  1. There is a big difference between "asking for it" and bringing yourself in a dangerous situation. Let me try to explain it again: Why do sex workers often wear sexy short skirts and maybe stockings and high heels? Because lots of guys get horny when they see women with clothes like that. And obviously women know that. So if a women want's to avoid that guys think she is available what do those women do? They don't wear short skirts and stockings and high heels and walk at night on the streets. It's not so difficult to understand this connection. Is every woman who wears such thing a prostitute? No. But does she run the risk that horny guys who are maybe also drunk misinterpret her. Sure!
  2. Not really. But would I be surprised? No. Would I go to the police? No. I would just tell him to <deleted> off.
  3. Maybe someone should make a video, walking into a Thai police station and complaining that a horde of girls touched them in a bar somewhere. I love to see the face of the police officers.
  4. If I go to Walking Street, then I expect to be touched by all those girls. After all, what other reason is there to go to that street?
  5. And would you allow your daughters to walk around in Pattaya Walking Street alone and in the middle of the night? Or would you explain to them that that is a bad idea?
  6. Do you know Walking Street? No, it's not like any other street with people walking around. And it is not too difficult to realize the purpose of that street and the establishments.
  7. Yes, he should expect that that might happen. Obviously, he can try to walk away before it happens, but maybe he is not fast enough. That's what happens on Walking Street, it's not an accident, it's a feature. Live with it or walk somewhere else.
  8. Good luck you didn't demand that anybody locks up the cute girl which dragged me into that bar some time ago. And in the bar she did a lot more than that. And she didn't ask me for consent. Dirty little bitch! - I liked her. ????
  9. NO. Never! She was just there for the great atmosphere, maybe talking to strangers to pick up a tip what book to read before going to bed.
  10. You could try to add to this discussion with arguments and not just useless phrases. Did you ever walk in Walking Street in the middle of the night? I am a guy and maybe some girls try to grab me and pull me in a bar and there is a good chance that one or more of the ladyboys do that for other reasons. My experience is pre-covid, but I don't imagine much changed. The whole purpose of that street is for people to find each other to touch each other, to say it nicely. Anybody who is not interested in this shouldn't go there. And especially not alone and at night. Which part of that is so difficult for you to understand?
  11. I agree and a few days ago I saw a teenager on such a thing holding the middle of the little handle bar (the T section) with one hand and a mobile phone with the other hand. To be fair it was in a Soi and not on the main road. He was moving all over the road from side to side. Like: What could possibly go wrong...
  12. IMHO victim blaming is often a stupid term. If people don't use common sense and bring themselves in situations which they can easily avoid, and then things go wrong, and people point out that was predictable, why do some people call that victim blaming? Life is dangerous, and in certain areas and i.e. at night it is more dangerous. Think and act accordingly! Only fools do stupid risky things and are then surprised when things go wrong. And then some people call it victim blaming when others point out that it was just stupid to take that risk. Think, be realistic, and live longer.
  13. I don't know if there is an eBike section here, if yes, then please move this. I read more and more people consider eBikes. Maybe have a look at this video and consider again...
  14. If you would be a woman and you don't want to be touched, what would be about the last place where you would go? Or in another way: If I would be married with a woman who is not familiar with the bar business, would I support her if she would tell me she wants to walk alone in Walking Street at 2am? Sure not! And even with my gf, who I met in a bar, I would definitely ask her: Why would you want to go to that place at that time? It's like walking with an expensive camera around your neck in Rio, at night. What could possibly go wrong?
  15. IKEA sells different quality levels. I.e. some of their kitchens have 10 years warranty. Some have even 25 years warranty. I watched a lot of YouTube videos and basically everybody agrees IKEA has good quality kitchens for reasonable money.
  16. Please add the names of the bars and the numbers.
  17. Then maybe the burglar should have done a little research before climbing someone else property.
  18. The burglar took the risk. There is no valid reason to climb that wall. At least we can be sure he will never do it again. And maybe some other would-be burglars will learn from this - but I wouldn't bet on that. Personally, I think a burglar should not be killed on purpose by a human. But that is not what happened here. I guess it's called bad risk assessment.
  19. Some years ago I fell down on an uneven footpath. It hurt! And it hurt maybe for a month or two. Why would any old person go on anything from which they can possibly fall down from maybe 2m height? Stupid!
