How damning is that, that once again a cover up was happening, how many others have been hidden ? Ithink we all know the answer to that one.The murderer of course is long gone by now, cashed out and left over two weeks before the preverbial hit the fan.

The ONLY way to be a bit more certain of the future, is to get Thai Citizenship ! Health care is then no longer an issue and neither are visas permits etc. (Those being the main stumbling blocks/concerns for most).

With the ever shifting sands of Politics leadership etc, the changing of policies and regs on a whim of the latest apppointed "boss" the inconsistency from region to region and even by office. How can you possibly plan anything of any distance, you cant ! Throw in the mix the pandemic and you have a total "Lord knows" . Who new just 2 years ago we would be in a country decimated by the regime and the pandemic. The immigration could change and any regs you think you have planned for are obsolete. Hypothetically, Retirement changes to 2m , compulsory health care, any or all would mean hasta la vista to large portion of the expats, or a thriving business for agents depending on your viewpoint. "What if" is just a crazy game of speculation, the best you can plan for is the next 12 months and anything beyond that, roll the dice, and anyone who has spent anytime in Thailand would know this and probably has the T-shirt too. Guessing, frankly, quite pointless IMHO

If you live in the land of "what if" you"ll go crazy and might just aswell hide under your bed in farangland. Thailand IS NOT the place for you based on the above. Just an opinion.

Probably a combination of things, ongoing treatment, so they know you, you have a pink card so you are long stay, being a farang less likely to be an issue for payment. Add all that together and not a high risk for them, I would suggest.

Having seen the video, its pretty horrific and frankly its of the type that if told about what took place you probably wouldnt believe it ! Sick and disgusting behavior by the participants.

Speak to DHL head office Bangkok 02 345 5000 (24hrs) You may have more success. Explain you need a "return waybill" to put inside your item when sent.

Your word against hers, forget it, learn from it, move on.
