  1. And you pray to a god that gives children cancer? Oh, that's right, he works in mysterious ways.
  2. He has millions of followers, do you? And what colour is your Lambo?
  3. It was popular was my point.
  4. One man's opinion. I never understood the popularity of Jerry Springer or Jeremy Kyle, but there's no understanding what the public likes. I think people just like to see conflict, it's a substitute for the Roman games.
  5. Does anyone at Centrelink actually read those docs? I sent a PDF of my Proof of Life, but received no acknowledgement, so how do I even know if it's been read?
  6. He is one that always surprises me, believing in god. I would have loved to see a debate between him and Christopher Hitchens. I think Hitchens would have eaten him alive.
  7. Had a girlfriend whose undisciplined 15 year old daughter liked to eat in her room, the mother found all the stinking dirty dishes hidden in cupboards because she was too lazy to take them to the kitchen. Same daughter was arrested a few years later as a drug mule.
  8. He's a shihtzu cross. No barium test done, but vets have Xrayed his stomach and tested his poop and say it's a stomach infection. He does like to lick where other dogs have peed, not uncommon, but may have picked up something that way. They have him on an antibiotic drip at the moment. He has lost about 1/2 kilo.
  9. Too much dialogue between Tim and his real life daughter. Like he wants to showcase her, so it started to get boring for me.
  10. Start your own topic.
  11. The vet has him on a antibiotic drip at the moment, seems he has some kind of stomach infection. Xrays show no obstruction in stomach, so that's good news.
  12. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The phrase "No good deed goes unpunished" is a sardonic commentary on the frequency with which acts of kindness backfire on those who offer them. In other words, those who help others are doomed to suffer as a result of their helpfulness
  13. "No good deed goes unpunished" is the correct quote.
  14. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
  15. Or cutting and removing 1000 ton stone blocks at Baalbek, but archaelologists would have us believe this was done with manpower and primitive tools. Or the Inca stonework. That kind of workmanship wouldn't be achievable today with our technology.
  16. There must have been some kind of advanced technology in the past. There is no way the Egyptians created some of their masterpieces like the 100 ton granite stone boxes at the Serapeum using copper chisels and pounding stones. The accuracy is within thousandths of an inch.
  17. I do have mygov.au installed, so not sure why I was not notified by email. I did send them the completed POL form in PDF format using that app. today.
  18. Neutered 2 weeks ago, but just been to vet and it appears that he has some kind of stomach infection, so they have him on a drip at the moment.
  19. Centrelink don't send emails, at least that's what they told me. I had to ring and get an extension otherwise they would have cut me off.
  20. By mail, which took 7 weeks to get here. In fact the form was supposed to be returned to C'link by the day it arrived here, that's how efficient they are. It was also posted from Australia nearly a month after the letter was actually written!
  21. This is not a sudden thing, started well over a month ago, and he doesn't eat grass, I'm no expert but I think it might be some kind of gastritis.
  22. Tried that, doesn't seem to make any difference. All his blood tests are normal, as are bowel movements etc, so it's a bit of a mystery.
  23. Our 8 year old male dog started vomiting his food, pretty much every day, so took him to our regular vet who said his prostate was enlarged putting pressure on his stomach, so he needed to be desexed. Went ahead as advised and had him neutered but the vomiting continued, so now he's getting an ultrasound to check his stomach. Funny thing is, other than the vomiting he seems perfectly healthy, he has a good appetite, is alert and doesn't appear to be in any pain. We've tried changing his diet but nothing seems to work. I'm hoping that the vet knows what they are doing, but it's a worrying time.
  24. Have just completed my Proof of Life form and had it witnessed by a lawyer, and I want to be sure that it gets back to Centrelink so my pension isn't stopped. I guess best way is to send by some form of registered post?
