  1. 555 I don't know if they still do this, but I remember the Coyote girls from Tilac and other bars. Normal girls: Bikinis and shuffling around. Coyote girls: A lot more clothes and a little better shuffling around. I never understood the attraction of those Coyote girls.
  2. I have a friend who was about 70 years old when he was randomly attacked by a drug addict on the street near Sukhumvit Soi 29 in Bangkok. The drug addict obviously wanted money and he obviously wasn't thinking much. He just stabbed my friend many times with a knife. My friend doesn't look rich, he had no expensive clothes or anything like that, just an ordinary guy walking a kilometer back to his apartment at night. Could he have done anything to prevent this happening once it started? I have my doubts. After that, and maybe a week in ICU, he always took a taxi home at night - even for a few hundred meters. I guess that is the best anybody can do to prevent an attack.
  3. And do you think she cares or even understands what that means?
  4. Many of us heard from girls the sentence: He has too much money. Obviously nobody should ever steal anything from anybody else. But then some "rich" people should also think twice about showing others how rich they are. Because those others might get the impression that they could easily live without a couple of gold chains and rings because they obviously have too much money. Many people dream about having a lot of money and I guess they go for easy targets. Not good, but in a way understandable.
  5. To all the people here who blame the Thai guy: How long are you in Thailand and how often did any Thai person beat you or even try to beat you? Personally, I am here since 25 years and it never happened. So it seems this is not typical behavior. On the other hand, I saw more than once that someone was beat up because he opened his mouth far too much. Som nam na.
  6. Really? How many managers and company directors do you see regularly and how many bar girls? When I came to Thailand I went to a university to learn about Thailand. One business guy played part time teacher and he answered his mobile phone all the time. I even remember that we, the students, never heard a ring tone and we had no idea that there was something like a vibration alarm - we all didn't have mobile phones.
  7. The only little problem is of course if you have no experience how will you find an experienced specialist and be able to judge if that is really an experienced specialist?
  8. So it seems you think that nobody ever is refused entry using visa exempt, correct?
  9. But that still does not guarantee that everybody under all circumstances can just come in. And that is what this thread is about. What's the point of arriving at the airport and thinking you get 45 or 60 days and then the immigration officers tell you: Sorry sir, no entry for you. And maybe they explain why.
  10. Because Thailand does not guarantee that everybody who wants to enter can enter. So instead of booking a flight and finding out on arrival in Thailand that for whatever reason they don't let him in he can apply for a visa back home. If he gets that visa, fine. And if not then he didn't waste money on a flight.
  11. Why don't you apply for a visa before you come to Thailand? That obviously doesn't guarantee that you will be able to come to Thailand, but if you don't get a visa then you don't have to try to fly to Thailand. And if you get the visa only with problems then that should also give you a better idea about your situation.
  12. That must have been last year or earlier. By now that person was probably cancelled. ????
  13. It would be wonderful if you would be right. As far as I see it the problem is not that people are not allowed to use that N word anymore. There is for most of us also no problem with gays, lesbians and trans people. I am obviously no spokesperson for the anti-woke. But I guess many anti-woke people agree with the following: - People should be hired and fired according to their abilities, not because of their skin color or sexual orientation, etc. A good example is when the US president decided the new supreme court justice must be a black woman. That excludes about 95% of possible candidates. Is that fair? Does it make sense? The same obviously applies for any size company. - All those pronounce. Are they really so important? Do we need to change everything for the maybe 1% of people who think they are not male or female? Do we really need words like "they" for individuals. With police reports like: "they did this and that" and we don't even know if it was one person or a group of persons? That's just crazy! - Equality of outcome: Some woke people think there must be the same number of lawyers, pilots, managers, etc. Why? People have different interests. And none of those woke people fights so that that more than 3% of bricklayers are women. Why not? It's obvious, isn't it. The list goes on and on and on. And one big problem with the woke people is that they don't even "allow" any discussion. No, we "normal" people don't want to go back to slavery. But we also don't want to become slaves of the woke mob. This is a wonderful example how crazy those woke idiots are. They don't even accept that people can have different opinions and talk about those opinions. That's just nuts!
  14. I am one of those normal riders. I like my new tires and they are definitely better than my old worn tires. And I guess I would feel the same with probably every new tire. Is A better than B? Maybe. I will never use them to the limit to find out.
  15. Nobody in the woke world cares about capable or competent. It's important to select people like a lesbian native American, if possible with only one leg or arm. A brain is not really required as long as all the important equality boxes are clicked.
  16. It would be funny if it wouldn't be so sad for some people who don't want to follow the stupid woke rules. Here is another sad case. And another crazy inclusive story.
  17. It's like asking if WhatsApp messages are secure. In principle yes, until the Israelis hacked it.
  18. Now I looked it up. Thanks. But I have to admit I still doubt if all these properties can be accurately measured with a little current and weight sensors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioelectrical_impedance_analysis#Accuracy
