Life regrets
There's some people I should have treated better + some sound advice I should have paid more sincere attention to.... However, that's water under the bridge.....Under reflection I'm less headstrong now & unlikely to to repeat the mistakes of the past...

Don't take it for granted.
I had a bycycle misshap last we that left me flat on my back in a big oil spot on the street. My first thought was - that was fast! Took a hit on my shoulders, left elbow, & left hip/butt area.... Broke the fall with my elbow which was gouged by the concrete street..... A little stiff for about a week.... I managed to get home, change shirts, and attend to the 10-Baht sized wound without my 3 girls seeing me.... I felt like I did after playing tackle football into my 40's.... Fortunately, none of the afternoon walker/joggers/bikers saw me.... I'm 78.... I do bike, home gym, & dog walk every day....

Bread flour in Chiang Mai
Part of my family is French.. I still remember the aroma in the mornings at my Grandma's kitchen... Home-made sourdough toast slathered with (maybe homemade) peanut butterthat she dipped into a big wide cup of coffee..... She & my Grandpa owned and operated the only french bakery in Los Gatos, CA..... My Dad grew up delivering loaves of bread by bicycle.... Ah - bread memories... She could cook anything in that simple kitchen.....

Bread flour in Chiang Mai
Has anybody run into this? I've had 2 bread machines....Both - between year 2 & 3 quit producing good bread..... Ingredients checked ok + then replaced outright just to check - same cycles used as when productive.... Yet the bread won't rise.... One good loaf in 11 attempts where it used to be a 90-95% success rate.... It's almost like they lost their programming..... Buying local bread is like trying to chew on a mouthful of tasteless mush.....

Using a Thai Bank ATM Card Outside Thailand
I have a SCB & BBB....Both worked flawlessly in the US & on flight stopovers.... I also have an SCB prepaid card thinking I might need it, but didn't..... One time I tried a local community bank ATM that didn't - but it also didn't work for my Bank of America card, so I fault the bank on that..... I went into that bank wanting to break a 100$ bill - they wouldn't because I was not their account holder/client.... So, I went to 3 other banks until one did....

One for our American friends.
1 car length for every 10 MPH.... Tailgating is a cause for a high percentage of accidents.... Road/weather conditions also play into the equation..... I've read that tailgaters can also get mesmerized by following a vehicle too close and lose situational awareness, semi asleep at the wheel....

In praise of a good Thai wife
Together & married many years.... We are together 24/7, 95% of the time..... Always cheerful, positive, hard working, frugal, caring, sharing, and up beat.... Pushing 50, she's gained weight.... That's about the only "bad" thing I can cite.... So, after all these years I really can't name any major faults.... Maybe - she sees value in preserving/saving almost every thing...In house recycling - some is very innovative....

So far it hasn't happened, but I have caught 3 trying..... I usually button the pockets....If in someplace rife with them I have some Columbia pants that have double pockets with inner zipped security pockets.... Still more secure than an easy to spot, snatch & run man purse....- Man bags
