I had a lot of problems with a tank. It filled for no apparent reason. No soakaway function. We ended up digging another tank about 10m away in the garden, that was below the level of the first tank, and connecting a large 6" blue pipe between the two, so the first tank fed into the 2nd any time the level reached the bottom of the pipe. A lot of hard work for my superman Cambodian builder. No problem since. My theory about the non functioning soakaway was lack of use over a period of time led to the soil becoming rock hard and completely impenetrable. Anyway, the overflow system worked for me.

What troubles you about an unarmed population? Most of the world is unarmed. If you're starving, drowning, dying of disease, what use is a gun? Only in the US is it becoming mandatory to carry a gun. Because your neighbour's got one. It's the only justification. If the population of America was disarmed, what do the NRA fear? What would be the outcome? Disaster for the weapons industry maybe. But they sell overseas mainly anyway. You think anarchy and chaos, looting and burning? Don't see much of that in Europe, for instance. China, India, Japan, much of South America, South Korea, Australia, NZ. Africa is completely overrun with arms. What a result. Death and destruction. The US is the odd man out.

The locks on this gate and the Dong Tan Beach one are a total pain. It's City Hall. I asked the locker uppers why they started locking them. "Mafia" they said, "Bad guys". The kids used to play all night beach volley ball on Dong Tan. Never any trouble. And of course a great cut through between Soi 5 and Jomtien. I asked the police at the Dong Tan station why they don't warn motorists the gate at the other end is locked. "City Hall" he told me. "Not police". Can sit with a coffee or beer at the big 7, bottom of Soi 5 and watch the cars and bikes confounded by the closure, having to turn round. Course, for bikes, there is a way round.

I lived on a resort where everybody (all foreigners) leased the land and bought the house off plan. Later, maybe 12 years later, many wanted out. Some had even abandoned their properties.The lessor agreed to sell the land bundled with the house to anyone legally able to buy it. So a number of "owners" were able to sell, but at a huge loss. The whole project was a disaster. I think they got the worst of both worlds. I sold up but my daughter is Thai so we had bought the land. Still sold at a loss. If you don't know the market, you're going to get burned.

You really just make this stuff up. Just a string of conjecture and nonsensical conclusions. You obviously hate this woman. Did she tell you to get lost at some earlier time in your life? Childish!

I don't take your comments seriously. You have no evidence the Innuit are or were cannibals. Or that they even discovered the bodies. The Uruguayans had to turn to cannibalism to survive high in the Andes. They later on got a special papal dispensation as they were Catholics. It obviously troubled them deeply what they did, but found forgiveness. Bears and wolves don't use knives to cut up their prey. Somebody did. And the cut marks were found on a jaw bone. So, what's your theory? Just groundlessly accuse the native people who lived on a healthy diet of seal and fish, and we're adept at surviving in that environment without eating each other? Rather than desperate Europeans who were completely unable to fend for themselves in such a harsh environment?
