After thinking about it, I think it is a nothingburger. You can't spend 19 trillion very fast and before the new government is in power and there must be some approval process as well. So I think it is just propaganda...he says everyone get free money and 3 times per year will be christmas and than the new government must say no to the nonsense and is the bad guy....

Well we are mocking Asian food all the time in the west.... And Chinese loves it when the come to Bavaria...Pork leg with beer, pork with breadcrumbs etc.....One supplier, not a friend who visit a other customer in Germany wrote me every day an email with his food experiences and tips in German what he can try/order next time. And sadly MacDonalds and Coke also exists in China...

I order only COD, if I can. But it is not a religion to me....If with card is significant cheaper I order with card. Recently I had some claims on COD purchases (I needed old style light bulbs for some strange reason and got lot of rubbish......who would think that there are people who open up brand name lights and refurbish them with a new bottom??). And got the money back without any problems.

Be aware of a trick with COD. You order at some time the order changed to "packed" but who check their orders all the time Delivery comes...you pay the exact amount...but you don't bother to check the sender...heck it is the amount you expect Some rubbish inside You look lazada or shopee....you package is still not sent. You contact Lazada...they can't help you as they didn't send something (Shopee actually told me the exact way how to report it to the police, how to find the sender from Kerry and sold me if Kerry or anyone makes problems they help out and will pressure Kerry to hand out the real sender) Shop is removed a day later Don't know if it is understandable...the seller send outside of the shipping platform thinking the the customer isn't checking carefully.....

We had a Myanmar staff, who worked before in a construction company where we know the owner. He had the paperwork OK with immigration....no doggy fees. If everything correct all is good. Only thing I noticed for his work permit with the medical certificate the overcharged him most probably. But not like crazy. Not enough to make a drama out of it.

How many decades did the government need to figure that out?

It is a bit small but for me looks like being first flat with the junta, than huge increase with covid and now falling with the junta. What the government did during Covid was really bad....but pretty much every government was bad, beside some weird countries like Belarus, Tanzania (had lots of tourists as it was one of the few open countries), maybe Sweden. But I am not sure...would need to put vertical lines with the governments to be sure. I also see some big increase during Thaksin times.

Lost money....if you take out cheap pipeline gas, maybe oil....gas get more expensive, transportation of goods get more expensive, electric get more expensive, fertilizer get more expensive. On the other hand Thailand is exporting things to Myanmar which is cost. Everyone looses money....pick a number...Many years ago it was a big amount of gas that Thailand bought for electric generation. I don't know if that is still the case or if that has changed. Last time (longer ago) I was in Ranong, there were lots of tourists from Myanmar as they begin to have more money they also become tourists. That money would be lost.

I am sure Chinese and Russian companies are there as well making money that the West is loosing.

You could ask Thai people if they want to pay in 500 Baht every month with the target that Myanmar people get 500 Baht less every month. But it will make the Myanmar military upset and you are on the moral high ground. For me that is complete pointless.

That is not true.....most people around me are not vaccinated. 2 never got it, all other got it once, or most probably got it (wife and me didn't test...it fits the description but could have been something else). But everyone I know who is not vaccinated got it only once. Not enough people to be a statistic about getting it again. And no one including me 80+ year old parents needed a doctor...For all the people who think the have only little symptoms because of the vaccine....no one had much unvaccinated as well. So unvaccinated almost never get Covid is wrong...almost everyone here got it.

They promise me to send the money back??? Send me 3 Millions, later I send you the money back??? that makes no sense at all Something must be missing here....Has the guy still money? If there is smuggling on food imports the correct way is not have better customs checks. It is to review the import regulations and duty...there must be something very wrong when people start to smuggle onion like narcotics...

I would not trust any bank guarantee if there is some big collapse. If the money is on the bank but you can't exchange it and the THB devalues rapid you still loose.

No it is their internal affairs....Would you accept if China put pressure on Thailand to implement their style of civil society? That are military families battling for power...one more close to China, one more democratic but close to USA. Thailand should keep their fingers out of it. Not taking any side in the greater China/USA conflict. And in case of how the treat minorities they are both bad

yes you are right, it is not the custom...but still we have to pay it. Just now I get a bigger shipment D/O + Local charges: 2788.8...that has something to do with the way seafreight works...no escape from that Customs Clearing 2500 Baht...shipping company charges that..not custom...2500 is a bit expensive, but bad clearing can result in much bigger problems (clearing with Form E and seller who doesn't know the process is something you need an agent who knows what he does). Actually a lot considering that the seafreight itself is only 325 Baht ($8 per cbm) VAT is 12500 on it. So the handling of the documents + clearing is a big part of the total costs.

The debt is a little problem as long as the rates are close to zero....But that is changing...
