  1. I am happy with two chair and one table. And we will order drinks and food from the vendor. I only had this "all reserved" issue one time. But it was on my last visit, that is why I remember and ask.
  2. My gf has long hair. Does that matter these days?
  3. says the guy who lost the last election. I know it is difficult for him to admit it or understand it. But it seems the majority of Americans decided they are much better off without him. Maybe he should just shut up.
  4. There is a proven method: Trust only news from reliable sources. And if it is important then check multiple reliable sources.
  5. I visited Pattaya and Jomtien many times over the years. But not recently since Covid started. I think about going there for a weekend from Bangkok. A long time ago it was easy: We arrived on the beach in Jomtien and then we just walked to the beach and got some beach chairs. Maybe 50B per day, I forgot. But I remember last time, a couple of years ago, we arrived at the beach and the situation was different. It was morning and the beach was nearly empty and almost all beach chairs were free. So we though let's get one. But then the vendor informed us that they are all reserved, hundreds of them. We walked a little further on the beach and the situation was the same. How is it now? Can we just walk to the beach (in the morning maybe 9 or 10am) and get some chairs? Are they available? What do they cost now? We also visited another small beach sometime, I think it's called Naklua beach. As far as I remember the situation was better at that beach. But my experience was from years ago, maybe 2020. If I go there I will come with my long time Thai gf. My Thai language is also good enough for basic conversations. What is your experience now?
  6. Don't do it. Short time Airbnb is illegal. Renting for longer time is not easy, there are many available units, and many are empty for a long time. And then you need someone reliable to look that all goes alright..
  7. Add to that the lost decades before that, when Thaksin was in charge, that is obviously bad news. Imagine the judges would have removed Thaksin right away when he made those "honest mistakes" at the beginning of his premiership. No years with Thaksin, no coups, all could have been wonderful.
  8. I guess we have to see it positive that those illegal taxis won't be missed because there are so many legal overcharging taxis...
  9. I thought that's what angle grinders are used for.
  10. It seems David Beckham knows that 10,000,000 is more money than 10,000. Amazing. And why does the guy who thought Beckham would take 10,000 instead or 10,000,000 get an award? For the most idiotic idea or what? Maybe one has to be part of that LBGTQ+/- whatever group to understand all this.
  11. What do they have to do to get an award? Shout very loud? It seems that is the common attitude from that group.
  12. What a thread! I guess Beckham was so scared that he declared right away that he doesn't want the 10 million anymore. You can't make it up.
  13. Shoot first - it seems that is what the USA do at least since decades. The land of the free and all that.
  14. Probably Trump did something like GoFundMe and his idiotic supporters will pay the bill - plus some extra money for Trump, the innocent victim.
  15. Welcome to the club. It seems the woke mob is extreme loud on the internet. If you say anything which upsets them then they make a tremendous amount of noise. It seems that is at least one of the reasons why many politicians don't say: enough is enough, not with me!
  16. IMHO there are only very few cases where users really need the latest and best. Computers which are 1 or 2 years old are still very good for almost anything (if they have enough RAM, etc.). ThinkPads have since many years very good quality, great drivers support, etc. They also have great options like on site premium support when you buy them for reasonable prices. If you don't care if the computer doesn't work for a week or two, then there are for sure cheaper options. But if you want a good product which if it fails (coffee spill, whatever) will be repaired within a day or two then ThinkPads are definitely a good choice.
  17. Buy the best, Lenovo ThinkPad. ThinkPad | Mobile workstations, laptops, & 2-in-1s for your business | Lenovo Thailand Nuff said.
  18. Yeah, her idea about putting a male rapist, who now declares he is a woman, in a woman's prison was probably not such a good idea. I wonder in what kind of bubble she lives or lived to ever "think" putting a rapist in women's prison to support his human rights is a good idea.
  19. Thanks, I understand your points. But believe it or not, the model GKS 18V-68 GC (not the GKS 18V-68 C) is pretty near to a track saw. I also bought a matching track. I saw a German review of a couple of track saws and circular saws and this one was in the top. And last but not least it is obviously always a question what is available in Thailand. This was in stock at a company from which I bought other tools and which I trust. And I have already several Bosch 18V batteries. Was it the best possible choice? Probably not. Was it a good choice and available? I think so.
  20. Thanks for all your advice. If I would have unlimited space then I would have bought a miter saw, and maybe something else. But with my limited space and likely limited use I decided to buy a circular saw, a good one. Until now it is still in the box, I will use it in the next months. 21. It seems you have difficulties with the concepts of videos and reality. Videos often show only a part, maybe a small part of reality. If you just watch videos, you don't get the whole picture. And that is obviously not exactly news, and you should know this. Now the question is do you pretend that you don't understand the difference or do you don't understand that there is a difference.
  22. It's funny when some people here pretend they saw something in real but then they saw edited videos. I saw enough edited videos of gogo bars, even on YouTube. And I saw a lot more in real. I can assure you the YouTube vides show only a small part of what is going on in the gogo bars. And that might be similar with the drag shows. So be careful when you pretend you know what is going on.
  23. It's interesting that you write here that you know it's all harmless but then you say you never visited such a show. So how do you know it's harmless? Just a picture of a family with some ladyboys is not exactly evidence for anything.
  24. About 20 years ago my mother visited me in Bangkok and she wanted to see a ladyboy show. Ok, let's go there. We saw the show. And after the show when we walked out all those ladyboys waited there to get tips and they were ready for pictures together with anybody who wanted that. Now I didn't ask any of them personally if they want to join me or my mother in the evening. But it seems they all were pretty motivated to get tips. So I have some suspicion what else was on offer. But you, probably a regular with those ladyboys, likes to tell me that only gogo dancer do more than dance. Cabaret ladyboys would never do that. Really?
