  1. Poor guy had it rough. Success at 25, million bucks a week. He was making the rounds of talk shows not long ago pushing a book. I'm watching him tell of his stupid druggie stunts wondering "who thought this is interesting enough to put on a TV show?"
  2. Poor family! Will Melania have to go back to work?
  3. How long will he last as Speaker? My guess is out by year's end or early January. Let's see what happens with the budget; on the bright side, the GOP's long-touted farce about not spending sacred taxpayer money may finally be exposed and come to a head, like the ugly pus-wart that it is.
  4. I didn't know there was a place that catered to livestock fetishes preferences.
  5. He's going to say whatever he needs to survive. Just like the previous Speaker. He'd better be practicing his 'walking on water' to avert a gov't shutdown. But wait, is destroying the country his goal, like the rest of those guys? Senators usually find ways to fill their pockets holdings, but low-seniority reps can have budget problems keeping more than one dwelling (one in DC, the other at home). When the paychecks stop it's going to get real for them.
  6. Getting close to the edge there, buddy! Public tantrum that IS NOT in front of a MAGA crowd makes him a possible target for the men with the butterfly nets. Secret Service needs to keep a hypo of thorazine at the ready.
  7. Betcha he gets rid of it as first order of business.
  8. The commercial real estate market in the NYC area has a long reputation for being a snake pit. DT is just one of a whole culture of these grifters. And not all of them comport themselves as a cross between a mafia don and a Bond villain.
  9. I've lost track, are they going to keep that 'a single rep can toss the Speaker' rule that got Kevin dumped? They got another young zealot who will do what they are told, like Jenna Ellis. DC draws a certain type of person, just like Hollywood does.
  10. Not a very humane sentiment there, boyo.
  11. While I don't share her religious beliefs I am impressed that she stood up for her core tenets, the things she believed in before being allured by the orange idol. Atheist I may be, but I do think that honest redemption is possible (not that bs "mistakes were made" so popular in politics). I guess it took the indictment, which turned her into a criminal, to cause her to ask the question "what have I become?" (Maybe Hutchinson's "mirror test" explanation hit home.) She realized that not only did she muck up her own life but would bring shame to her old-time religion. In the US, as in many countries and cultures, staunch religious practices (along with their rules and consequences for violating them) can make the leaders and their followers look like hypocrites, but this gal seems to have a conscience. Word is she is trying to get Rudy on the side of the angels -- good luck with that one, miss. But please do not go into politics. Look at what it did to preacher's daughter Sarah Huckabee. On the other hand maybe it was that old lyric line but our prayer won't kill the bear that hit home.
  12. I can't keep track of how many times I've heard about developing countries establishing an elite LE entity answerable only to the highest echelons. But in this case, is it a step up in the BiB v. military competition?
  13. This has been part of that right-wing fringe since the Gingrich days: those that push the iron-heel philosophy all hate each other. It's not about a purity of cause (though some will play it that way, like Rubio used to do) but it's more like those high school movies like "Mean Girls" or "Heathers." For clarity here, I am not saying it's limited to the MAGA females, though I am expecting Nancy Mace to join the ladies' brawls between MTG and Boebert. The only real allegiance I have detected was between Limbaugh and Hannity, but that was more of a mutual don't get in my way than an actual camaraderie. And usually all this nastiness was off-air.
  14. Let's see if these pleaders deliver as promised at the trial(s).
  15. They don't even try for that any more, except for the Sedition Caucus. McConnell announced that the purpose of the GOP Congress was to ensure that Obama was a one-term president, and that was that. I think it was the day after the GOP lost the 2012 election that Bobby Jindel, a GOP contender for the WH that year, said "the Republican Party has to stop being the party of stupid." Sez who?
  16. The guy looks like a ventriloquist's doll. Is Jeff Dunham in politics now?
  17. A weekend in jail for the traitorous FORMER president would be a worthy gift for us all.
  18. Six years probation? Is this real probation, where cops up roll up whenever they want and demand a urine test and look through her things? That's the way it is for everybody else.
  19. What's all this about indicting ham sandwiches, do you guys live under Sharia?
  20. If there is any Biblical reference to the guy it is the golden calf. This depiction was on display at a CPAC.
  21. Looks like the guy with the bow-tie might be named as expanded pro-tem.
