Thailand's Election Commission Probes Pitha's ITV Shares
couchpotato replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
After today's revelations of the EC and possibly the Constitutional Court examining the 'Share Holding', and Sretta and Anutin accidentally bumping into each other in the UK (haha) my prediction is this. Pita unfortunately will suffer the same fate as Thanatorn. Pheu Thai, Bhumjaithai, a few smaller parties (and possibly Prawits party) will form a government. With Sretta, Anutin, Paetong all registered PM candidates, the Senate will find one of them acceptable. Then sadly MFP will be pushed to the opposition back benches and be forgotten. Also peoples voices will react, but sadly after a short while TH goes back to the status quo. (Can't predict the fate of Prayut's future and Thaksin's possible homecoming at this time). -
Absolutely crazy to leave yourself without a passport for that length of time. Enuff said....????

As I said just a rubber grommet not too high/thick. but rubber washers is also basically the same....so either way a good starting point. From your picture, the unit is just sitting on the frame, as is normal. What I meant was fixed braces (of some type) on the upper portion of the unit and the house wall, which would keep the unit stable. As for you doing the work yourself, that's your call, and if you think its beyond your capabilities then get the guys that installed it to come and do it for you. Looks like they did a good job, but not professional if they left out the rubber mounts on the frame. They should fix it for free.

Rubber grommets will help the vibration, but the humming is coming from the compressor, and I presume an inverter type aircon, and this probably cannot be fixed. Many inverter units, of various manufacturers make a humming noise. As for the rubber grommets. Don't buy them too big in height, then cut them, so they will open up and slide in around the bolt. Just loosen the bolts/nuts enough to accommodate this. Should help. Also might try putting 2-3 braces between the unit and the house wall, so the unit cannot move, which might also help stop the vibration. Good luck..

Good you got an answer, but be aware that what IMM says on the phone could be entirely different with an IO at the border. -

If you are going to do that, then why open a thread on this. You have many answers with basically the same information on what you need to do..so be grateful for the help. -
Son with thai and EU passport??
couchpotato replied to beammeup's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Untrue---Thai citizen with dual nationality can enter/exit on their foreign passport if they so desire, but of course will be under the same visa/entry restrictions as a foreigner. -

He must exit on the EU passport, as that is what he entered on. Importantly if he doesn't exit on the EU passport, he will eventually be on overstay (as he entered as a foreigner, not as a Thai). After exiting on the EU passport, he can re-enter on his Thai passport at any time. -

Yep definitely a Time Traveller. A 'swooshbuckler'. -
After a certain period of time (about a month I think), individual transactions are consolidated when you update your bankbook. If you need itemised transactions for this period, you must ask the bank to print out for you. It has always been this way. (eg: if someone needed their book with every transaction recorded for an immigration extension, then they would need to update every 2 weeks or so).

Small shop in Tepprasit, coming from Sukhumvit it is about 100m down on the right hand side from the PTT station. Been there for years, have what you need.

By not having your old passport, you forfeited your re-entry permit (so entirely your fault), so having to go through the process from scratch again is 100% correct. What he charged you is between you and him, and if you didn't agree with it, you should have gone to another agent, or done it yourself.

Coincidental only....The 50k one time transfer limit or 200k daily limit (without verification) is only transfers out for Thai banks, which along with other measures (possibly coming later in the year) has been recently enacted to try to nullify scammers. Nothing to do with overseas inward transfers.

Story Of My Thai Citizenship Application
couchpotato replied to dbrenn's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It has in the past. And as the new Govt will not start to govern for about 3 mths. I'm sure there will be delays for non-priority issues. -
It wasn't obvious to him, otherwise he wouldn't have asked the question. Read the OP's original post.
