  1. Thanks Obviously it is sad if people are treated badly - not just related to football. But I wonder if Qatar is so much worse than others? I.e. with the 2008 Olympics in China, did they treat everybody nicely? No accidents? No bad working conditions? I don't know if all was just fine, but somehow I would be surprised. And how many countries protested against China? And how many participants showed their support for human rights or something like that? I didn't pay much attention but I don't think much like that happened. Now it seems we have all the time some radical activists. At least for me most of them are annoying.
  2. I read a few articles about the word cup and about labor rights in Qatar, LBGTQ+/- whatever rights, black and white or more colorful sleeves and all that. And I have to admit I find the reactions all over the world strange. Some teams want to wear sleeves, others don't. Sponsors complain about teams which wear sleeves or don't wear them, some people say they will boycott everything, and and and. Why? Not that I care about football, but just in case I would be a football fan. Does this also mean I have to be an activist who insists on gay rights? Why? Do I have to care about how many people had accidents on construction sites? Should the world only watch the world cup if it would be in a wonderful land with no accidents, 100% perfect human rights record, etc.? Let's say this event would be in the UK. Should people boycott it because the UK exports weapons to the bad guys? Or maybe people should boycott is because some people still use oil even with this climate catastrophe where some people think we will all die sometime soon? As far as I see there are always things which can be criticized about the host country. It seems now it is not possible anymore that football fans only care about football. They all must be activist. Or not? Obviously it's not only football. There are those oil activists who glue themselves to anything. And people who predict the end of the world, gender equality ideologues, and and and.
  3. Again one of those articles with almost no real information but lots of opportunities to speculate. Who is the actress? What is the accusation against the CEO? What did he allegedly do? Is the rape victim in hospital? Does the alleged rapist have lots of scratch marks on his face when she tried to fight him? Lot of questions, no answers. Time to speculate. Or maybe we should all wait a few days or weeks until enough facts are known.
  4. Really? I remember one of Thaksin's arguments when he wanted the people vote for him (for the first time). He told everybody he is already so rich he doesn't need/want more money. And the masses believed him. Now tell me again, what is Thanatorn's motivation?
  5. The breaker Amp size must be lower than what the cable can handle. The cable should never fail. It's the job of the breaker to break the connection before the cable fails/overheats/melts. Obviously a breaker can be a lower number, i.e. 10A instead of 16. But never higher.
  6. 555 Who was the puppet? Her big brother even called her "clone". Abhisit has a lot of support in Bangkok. And where did you come up with "fringe fascist farangs"? I don't see many little Hitlers here. It must be your imagination.
  7. I remember that people gave her a chance to do her job. Will she work for all Thais and Thailand or for her brother? And then there was that night when her party tried to whitewash Thaksin, together with many other criminals. That was the beginning of the end of Yingluck. I was here and I clearly remember it. You could look it up...
  8. No. Lots of people like Abhisit because he opposed the criminal fugitive. Unfortunately they have only one Abhisit in that party.
  9. You member status reflects your experience in Thailand. Probably you don't know it, but you could look it up: There was a time when Thaksin or one of his minions was in charge and at that time he owned the courts. Nobody dared to convict him. You could look up his "honest mistake" when he became PM - just for a start. Prayut removed a criminal corrupt government because the police didn't do their job and the courts didn't do anything. So much about military control of the Thai justice system... And again, just for the record. Only because A is bad doesn't mean B is good. A and B can be bad or A and B can be good, or anything in between. We shouldn't try to put everything in black and white boxes.
  10. Maybe you should engage also the 2nd half of your brain. Yingluck and Thaksin being criminals doesn't mean Prayut and everybody else is clean. One main difference is that Thaksin and his little sister are convicted criminals. With other people you have to find evidence, prosecute them and then convict them first. You know, these little things which happen before people are declared guilty.
  11. Trump was also elected. At least over there some people understand that doesn't allow him to be above the law. But then, many voters over there are just as ignorant as many Thais.
  12. Sure, investigate him. And if there is evidence that Biden did something illegal then investigate him as well. But imagine the DEMs would insist that Ivanka and Jared Kushner should be investigated (I am sure a reason could be found). How would the GOP react? Like: How dare you drag his daughter and her husband into this. Same, same, not much different.
  13. Why is the son of the president such a target for the GOP? Personally, I think if there is evidence then he should be prosecuted. And that has nothing to do with who his father is. If the GOP are so keen to investigate crimes, then maybe they should start with Trump. That should keep them busy for years.
  14. Many of us see prettier girls every day just walking around the streets or shopping malls.
  15. Go ahead with your medicine. Do you have any other criminal heroes you want to tell us about?
  16. Why should I, or anybody else, like criminal who like to show off that they are above the law? Obviously, there were and are lots of corrupt people all over Thailand. The main difference was that Thaksin made it in your face. Look, I made all this money, and you can't do anything about it. Look, I am above the law. And now he is in the desert and dreams about how wonderful it would be to be in Thailand. I hope he comes back, and they put him behind bars for the rest of his life. Karma!
  17. Do you think Yingluck is innocent? Do you think people should be allowed to flee the country because otherwise they might get arrested? Do you think Thaksin and his family should be above the law? There is little doubt that the Shinawatra family is guilty as charged for many crimes. If they think they are innocent, then why don't they fight in the Thai courts? Let's not forget why Yingluck's government was removed: They tried to whitewash her brother, together with many other criminals, somewhere in the middle of the night. If Yingluck would have worked for Thailand and not her brother, then she wouldn't face any charges.
  18. And now learn how to make videos of such a rolling rocket. My favorite commercial.
  19. Next question: When can I buy a car which is faster than 500km/h? Not that I need it, but 500 sounds so much better than that boring 400km/h from that Bugatti Chiron...
  20. Thanks for your reply. 16A x 230V = 3,680W That is a LOT of light! Maybe our misunderstanding is just about the word "power". What is in your opinion a "power circuit"? I guess we agree that a heater, with maybe 5kW or 7kW, needs a lot of power and we can call it a power circuit. But how about a fridge? Or a fan? Or a big stereo? All these devices don't need much power.
  21. There are also lots of interesting videos on YouTube and some people who know what they are talking about. This is one interesting video, and the guy has a lot more of the same. Thomas Nagy - YouTube
  22. I used a cheque. The land office had a copy of the cheque, and I actually gave the cheque to the previous owner after I received the title with my name on it. As far as I know a cheque is the usual way to do this kind of business. The cheque has the name of the receiver on it, and it can only be transferred into a bank account by the receiver (showing his ID card or similar).
  23. A RCBO will only work if all the wires are connected correctly. It detects if the current on L is not the same as the current on N. If N is not installed correctly then this can't/won't work!
  24. That reminds me of that night when I was really unhappy, and I decided to get drunk. I bought a bottle of whisky and almost finished it. Almost. With about one or two drinks left in the bottle my body told me I had enough, and I stopped drinking. The next day I was tired but no headache or hangover. ????
