Does your daughter speak Thai?
-
Obviously it is good that someone from the Move Forward party exposes this. But there is one big problem: The vast majority of Thai people don't pay any income tax. For them it doesn't matter where the money comes from. It's other peoples' money.

I just found a video which explains the differences. Summary: Don't use AC anymore. A is minimum what should be used, F and B are even better. There are also symbols for these types.

Dating with Dan. Help the Goat find a Good Thai Woman
OneMoreFarang replied to Goat's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
So was he looking for a (possible long time) girlfriend or for a lady for a night or two? Because if he was looking for a girlfriend and there are "too many options" then it should have been easy for him to select one of those available options. No need to see all of them if he meets one and she is just fine. -
I am also interested where to buy them.

how many MCB´s behind one RCCB? Or use RCBO´s instead?
OneMoreFarang replied to jim234's topic in The Electrical Forum
My breaker box is still under construction. Currently I use RCBOs with L and N input and L and N output. I think it's obvious how to wire them. Until now I was not aware of the different types. But it seem important not to use AC type anymore. So it's time for me to do some shopping... -

I would never use a dating site to find a girlfriend. Why? Because the girls which I want don't need any dating site. And just in case that any of them would use a dating site then she would have lot of offers from guys who are younger and fitter than me. -

I have 2 N-bars, separate for each group of MCBs with a RCCB. And the RCBOs have all separate L and N outputs, no N-Bar. And it's important not to mix up the N wires. Because if any of them is not installed correctly then the RCCBs or RCBOs won't work in the way they should work. I use Phoenix terminals - and I am probably the only person in Thailand who uses them. ???? https://www.phoenixcontact.com/en-pc/products/terminal-blocks -
The official ABB shop on Lazada sells all RCBOs in Type AC: https://www.lazada.co.th/acb-official-store/

It seems first priority in Thailand is that it looks nice. This shiny new floor. And I guess it's easy to clean - at least when it's new. I can walk in shopping centers, but I saw lots of building entrances with shiny slippery floor. That seems to be normal in Thailand.

Also think about the extra wiring within the breaker box. If you use RCBOs then each of them had two inputs and two outputs. In "standard installations" you have a neutral bar, and all neutral wires are connected to that bar. With RCBOs they are all separate. This is just a random picture, I didn't find anything better. -

I saw a couple of videos from a professional UK electrician. They described it like that: Some time ago (don't ask me how long ago) it was normal to install one RCCB in one breaker box. And then they "discovered" that in theory that does the job, but if the RCCB is triggered, then all the power is off. That is obviously a problem, maybe with light at night, etc. And that is why they started the rule that there should be two RCCBs. So if one of them switches the circuits off, then "half the house" still has power. Personally I installed two RCCBs with each somewhere between 5 to 10 MCBs - it's not finished yet. And then I have a few RCBOs for special circuits, i.e. one for the fridge, so that I can easily switch everything off except the fridge. And one RCPO is for my home automation system to make sure that works independently from all the rest. I tried to learn more about what is commonly used, and it seems there are no strict rules. Similar like how many MCBs one needs. Some homes have 4, others have 10 or 20. Up to whatever the electrician thinks makes sense. I have lots of MCBs to separate rooms and power and light. Is it necessary? Not really. But MCBs are cheap, so why not. Above is my personal experience, I have some experience with electrical installations but I am not a professional. I am also interested what others say. -
Thanks I had to get to almost the end of the first page of this thread to read your informed comment. It's sad that too many people are so one sided. Many politicians have bad and good sides, including the two top US party leaders. Why is it so important for some people to see only the bad side of the other guy? If he would be only bad, then nobody would vote for him. That doesn't mean I like Trump. I definitely don't like him. But that is no reason for me to accept that maybe he did also some good things. And Biden is old and senile - even if he is more likable than Trump.

I have to admit, I don't know if more things were done. In general Joe Rogan is well informed and intelligent. And he is not on one side of American politics. Obviously it's good when politicians get things done. But is that reason enough to accept an a$hole as president? Would you want to be represented by that guy? It seems Americans don't care much what the rest of the world thinks about them. But Trump was about the worst what they could do internationally to represent America and Americans.

I know where their cable section is and I didn't ask for any specific cable because my experience with asking them anything specific is not exactly good. Maybe they know where in the building is the electric department or the plumbing area, but that's about as much as we can hope for - at least IMHO.
