I know, but there is a huge difference between the regular gasohol 91 (THB 36.00), gasohol 95 (THB 37.70) and gasohol 95 -E85 (THB 21.98)

You may try it at Boy Air and Sound.
Driving from Pattaya towards SriRacha along Sukhumvit.
Pass the intersection with Crocodile Farm Road, pass Banglamung Policestation and pass the traffic lights near FN Factory Outlet.
Take the first U-turn after the traffic-lights and approx. 300 meters on your left is B.A. & S. (opposite FN Factory Outlet and 100 meters before Isuzu-showroom).
BTW; it's one of the reasons that I'll never buy a built in GPS.

Uhm, aren't they about to start the extension of Beach Road (2 lanes to 3 lanes) as planned some 4 months ago?
-
Ordered a new car which will run on gasohol 95 - E85.
I know this fuel is for sale at this gas-station along North Pattaya Road.
Does anyone know more points of sale in the Chonburi - SriRacha - Pattaya area?

I've nitro...whatever in my tires.
ACT did it and they told me, that it is safer and the pressure stays more or less constant.
I think that it's more important to give the tires the right pressure, rather than blowing them up until the compressor stops.

IMHO some immigration-offices are acting out of their box.
First of all, immigration-officers are NOT qualified to take any test, neither are they qualified to judge whether you did or did not attend any class.
The only one who is allowed to take care of those matters is the Ministry of Education and the school will do that for them.
An important document, needed for extending your ED-visa, is coming from the MoE stating that you're attending the classes, what course and at what school. The school has to report to the MoE regarding students, their attendance, their progress, etc.
Immigration actions such as checking attendance and progress are pure on getting some tea money.

I will Vote for the Honda Civic since the factory is in Thailand.
All of the other cars in discussion here are built in the region, so don't really understand that comment.
You will not regret for the new Civic. This article says all of it:
That articled seemed a bit too one-sided for my liking.
Beneath a picture of the rear end of the Civic - which has to be one of the most uninspiring and bland design efforts in its class - they say "everyone was vowed after seeing this car at the motor show". Assume they mean "wowed". Really? Can't imagine how anyone besides a member of the Honda marketing team could possibly be "wowed" by this.
Have to copy the rear-part.
It looks like the rear of an Accord from 2003-2004 or maybe older.
But hey, I don't have to look at it!
Ordered my Civic yesterday, will be delivered in 2 weeks.

uhm.........I see that you already know what should be done. That was the job of the ID.
I think that you're looking for an interior-decorator (read: painter, handyman).
-
The only thing you may assume, is that none of the readers do know the answer or take the effort to answer.
AFAIK there is tax to be paid on the profit (if any) at a house-sale. The amount depends on the ownership......whether it's a company or a private-person.

Not really. He seemed psyched about the chili. Many people feel the US fast food chains here use Thai beef so even though it's marketed as a US food product, it's not. OK, in the US you probably get Brazilian beef but that's another matter. I would think for that price for a small burger, you'd expect better beef. So I'm still asking. Was the beef atrocious or horrible?
I think the word Yum in the first line of the OP kinda gives you a clue
Instead of posting 102 questions about the quality of the napkins and whether the toilets are clean, why don't you take your silly ass to Central and find out for yourself?
Now you know how people come to almost 35,000 posts

How one can recognize a "regular school" from "irregular" one pls?
Depends what you mean by 'regular' or 'irregular'
It is common knowledge in the Thai language schools circle - which schools are used if you are not that interested in learning Thai and those who are serious about giving you a good educational return for your 25,000 baht.
A trawl through the Thai language forum will make it clear - for sure !
A regular or accredited educational institute shows this on their website and the school-registration is on a wall in the school:

If you've had so much work done so perfectly why not ask those contractors to do it or recommend someone, rather than a public forum.
My own experience of work here comes from scores of contractors with circa 40m baht spend. Perhaps our expectations of what constitutes a good job differ
In answer to you Op, 3k paint and 6k labour should cover it, so 12k is reasonable, if they do a good job
If they don't show up with proper tools, plenty of dustsheets and spend anything less than three to four man days on prep I'd send them in their way.
3-4 days just to prepare?
I guess you don't know what a man day is? Moving furniture, sanding, taping, removing hardware, etc.; 3-4 man days easy depending on the complexity.
Correct. Some people think that it only takes a new lick of paint to improve their living-quarters.
Repair cracks, sanding down, sometimes even new plaster-work, moving furniture, cover up areas with plastic, masking areas and that's all BEFORE any lick of paint has touched the wall.
The biggest problem and time-consumer are ceilings. A real pain. Especially in older houses. Most of the time the ceiling needs a lot of repairs (old wet-spots from leaking).
Preparation of a 72m2 furnished condo takes approx. 2 days in total.
Total time with 2 people is approx. 5 days.

Why is a guy with 400,000Bt riding the bus and staying at the Sawadee I wonder?
Maybe he brought it as a down-payment on his new condo at the Heights.
If he didn't use the bus and his stays in hotels, such as Sawasdee, in the past he wouldn't have had THB 400,000. I guess.

I'm looking around too.
Went to Honda Pattaya last Saturday.
The stock of cars (mainly City's, Civics and Brio's) is huge but obviously, they're all sold.
Delivery times for a Civic is estimated to 2-3 months.
The only car that was available was a Freed.
The thing that amazed me in the new Civic was the dash-board...........jeezzzz..........what was that with "Paradise by the Dashboard-light"? It was as if the dashboard was designed by the Nintendo R&D-department.

I tend to think that someone who has managed to earn 3 million dollars by the time they are in their early thirties would then be aiming for the next three and onwards. Either that or they'd have the financial nous to invest it and let the money work for them.
I think that the guy of the USD 3 million-post, did receive an email stating that he won the UK Lottery.
He was just looking around for a good place to spend it.

How soon and how would immigration find out? He just renewed less than two months ago,
Probably Immigration will find out during your next visit for an extension of stay where your friend has to present his wife or at least the marriage papers.
Of course, the consequences of a discovery of "fraud" will be heavier.

Avoid Helsinki embassy. They are strict.. Ed-visas only for university students.
Can copy that partly.
A student once applied for an ED-visa in Helsinki.
It cost us a lot of persuasion by mails and phone-calls to get him the visa from Helsinki.

What I usually do with people who I pick up:
I wait at the entrance of long term parking and wait for a call from the travelers, that they claimed their baggage,
I tell them to walk to door 3 and wait outside.
By the time they walk out door 3 I arrive.
This action is not performed to save parking-fees, but the parking on its self is a disaster.

Yes, 2 or 2.5k per month maximum if MEA charges you.
-
It's a bit weird that people are being identified by a number on a car.
That would only be good to identify the car, and presume that the driver may be the culprit.
A lot more of identification has to be done, on a person.
-
It's pretty simple.
The visa (stamped in your passport) is a multiple entry and somewhere is probably printed: "Enter Thailand before 12-09-2012" (maybe in other words, but with same meaning).
Since every entry gives you 90 days..................
-
A long as my visa is called "non-immigrant" and as long as I have to ask on a yearly base to stay for another year............I will not integrate.
I know.......a cheap excuse from someone who is either too lazy or too stupid to integrate, but it's an excuse I can live with.

In the West we do have different "grades" in inter-human relations:
- someone you know
- an acquaintance
- a friend
- a best-friend
- girl-friend/boy-friend
- fiancee
- husband/wife
In Thailand there are only 2 grades:
- puan (that's someone you vaguely know) up to
- fan (boyfriend/girlfriend or even husband/wife).
Probably there are more "grades" in Thai language, but those are the most used expressions.
That's the lingual difference.
Emotionally, a friend for me is someone I can trust, I regularly meet, I have good times with.
For a Thai, a friend is someone they met once. In a lot of cases, the name of the "friend" is unknown.

Has any parnoid person told you he is gonna get you yet ?
not sure what parnoid means, has anyone ever told you to learn English?
Either that or you're just some wise guy wrongly thinking you are making a witty comment which actually makes no sense in relation to this post.
Short version; a corrupt cop tried to steal from me today and I complained to his superiors - does that make it easier for your brain to process?
Deaw, if your English is that good, you may know from the context that he meant "paranoid or paranoia". Is it really necessary to point people on their possible lack of proper English or is this a native English speaker forum?
Gasohol 95 - E85
in Pattaya
Posted
Don't worry.....reading the replies here it's almost impossible to get it.
As told, the only pump in Pattaya is along North Pattaya Road and maybe there is another one near Ang Sila.
I guess that if you ask for Gasohol 91 or 95 you will get the 90:10 mix (fuel:ethanol)
