I did my Irish passport on line yesterday it took all of 30 minutes total cost including 5 year European ID card and postage to Thailand was £96 why does the UK make it so difficult

The country knows it was a total stitch up otherwise he would never ever have returned to Thailand like his sister he would of remained living abroad

At 78 I wouldn’t bother as you said you could croak it tomorrow I had all my teeth out then Covid arrived so I lived with no teeth for two years the plan was to have implants in the end I had the same thought as you as I’m in my 70s instead I had dentures cost me 20,000 baht if im honest I don’t wear that much even when I go out it’s what you feel comfortable with implants are not cheap in Thailand ! The dentures I had made do not have an upper pallet as I have a gag issue or did have but had a course of acupuncture and no more gagging so my upper denture is the same as the lower I use a denture glue/ sealer and they stay in for a good 12 hours my dentist suggested it on the provision if I couldn’t keep the top in I could have four upper rods that would keep them in I think the cost quoted just for the uppers was around 140,000 baht

It amazes me how all these police officers both serving and retired who are not well paid have very expensive cars and nice properties I suppose that’s why the adverts state “ Amazing Thailand “

If he was riding a scooter/ motorcycle bike and had no license his insurance would of declined his claim regardless even if it had been valid if someone hit him then they would be liable for his treatment the article is very sketchy I was hit by young Thai rider 13 years old to young to ride a scooter as the age is 15 or 16 plus she was to young to hold a license the family paid for all my repairs thankfully I didn’t need hospital treatment when it happened I immediately called the police no one could deny anything as the accident was recorded by my installed camera

If you are stupid enough to carry around 700$ then I have zero sympathy I’m lucky if I carry 1,000 baht I use my mobile banking for all transactions

I’ve been there worn the T shirt even with a will staying your the beneficery the banks won’t release any money they will only release it on a court order confirming the details in the will so you need a solicitor to act on your behalf the best way is to have the person you wish to benefit from your money is by having them as a joint account holder either that or you give them your bank card atm number and they can withdraw the money however if they were found out that could be classed as theft of a deceased persons bank account the simplest way is to have a joint account so you can both withdraw the monies in the account

Absolute nightmare only way around is to make your friend a joint account holder I’m speaking from experience !

I remember once at the Samui transport office when I was renewing my car licence doing the tragic light sequence I said amber twice in the test they told me I had failed when I asked why the guy said you not say yellow so you fail I explained that in Europe we say amber not yellow so he let me have a second chance this time I said yellow and he gave me a pass

I just use the pink ID card I was given when I was given my yellow house book having said that I always have my passport just in case but they’ve always been happy with my ID card

I’m on my 4 Thai drivers licence 74 years young with zero known illnesses it will be interesting to see what age limit they say that you have to go and get a health and eye test I’m expecting that I will be one of them !
