  1. I've been connected to the internet since '86.... before the WWW existed. In those early days sharing on the internet took place through mailing lists and Usenet. Learning curves for new technologies got squashed by like minded people sharing experiences. Thankfully during the early years the idiocracy were not the type of people that instinctively learn and share information. I rue the day that they figured it out.
  2. You've absolutely correctly nailed about 10% of the requirements of a valid randomized trial. Sit down and think (or read) quite a bit more and you might get a passing grade.
  3. We're all members of Smokey The Bear's fire fighting squad. We see a spark we gotta stomp on it.
  4. you must be a shill for the banking/transfer companies..... LOL The figures don't lie... the figures I gave are the net Bhat you will receive after all fees deducted except in the case of a Thai bank who will deduct .25% up to a max of 500 Baht.... I don't really give a hoot what you think or do.... I just have to laugh at your intransigence.
  5. OK.... your kids still benefited from vaccines. Living in a vaccinated world those refuseniks still reap most of the benefits of vaccination without lifting a finger or sharing the burden of doing so. LOL.... some are completely hopeless about the shared benefits and almost break their own arms patting themselves on the back.
  6. All kids should be everybody's kids.... There's still time for you to join the human race.
  7. You've being very disingenuous regarding the cases of Vaccine-associated paralytic polio (VAPP). It occurs very, very rarely. The statistics say about 1 person per 2.7 million doses of OPV. VAPP is not transmissible so your comment saying there have been outbreaks is nonsensical. Outbreaks are caused only by transmission to previously uninfected persons. I don't know if the frequency of VAPP quoted above has yet taken into account the change from trivalent OPV to bivalent OPV. That change reduces the frequency of VAPP by 86%. Trivalent OPV is no longer required because Type 2 Polio has not been found since 1999.
  8. Thanks for mentioning that title. I took a look at the Wiki page and I'm definitely going to read it.
  9. For sure most of the 'laugh' emojis are referring to the creator not the content.
  10. Hey.... I don't get your drift....I'm on your side.... not deflecting anything. I did not understand your objection to my use of solidify.
  11. If you read my post carefully, you'll see that the word 'solidify' was associated with 'approach to learning' not to 'thinking' since I did not use that word at all.
  12. Indeed... this is the main benefit of college/university. I think it takes years to really solidify your approach to learning and sharpen your ability to extract the signal from the noise.
  13. Here's a more detailed look at where Latin is used: 1. Vatican City: 2. Scientific Nomenclature: 3. Law: 4. Military: 5. Academia:
  14. Shirley you must be good at something.... it sure ain't logic, science, statistics and medicine. Maybe stick to politics and religion where nonsense is perhaps less obvious.
  15. You insist on showing how poorly you read. I never claimed your orange idol said anything about an Israel/Iran war. I gladly ignore or sometimes laugh at what Trump says... I never quote him except when his ignorance is blatantly harmful to the USA. It's time to learn a little Latin so that when someone uses it you'll understand. Your post is a complete non sequitur ..... research THAT!
  16. IF you ever get a severely infected appendix, go ahead... wait it out.... and die when it bursts. But... I am certain the extreme pain will force you to seek a Dr.'s advice which of course will involve an intrusion via scalpel into your abdomen. All it takes is blockage of the exit from the extra and useless little pocket of your intestine called the appendix. About 5-10% of the population have that problem. It most frequently occurs in teenage males. Since it involves infection it would be classified as disease.
  17. This statement, despite very serious competition, is a top contender for most unfounded comment.
  18. It seems you believe your tips have actual value. Go ahead... deny all evidence contrary to your opinion. I hope you're the only one harmed by your unwillingness to learn. I love the smell of surrender early in the morning.... almost as good as coffee!
  19. you could probably say... "I've never seen evidence that your post is true" and be correct. But, since you have not seen much less understood ALL evidence, you cannot claim there is none.... obvious serious logic error, that one. Or... do you really claim to have seen and understood ALL evidence? That would mean we are in the presence of a god like spirit. I'd be so happy to wager on the NO side of that being true.
  20. It's very common for personality traits to closely correlate to their chosen profession. It may be that chiropractors tend to overestimate the breadth and applicability of their knowledge and consequently stray out of their lane. Wikipedia's definition of chiropractic medicine describes it as based on pseudoscience. That may be a bit harsh. You'll find a lot of chiropractors on YTube making videos on subjects that are in areas of knowledge that are outside of what they normally study.
  21. I think so... probably from today as Trump just about cried while looking at all the empty seats at his birthday party.
  22. Not bad... a good attempt. You are slowly but surely gaining on the leader (?) in the race to the bottom.
  23. I do have one Persian friend.....is that what you are talking about? I met him playing poker in Vegas. He played poker badly but happily because he could easily afford his mistakes. I doubt he wants to build a nuke. 😉
