  1. Yeah George its quite plain you know "the Score" ,and could be that Bookmans remarks about Chooka's post being somehow "ludicrous and nonsense"for me just meant that political correctness is very much alive and well even "down under" and speaking or writing the truth is very much frowned upon just in case you "offend" someone ,maybe thats the problem with modern day society

Quite so. There is always trouble these days using facts if they don't follow the PC premise that all groups should be treated as if they behave according to universal norms. I read for instance that the incidence of domestic violence in Aboriginal communities is fifty (50) times greater than in the ethnic Caucasian population. There are many reasons for this, indeed out of all groups the Aboriginals probably experienced the greatest culture shock encountering western civilization as essentially stone age hunter gatherers. They had no alcohol in their culture, which caused massive problems when they encountered it, but the fact remains nevertheless.

There is a huge difference between recognizing what may contribute to behavioral problems and denying they exist, and yes the historical treatment of the aborigines was not good, but it is equally wrong to overcompensate by taking things too far the other way.

  2. Only up to 15 Dan?, That could well mean that the remaining pupils agreed with this left wing lunatic ,I dispare I really do ,this sort of thing is on the increase ,the dangerous part of it is that this sort of infantile brainwashing starts at a very early age, many Muslim kids are taught to hate European Culture ,and many Europeans are taught to be ashamed of it "lest they offend" , The end result?, you tell me!!

I can't tell you as it would be ruled hate speech, as would most of Winston Churchills warnings about national socialism had it been on the rise in 2012 as oppose to the 1930's. If you really want to know what I think google 'Sultan knish The New' and you will see the sad reality spelled out as it is in France and indeed Europe today.

    Sultan Knish?

    Seriously?

    Sounds like a Borat routine.

You need to google a knishe to understand. Sort of like perogies, but not as heavy.

Alas, the content is even heavier than perogies, but on a lighter if off topic note there was an unfortunate mix up at a medal ceremony in Kuwait where a Kazakhstan medal winner was played the spoof national anthem from the film Borat, presumably by mistake. cowboy.gif

  4. Aw, I think he just had an unfortunate upbringing, how about a minutes silence for the mass murder as oppose to his victims. sick.gif

Meanwhile an English teacher sparked outrage across France yesterday after calling for her pupils to observe a minute’s silence for Merah.

In disturbing scenes at Gustave Flaubert High School in Rouen, Normandy, Lorraine Collin, 56, described the terrorist as being the ‘victim of an unhappy childhood’.

This prompted up to 15 pupils aged between 17 and 18 to storm out of their classroom and report Ms Collin to their headmaster.

Yes, there are elements of the lib-left who are so far beneath contempt it boggles the mind.

  5. Here is commentary arguing Israel are more likely to attack than not before November as an Obama regime pre-election is less likely to throw Israel under a bus.

    http://www.commentar...ll-strike-iran/

Events will overtake all commentators, they always do. Unfortunately I can see a series of Al Queda style attacks on London later this year, and if they are successful to any extent then that will be the event that will result on a full scale attack on Iran. Even if Iran is not directly implicated it will be blamed.

Non Brits don't understand the concept of John Bull, he represents the Brits of the ages, and he still sticks his head above the parapet. Politicians are terrified of him, as when John Bull stirs the entire country stirs. The last time John Bull started shifting wasn't the July 7 attacks in 2005, it was 2 weeks later when the 21st July attacks failed.

If those attacks had succeeded the John Bull would have risen from his sleep and you would have seen civil disobedience in the UK such as you have never seen before. There would be well nigh the same reaction as Kristallnacht......that might seem like an extreme example, however that is what is at stake.

British politicians fear John Bull, they try to harness the best of him with his bulldog spirit, but they fear his power when angered. Where does this attach itself to Iran? You would have one permanent member of the security council on a war footing, the French are struggling right now to keep their version of John Bull under control after the murders in the last few days, and a Pro - Israeli US government being pressured by two long time allies to make a move.

So my prediction is, don't watch Iran this year............watch London. What happens in London will dictate much this year.

That's an interesting take on things, the British sense of fair play and tolerance usually makes us less prone to civil unrest than some places, but yes something is stirring for sure. Actually it is the disconnect between what populations perceive and what they are told that eventually leads to a breakdown in the social contract between those that govern and those that are governed. Iran despite the denials of their apologists are knee deep in the current mayhem, not only threatening Israel and oil supplies, but also causing deep anxiety with the Sunni gulf states viz their nuclear program. The timing of the OP report is actually more significant than it's content and is seemingly part of a gathering storm.

  6. This article provides some interesting cultural/political background on the meaning and context of this event in France:

For now, I predict that in an ironic twist of fate, what was explicitly an anti-Semitic attack will become a source of anti-Semitic and hypocritical finger-pointing, as French presidential candidates will use Merah’s background to supplement their borderline racist rhetoric on the importance of laïcité and integration, while those who wish to downplay the very horror of an attack carried out by a French citizen will point at Israel, which the gunman named as a reason for targeting Jewish children. But if you say as much, people will only glower at you and stare.

    http://www.slate.com..._toulouse_.html

Interesting read, but lets keep things short so our political goldfish leaders can remember the crucial point and act on it.

  7. I'm more interested in the so called observation he was supposed to be under, he escaped detention in Afghanistan and was on an American no-fly list but he still was able to murder 7 people. If the Thai authorities had been responsible for tracking him and 7 deaths resulted people would be having a field day condemning them. I think a few answers should be given a.s.a.p.

  8. It is one thing to take anonymous posters on an internet forum to task for 'spinning' this tragic event, however let us not forget that those whose views receive wide circulation have zero compunction in doing the same, and worse. First there was Catherine Ashton in her capacity as an EU spokesperson making a completely fallacious comparison to this premeditated racist murder and accidental casualties in Gaza caused by Israel going after terrorists who were trying to murder it's citizens.

Then you have the ever disgusting BBC ramming their commentary down people's throats with zero regard to the facts.

    http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2012/03/joseph-goebbels-alive-and-well-at-bbc.html

The BBC were determined to do a hatchet job on Marianne LePen, but when it became apparent a Muslim fanatic was the murderer a cone of politically correct silence resulted.

  9. The humorous aspect of the aid package is that both the PAL and the EU would prefer to channel the money via Israel. Whenever the Egyptian border crossings into Gaza or the Jordanian crossings into the west bank are used, time, money and property are lost. When the projects go via Israel, the losses are minimal since there are no sticky fingers on that route. It is a little secret no one likes to discuss. Gaza is a nice money maker for Egypt as the Gaza arabs have to bribe and pay fees at those crossings.

I see. Indeed had Egypt granted Palestinian refugees citizenship ages ago this lucrative skimming of aid consignments would not have been possible.

  10. At least in this case, we won't be hearing any wacky Israel "false flag" insinuations. Al Queda terrorist fanatic murders innocent Jewish babes. Even the most rabid false flag fantasy spinners won't touch this one. coffee1.gif

Anyway, very tragic news. Not the first time (innocent Jewish targets in the west have been attacked many times over the years) and unfortunately not the last time either.

You really are a disgrace. False flag first - commiserations second.

It is not a disgrace, but a fair observation. Whenever a horrific act such as this occurs, the first response of those with a bias is to blame the victims or to suggest that they were responsible. The most recent examples were the failed attacks by the Iranians in Bangkok and the comments about the ongoing barrage of missiles and rockets against Israel. In this case, because the accused has been identified and has admitted to his acts, it is hard to trot out the usual "false flag" excuse.

In addition to the school kids were the 3 French military personnel (out of uniform) that were shot in their backs. We now see the nature of Al Q. terrorists and why this is not about politics but a fight between right and wrong.

You also forgot the indecent haste to make political capital out of the tragic shooting of Afghan citizens by a U.S marine. Actually it was asked in said case whether there were any warning signs which could have alerted those in charge and incredibly the same definitely applies here as the French were supposed to be watching the murderer, but evidently not close enough seeing as he managed to murder 7 people.

  11. Farma

That is great news if true, now I hope a few beefy members of the Foreign Legion can find out what this animal has done and who he is connected with, prior to him spending the rest of his life in solitary confinement.

Just don't let those beefy Foreign Legion boys use water boarding.

Not to mention he could have been taken out by a drone on his training mission to Afpak

  12. Yeah is must leave a bad taste in your mouth seeing all that dough going from your Country going to A Country you abhor clap2.gif

It is not mine so I dont care but............If the US are going to give there are certainly better/more needy recipients to give it to.

Lastly the truly sad thing is the USA themselves are spinning down a drain financially & Israel is one of the bigger leeches that should be surgically removed

Never thought that is why they are giving them the dough ,cos they do not want to see their greatest ally in the middle East "surgically removed" .

Surgical sounds so painless and without collateral damage, but the would be surgeons favoured by some posters leave a lot to be desired. Also for whatever Israel receives it's contribution to science, medicine etc is enormous compared to that made by many of the other recipients of U.S aid combined.

  13. Big Col

Islam is a religion, Zionism is a political movement.

Oh, please. You don't think the Iranian Islamic revolution was a political movement?!?

Actually, if you take the Quran and Hadiths and other Islamic texts ensemble they devote an enormous percentage of their content to how to conduct affairs with non-Muslims, this is the very epitome of a political movement, whereas Zionism is about the Jews and does not concern itself with affairs outside of Israel.

  14. Do you believe that true terrorist would be that pathetic? Strictly an academic point. Do you think the Iranians would send millions dollars and weapons to support a proxy terror effort that actually produced virtually nothing in real terms?

There was an end product; dead Palestinians. Iran has little regard for it's own citizens so it will have zero regard for the well being of Palestinians. They do have a propaganda value if killed by the Israelis though, and arming them with hi-tech weaponry would only result in sympathy for the Israelis if they caused significant casualties, not to mention the inevitable reprisals.

  15. Yes have to admit it is funny to watch......

Quite frankly I despair.............this country is on the cusp of having nuclear weapons and it is even closer to reverting back to a non democratic Islamic caliphate and you think it's funny.

Just the usual justifications and excuses for the criminal actions of Iran (as well as Syria, Gadhafi, Hamas and Hezzbollah) while trashing the U.S and Israel. Free speech and all that. rolleyes.gif

Self hatred can be an unedifying spectacle.

  16. Does the fact that your enemy is using pitifully inadequate weapons in any way diminish the fact that he is attacking you with the intent of causing death and destruction? Do you ignore him because his success rate is low and he hasn't killed one of your children YET?

    The answer is NO.

UG, frankly This thread sadly is now bordering on the ridiculous , the rockets fired into Israel was a retaliatory strike by those Islamist's who appear to operate with immunity in Gaza for the IDF "taking out" a terrorist who they viewed as a threat to their citizens ,but the over 200 rockets launched was not meant as a revenge attack into Israel with the sole purpose of endangering Israeli life and property! , maybe its just me ,but I am somewhat at odds to understand if those in Gaza do not wish to cause loss of life and damage to Israeli property ,why oh why are they willing to risk their very lives to fire them in the first place???

Perhaps it's done by backwards messages beamed through their televisions. cowboy.gif

  17. The ignorance on display here is overwhelming. Laws are supposed to apply to both the rich and connected as well as the poor but as soon as one of the rich guys gets arrested all of a sudden the USA is a police state.

Clooney expected to get arrested as part of the publicity he wants for the issue.

It's a worthy issue, I'm just wondering why Obama hasn't acted on it yet? I bet Clooney expected something to be done soon after Inauguration Day 2009 and he must be disappointed today.

As for there being no oil there, there wasn't any oil when we went into Somalia back in 1992 to feed people and there wasn't any oil in Bosnia when we had to go in to stop the genocide in the mid-90's. Most people here already knew that.

Actually, they do have oil in Sudan, mostly in the South, but the North Sudan government has lost control of that thanks to engaging in a racist and genocidal war against half their population leading to the formation of South Sudan. I expect Nigeria to go the same way; they also have oil in the South of the Country.

  18. Talk softly, but carry a big stick.

    http://www.debka.com/article/21837/

Normally this site provides good information, but I tend to question the part where it says the US Navy has three carrier battle groups IN the Persian Gulf. With the bottleneck at the Straits of Hormuz, there would be no effective way out without suffering some losses.

The Fifth Fleet is normally there and if the other carriers are in the area, I doubt seriously if they are inside the Straits of Hormuz. The three US carriers have around 220 attack aircraft that can get to Iran in very short order if need be. There is no reason to expose three battle groups to a confined area like the Persian Gulf.

Yes, I've heard about the lack of room for maneuver in the straight. Perhaps one group is replacing another, or even moving there for a very short time to coax a response out of Iran. I don't think we need wait very long to find out.
