  1. At least 95% of what I bought on Lazada was what I expected. If the description is misleading or unclear, I don't buy it. If the seller rating is low, I won't buy it. If the price is too good to be true, I won't buy it. If I am not sure, I chat with the shop. Some don't react with anything useful, so I don't buy it. Thats still leaves many good shops with many interesting products which are difficult to find in shops. I am sure some shops sell those things. But where? And do I want to travel to the other side of the city for a 100B item if I can just order it and wait for 2 days? I guess it would be very difficult for Lazada to filter out some products and/or sellers. How many sellers are there? And how many products? Should a team of 100 people every day look at all those details? Who will pay for that? Look at the details of the product and the seller. Chat with them. And only buy if you think all is ok.
  2. If is it not a switching converter than there won't be extra noise. Two cables around a core. That's it.
  3. AI = Artificial Intelligence <> robots. Robots are getting more sophisticated but they are still very expenive. This is an interesting interview about the current situation. 2 years ago:
  4. How should that be possible? I imagine it might be that AI might be better in analyzing facts, making a diagnosis, and suggesting the best treatment. But how much is that of the total healthcare? Who pulls the blood and analyzes it? There are certainly machines and chemicals involved in this process. Where does medication come from? Someone must produce them. Who helps people into hospital beds? Maybe robots. And they cost a lot more than just electricity. Who does the operations? The list goes on and on. I am sure AI will be helpful. But there is a lot more to it than just AI and electricity.
  5. This is probably the first time that I add a serious comment to this thread. I am currently watching the below video. Starting from about 31 minutes into the video it contains about an hour of discussion between Jordan Peterson and Konstantin Kisin, about god. Both are highly intelligent people. Konstantin Kisin does not believe in god. With Jordan Peterson I am not sure how to describe his relation to god and religion. But he argues like if god exists. Whatever you think, I think this is a very interesting deep discussion. Enjoy! And no, I don't want to discuss this here. It's just an interesting link.
  6. Sure. Rent a villa somewhere and do your party. And make sure you don't disturb the neighbors. Enjoy.
  7. IMHO that is the biggest problem. Sometimes I built PCs for small businesses. Price is not really a big issue. Years ago, I used good parts and a relative cheap small case - and customers were not impressed. Then I used bigger cases from Cooler Master, etc., with basically the same internal parts. Customers were impressed with those fast (=big) PCs. I will never build and sell any cheap and small PCs anymore... You can see right away that that must be a fast PC. ????
  8. There was a time when gays and lesbians just wanted to be accepted like everybody else. I think most of us accept them. But then, I don't know when it started, some of them decided to rub is all in our faces. You don't only have to accept the way we are, you have to celebrate it! And dare not to do that. And now, with some very loudmouth activists, we should even deny reality. Suddenly a man with a penis, who tells us he identifies as a woman, must be treated like any other woman. He can just walk into women's locker rooms, etc. And if anybody asks if that really makes sense, then just asking that question brings comments like bigot, etc. Can we please get back to a point where we could live in peace together without sexualizing everything? The world will be just fine without a pride month or day or hour. School children don't need to see frag queens to grow up. We should at least try to live in harmony together.
  9. It depends on what you want and expect. I was in Koh Larn (1h boat from Pattaya) in 1996 and I shared a long beach with maybe 5 other people. I loved it. But we were lucky to get some food at all, no choice of a couple of restaurants. It all depends on that you want. My comment was mostly about the fact that some places are advertised like pristine beaches with few people, but in reality, it is crowded. Not according to expectations.
  10. That would obviously be smart. But imagine if you would love that people recognize you everywhere. And that some of them treat you like the messiah. And you know you just deserve to be treated like that. He will get that only in Thailand. In all those other countries he can probably walk into any 7/11 and they tell him to go to the end of the line. So sad for someone who just knows how important he is.
  11. I don't know what is end game is. But his constant attitude is that he hates it to be ignored. Now people talk about Move Forward and not about him. That is obviously something he can't accept. So what does he do? Go to the press with some crazy statement which he will know they will pick up. And he has another 15 minutes of fame. It must be sad to be so desperate for attention.
  12. Use Google Maps https://www.google.com/maps/search/pattaya+blind+massage/@12.9261548,100.8688443,13z?entry=ttu I visited the place in Naklua a couple of times, years ago, and they did a good job.
  13. I like Thai massage. If possible, I visit places with blind massage specialist who studied in Wat Poo. The problem is that there seems to be few people who learned massage properly. And there are different styles. And obviously massage specialists who "feel" how the patient reacts and some who just don't care. I think best is to try different places and different specialists and keep an open mind what you like or don't like. I.e. some people love massage of the head. Others hate it. Not same, different.
  14. I think in situations like that the most important part is that the candidate can later say: "I tried."
  15. 60 guests sound crowded! I was there in 1985. Maybe 10 huts on the island. At that time, they didn't have any of those bungalows in the see like now. And I remember reading in the travel guide: With food you had two choices. Rice with fish or fish with rice. They didn't lie. I loved it. I would love to visit again under the same conditions. But that was almost 40 years ago, and it is very different today. I better keep my memories. Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures anymore which I made at that time.
  16. What is the legal situation with this: A Thai Limited company, maybe registered with 6m THB, has a couple of employees since many years. Then the boss makes stupid decisions, no incoming money anymore, the company is unable to pay salaries. And if the company fires long time employees the company can't pay severance payments. Do the employees just have to accept reality, there is no money anymore, and go home? Is the GM or maybe the shareholders responsible to put up their own money to pay for outstanding salaries, etc.?
  17. Last time I looked, the Hooters in Bangkok right across from Nana Plaza was still busy. And I remember from some time ago that they had more stunning girls in that place than in most of the gogo bars across the road. So it seems the concept is not the problem.
  18. Thinking? What does the desire for sex have to do with thinking? If you think guys think if they want to have sex, then think again.
  19. Survival and existence for generations. Lots of kids, lots of possibility of spreading the genes. Repeat. That's biology 101. It's not that complicated.
  20. Biology, since a long, long time: Men want to produce many babies. Young and pretty (healthy) women are the best "target" to do that. Some people might say with modern society that is not true anymore. Wrong. Survival instinct from millions of years does not just change in a couple of hundred years.
