Masks and vaccine mandates have been dropped in NZ and Australia, I have had Omicron twice, my 10 Yr old son has had it twice and we never got sick, apart from a bad cough that the boy had, I'm 70 and never knew I had it, none of us vaccinated except for the wife who also got it, she spent 8 days in bed with it. No one seems worried about covid now people are not talking about it and no one seems interested in any jabs, the government is offering Pfizer pills now, on the whole no one seems to give a toss, although a lot said they Probabiy might not have got the vaccine if they new more.

Kids left on school vans: New RTP chief orders a crackdown
kiwikeith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why would the child be left in the van when a teacher was looking after the occupants? Something very wrong here, perhaps a DNA test might reveal more -
What about the truck drivers log books he promised would be up and running within weeks, never heard of since the announcement years ago

He will be accepted for the part without audition, he has given an excellent live audience audition of his natural acting ability for the last 8 years

All that is required is a rapid Antigen test or RAT test but it has to be a professional one, you can get them done in NZ at the chemist in NZ for 90 dollars, it's the same test you can do yourself at home but Thailand requires it to be done by a medical professional the chemist's do them and give you the paperwork for 90 dollars. My friend just went back to Thailand with his Thai wife and kids and they waved him straight in and never asked for anything, never tested anyone and never asked to see his rapid Antigen results, but don't take the risk get it done and you can get straight in you don't need a PCR, just a professional Rapid Antigen test done within 72 hours before arrival

Moderna for 2nd booster in Korat or Khon Kaen?
kiwikeith replied to grain's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I got an email from the NZ govt Covid-19 response team offering me 100 dollars groceries voucher for countdown supermarket to get vaccinated, I am not vaccinated, I have had Omicron BA 2 and a second infection of BA 4/5 I had a running nose with slight fever for 2 days my son got it second time as well, and the wife, she's the only one vaccinated, no one wants boosters now just about everyone I talk to don't want anymore and only the very elderly are the ones ending up in hospital with 3 and 4 jabs, Omicron BA. 4/5 is peeking in the UK now and expected to trend down as its completely displacing all the other variants and evading vaccine and it seems natural immunity, good. News is it didn't make me or my family sick, or my friends also unvaccinated, but each to your own. -

So, are BA.4 BA.5 sub-variants containable in Thailand?
kiwikeith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
According to published UK government data B4/5 is more infectious, so hospital rates will climb, but the death rate isn't, so far. It does not appear to be more serious, I just got Omicron again after my 10 Yr old brought it home from school, he's unvaccinated same as me, it's his second infection as well, the Thai wife got it again as well, she's double vaccinated. My son got a bad cough with flem for over a week, then the wife and I tested positive, both of us slight cough no flegm and were not sick, maybe slight fatigue one day and running nose with sneeze, but over it very quickly not even as bad as the flue, that's 2 adults and a childs story, we presume it's B4/5 as B2 we had 10 weeks ago and B4/5 is what is circulating in NZ at present, but they only issue you with a pack of rapid antigen test kits and of you go home and test yourself, most of my sons school friends tell him that they have it as well and it's school holidays at the moment and their parents don't want to report it, as then your locked at home for 11 days, this seems to be the norm with many of my friends and nobody seems worried, except the very elderly with other problems are still at risk. -
‘Tourism fee’, now for all travellers to Thailand, ready to launch
kiwikeith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Shouldn't be a problem for Thai passport holders, its more a problem for airlines, why they can't collect it at the airport is strange as airlines would be taking a cut.
