Thai submarine to be powered by Chinese engine following German withdrawal
h90 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
yes if it finds that hole.....big parts are in the 30meter range.....it might sense with the islands.....but some very high up had doubts in the birthday speech years ago. -
I don't have the dates of the war against drugs in my head......but half had no connections and I heard in Nakhon Si Thammerat every night some shots. And keep in mind at this time Kratom and Marijuana were still drugs. Well I have seen myself truck bullhorning 300 Baht per vote.... And on this election, I have no first hand experience and I don't know which party did it (or if all did it) but lots of reports even here about family members who got 1000 baht (seems there is inflation) or who didn't and were angry because the neighbor got it.... Wife remembers many decades ago they bribe the people with flip flops....got only one side and the other only if the village voted the right party.... And imagine the money to pay at least some area 300 or 1000 Baht per vote. That are huge amounts that all must earned with corruption.

I have seen the boats that patrol the marine park in Chumphon....they were hard wired.....with satellite dish on the land, etc....they didn't move for years....but I am sure in the books they still consume a lot diesel.....And I guess the staff has all diesel cars -
Read Thaksin up....he got rich with his pager service than mobile and satellite...he was the newcomer. Democrats were supported by the old families with the pretty WEF boy Abhisit. MFP is the Thai Summit clan.... Google Thai Prime Ministers. Take name by name down the history and google them and their families and connections. You can also google the influence of CP, the alcohol families, the bank families, something I better not name and their networks Thaksin was the new rich outsider and too greedy....wanted to much without sharing It is one big club, fighting for dominance and hard working middle class Somchai is not member of this club. And ALL of them visit the World Economic Forum and discuss the future there.....without any democratic input. That why it makes little difference if it is a military dictator, Thaksin, MF, Democrats or whoever....
-
yes he got dictator by other means.....looks more nice....but with his 3000 deaths at the war against narcotics he is nothing better than Prayut with his war against covid. Stealing way more money that Prayut...but hey he was elected (if we ignore the full scale vote buying + buying of complete parties, with money he gained from corruption ....but that is still more democratic as tanks)

Than they really pay no or almost no tax...specially if the booze and cigarettes are also creative sourced. -

The pay a 7% on everything 7/11 has..and if they buy there a beer or cigarettes it is >50% tax on food hurts the poor mostly. But they also pay tax in their mobile phone, on the mobile phone fees, on the gasoline, on the TV they buy..... If I remember correct medicine and books have no VAT in Thailand -
Pita not worried over EC submitting iTV share case to Charter Court

BP is a military newspaper Of course you can sell shares that are not listed.....if his relatives gives him 40.000 what they are approx. worth than it is a selling. And not forget before he sold his share, he told they aren't his shares and before he reported them as his shares. (That he honestly reported the shares years ago and no one had a problem with them pretty much makes the case that they are no problem. The intention of the law is that no Thaksin or Berlusconi can abuse their media empire, what is clearly not the case with iTV. But no idea how the law is exactly. Killing his premiership with this would not look good. ) -
Pita Sees Non-Coalition MPs, Senators Being Swayed By Voters’ Consensus

I would think they get less, because they did many things their votes may not like. But hard to tell, I could be wrong with that. -

he has by far the most votes in the election, but he has no majority. So it is all a question of negotiations. If he get PM, as much as I would not want to see that, it would be complete democratic and right. If there is a other coalition it would be also democratic. I think he is the wrong way for Thailand....but he got most votes, that can't be ignored. -
Interesting...do I understand 376 votes are needed....if say some Democrat is on sick leave (or hiding in the toilet (another country)) (to avoid taking side) it is equal to a no vote? Or lets say 1 MFP MP is really sick than they still need 376 and not 375, right? Would mean there is no "abstain" as an abstain is equal to no....Interesting....don't know what I should think about that.

he had the shares in his name...he reported the shares previously and than he sold the shares.... Google is your friend...key in Pita has sold iTV shares.... Brings you to a BKK post article how he sold the shares......you have to be owner to sell your shares.... -

Thailand had an election if you remember and MFP did not get an overwhelming majority of Thai people to vote for them...just a 28% with several groups almost as strong....some very opposed....not a consensus. A consensus is a general agreement. Which is not the case here. -
you just have no argument.....Thailand is doing very well in compare with other similar countries.

which one IN THE REGION? Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Vietnam.....we could argue about Malaysia with the oil But from the real close one that are similar Laos, Myanmar or Cambodia?

he was the owner, he lied several times But the shares are not significant and the company basically did not do any work anymore...so the ownership is a nothingburger unless the law is extreme strict which could be. -

yes the opinion of MFP supporter in their twitter bubble.....not opinion of Thailands population -
I agree with the poor IQ soldiers....but replacing them with some corrupt Oligarchs who never worked anything is not a big improvement. Might be slightly better (as the soldiers are also corrupt and never worked something), but can't see a huge difference. And if Somchai the farmer, even if he went to University (yes such exist) would be the smartest he would never ever even get Governor of the smallest state. It is the military mafia against the oligarchs
-
OK, I speak about the most developed in the Region....you find one city state pretty far away that does better. OK...Singapore is a country and better developed...if that is the only thing you can find it actually supports my claim that Thailand is doing very well. I guess if you take only downtown Bangkok it would not be much off Singapore.

yes the MF has a consensus between themself.....but not between the Thai people because already next to them the PTP is trying to undermine that and the opposition of course has a complete other opinion. The senators most probably not agree as well. So that is not a consensus.... -

voter consensus? a voter consensus is like 70/80/90 % they got 28% of the voter 62% voted for other parties.... by no mean that is any consensus 14 Million vote for MF 13 Million did not vote 10 Million vote PTP 4.5 Million voted UTNP 2 Million voted no/blank/invalid That is a complete non consensus, actually people who don't vote, no vote, blank, invalid....mean they don't want any party would have won
