  1. LOL.... even the die hard MAGAn's know there is only 2 years before they're emasculated.
  2. The normal relationship between the general population and a gang of thugs is...????
  3. I'm not convinced that any world news agencies were wasting money having reporters outside your doorstep just waiting for your pronouncement on Zelensky's future.
  4. I was in a similar situation prior to my last extension. The difference was that I was using an 'income letter' rather than actual transfers. Due to the strong Thai ฿ and an erroneus reduction in my pension, I fell below the 65K benchmark. I was lucky as I also qualified for a marriage extension which was my backup plan. I had the extra documentation for that method prepared as well. My income was only about 2500 ฿ short of the 65K/month. I decided that I would ask CM Immigration if they would accept my ~100K ฿ bank balance together with the income letter for an extension. They did but asked for a 12 month bank statement instead of the 3 month version I had already prepared. Now there's a good news/bad news situation. They fixed my pension amount but Canada no longer provides the income letter. The slackers at the Embassy/Consulate aren't getting my 1250 ฿ for the letter any more. 555
  5. I switched careers away from IT in 1995 so in terms of early access to new technology.... I had none. GV wasn't available to me until it was opened up to all gmail account holders without an invitation.
  6. I currently still have my US based Schwab account. When I shop for a CD I do see some that are unavailable to foreign residents. Probably that restriction is enforced by the CD issuers.
  7. I agree that the posts you accuse of 'scaring' people are less scary than yours.
  8. Call the Bangkok bank support line (1333). You will be able to speak with a representative in English. The staff there are much more informed than a lot of the branches. If you get pushback at a branch tell them you've called their support line and confirmed that what you wish is possible. Ask them to call their support line. To facilitate my conversation with Thai employees I often prepare notes in English that I then translate to Thai with a good quality translation website (Voilà is one). Keep your English sentences simple as best you can.
  9. It wasn't easy to find the brand of the authenticator I use. I use the Google authenticator in the form of a Chrome extension. That extension does work in my Brave browser.
  10. I do have one financial institution that would not send SMS to my GV number. I can no longer remember which company refused(SMS never arrived) my GV number. It happened a couple of years ago and since I then I've used my UM sim for several institutions. GV does work fine in most cases. I have also heard that if you ported a previous mobile number to GV that subsequently it is still viewed as a legitimate US based mobile number.
  11. I am not 100% certain but I don't think the authenticator MUST be on your phone. The LOGIN.gov website uses an authenticator that I've installed on my desktop browser. More info here: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/glossary/authenticator-app/
  12. But... there are a few US financial institutions that will not send 2FA to it. I do love my GV, though. I've had it almost from the day it was first publicly available. I just checked... signed up June 15, 2010.
  13. Or if you want an actual US based mobile number, buy an UltraMobile Pay/Go sim on eBay (~15$). Have a US based friend put it in a phone and connect to the T-mobile network to initialize the sim. Have your US accomplice mail the sim to you in Thailand. Configure your UltraMobile sim to use WiFi only for SMS and calls .... and Bob's your uncle. I use a iPhone with esim capability. My Thai service is on the esim and the UM uses the sim slot. When I call someone the iPhone automatically uses the sim that was used during the last connection to the same contact. You can also specify in your contact list which sim to use for each contact. The UM service costs about $3.18 per month if you do not exceed 100 minutes or SMS using WiFi connection.
  14. but... significantly less stupid than your post. The OP is seeking facts, not opinions.
  15. If you were able to change your receiving account online, that means you are using the ACH method through NY office of Bangkok bank. Bangkok bank policy is to receive SSA benefits via ACH only into the restricted accounts. That is why your access to your BBK account was changed.
  16. Or the product of a paralyzed brain propelled by propaganda
  17. I think Bangkok bank is trying to influence you to use their original method for receiving your SS benefits as a Direct Deposit. What the bank employee told you is the rules for that old method. That method involves Bangkok bank's NY office receiving the funds via an ACH in IAT format from SSA. Then the bank subtracts their fee, exchanges US$ to Thai ฿ using the bank's TT rate and sends the result to the special savings account in Thailand. SSA has since established IDD (International Direct Deposit) which uses SWIFT to transfer directly to almost any bank in Thailand and then to your normal savings account. This method uses the TT exchange rate as above but the fees are structured differently. @Pib calculated which of the two methods is best depending on the amount of your benefit. Sorry, but I don't remember the details since I don't use either method. I don't believe you need to contact Bangkok bank at all if you wish to use IDD.
  18. yeah... we're so much better off to have a siloed non-professional guiding us poor AN citizens about communicable diseases... LOL ... and all for free !!!!
  19. So.... why don't you donate some money to research to find a 'vaccine' against speeding, DUI, road rage, stupidity, impatience, helmet aversion?
  20. Bitchute should have a warning attached: Boil before thinking "About a third of prominent accounts on BitChute have been banned or demonetized on other social media sites – the highest percentage among the seven sites studied by the Center. As of June 2022, 35% of prominent accounts on the site had been permanently banned, suspended or demonetized on other social media sites. This was higher than the site with the second-highest share, Rumble (22%), and the other sites studied."
  21. And when a specific individual suffering from this set of symptoms travels to another community, somehow that 'toxicity' now occurs in the new community? LOL
  22. The age of most measles fatalities is under 5 years old. Are you older than 5?
  23. Last year I set up LOGIN.GOV for the wife and ID.me for myself. We've been using those methods for over a year now. LOGIN.GOV is easier to use. A couple of days ago I noticed that SSA.GOV still offered the option to Sign in with Social Security Username. I tried it and it still works. Since it's a much simpler and faster method I'l continue with it rather than the convoluted ID.me process.
  24. I can tell you really struggled for that catchy comeback.
