Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Why would you want to wish good luck to a common thief and fraudster.

There is no badge of honour in screwing credit card companies for a debt that the rest of us honest citizens finish up paying for.

People like this are irresponsible and the dregs of society.

He must be very proud that after 63 years of his life he cannot afford a pot to p!ss in.

He screwed up, of that, there is no doubt, but that's life.

Do you know if there is a facility at Heathrow to help the people who return with nothing ?

  2. By reading your OP.....and your many previous 1's.......inconsiderate people are only willing help inconsiderate people, springs to mind.......

Better you try to help ....with your friends....Tia Pugh....or other young children in need in Thailand

    Not very helpful post.

    Thanks anyway.

  3. I know a guy from the UK, , he has nothing back in the U.K., after some disastrous relationships a failed Bar business and a severe alcohol problem, he has nothing here either.

He would be better off in the UK for sure but he is scared to go back as he has nothing or nobody back there, plus he took out unsecured bank loans maxed out his credit cards etc before he left UK, he has been in Thailand for 15 years and is 63 years old.

A few friends and I are willing to buy his ticket back to UK and give the 20,000 Baht for his overstay.

He's worried about what he will do when he gets to Heathrow, does anybody have knowledge of a scenario such as this ?

I've suggested he do a spot of Air Rage and get arrested at the airport on Arrival, he's a nasty drunk so should be easy, he'll get arrested straight off the plane, go to court and get prison time, but, he'll be straight back in the system and be able to get help immediately, get sorted out, medical check, get on benefits etc whilst in Prison.

He won't get arrested for Credit Card fraud and as its been too long, he got just about every Credit Card Possible and took cash advances just before leaving, so it was Fraudulent, but after a period of time, it's off the books.

It's probably not the best idea, but I don't know other alternatives, he's gonna arrive with some pocket money, about 50 Pounds, that's all, and he has no idea where to go or what to do, he has no Family to help him, and nobody else.

There must have been many guys going back to the UK with nothing over the years, is there help available at Heathrow airport ?

  4. I am 54.

    thats 38 years driving

been riding a motorcycle since 17, had two crashes, both my fault, one time I hit a turning car as I was passing, the other time lost control doing a burnout

I also drove trucks, taxi's and cars across the country,

the last accident I was in, I plowed into a van because I wasnt paying attention, each time my fault,

in all my years of driving, I have never seen anything as unsafe as omne day in Bangkok, where just crossing a small street is life risking

on top of that, you will bleed to death waiting for an ambulance, whereas in florida, it will be there in less than 5 min, day or night

    Thailand driving?

    no thanks

Wow sounds like you're a real shit driver/rider, anyway, you choose to live in Florida, with your driving skills, I don't blame you, please stay away from Thailand. You're an obvious danger to the general population and you should never be in control of a motorized vehicle.

  7. .

119 deaths in Thailand per 100,000 vehicles per Wikipedia.

5 deaths in the UK per 100,000 vehicles per Wikipedia.

    Enough said.

These figures mean nothing if you don't consider the type of vehicle.

100,000 vehicles in UK less than 2% motorbikes

100,000 vehicles in Thailand over 60% motorbikes

Of course people on motorbikes are more likely to be injured, even in relatively minor incidents, than with other types of transport.

It would be better to compare Thailand to Vietnam or Malaysia or Philippines but nobody ever does cuz they just want to Thai bash.

    "the real"

    'nuff said

Well done , Enough Said .

Although you have stopped the Thai bashing in it's tracks with simple statistics, the old men will always think they know best, Thai bad, Farang good.

    It's pathetic !

I have spent 14 years on the road in Thailand on a motorcycle. Have seen countless accidents, and avoided a few myself with heads up riding. Most of the motorcycle accidents I have seen involved a car , hard to say who was at fault, since all you see is a stopped car partly dented, and a smashed rider laying on the pavement... How does that fit in with your statistics ??

My 23 years in car and on motorcycle, how does that fit with you ?

  8. And the 1.4 Million DUI arrests in USA, is that intelligence, or stupidity, or just a bad luck percentage that are caught, you guys should really research more, the West is bad!!!!!

That's 'cause they actually arrest them in the USA, and a few hundred baht (or the USD equivalent), or driving a nice Mercedes doesn't get them back behind the wheel on the spot.

Ummmm, you sure about that ?

I know a guy that paid a bunch of cash in LA.

  10. What an inane OP. No one is suggesting all traffic fatalities in Thailand are as you describe or that fatalities don't happen in other countries but the statistics speak for themselves. Thailand has one of the worst records in the world for traffic fatalities and it makes sense to be aware of this if you don't want to be added to those statistics.

    Inane ?

I have been living and driving here for over 23 years, and have driven and Biked hundreds of thousands of Kms, how about you ?

What I wanna know is this, why are the deaths in Thailand down to being stupid, and the over 1.2 Million deaths elsewhere down to accidents ?

Just remember, old men are <deleted> drivers anywhere in the world, that especially includes old Farangs who are too old to adapt to a different system in Thailand, they are a menace to society and should never get behind the wheel or sit astride a Bike again.

    to answer your question OP,

how many buses drive of hillsides in the USA, due to the insanity of a bus driver attemping to pass on a winding road?

    http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/2011-06-22-bus-crash-fatal_n.htm

    Oh Dear they're not Thai.....

  11. And the 1.4 Million DUI arrests in USA, is that intelligence, or stupidity, or just a bad luck percentage that are caught, you guys should really research more, the West is bad!!!!!

So why do they keep breaking the law !!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. If boat operators story is true, as sad as it sounds but the crying wolf story does become a reality

Sorry this is ThaiVisa, the Thais are wrong and you know it you apologist <deleted> !!!

May be you can explain it, i am little slow

    Obviously you are................

Let me put it simply, here on Thai Visa Thais are always wrong, Farangs are always right, accidents that happen in western countries are, well, accidents,.

But, when they happen in Thailand they are a slant on the whole population, if a Thai guy has an accident in Koh Samui, my wife is according to ThaiVisa, stupid 1000 Kms away, simply because she is Thai.

Of course, the same people that write such drivel would never dare come out in real life, makes them worse in my books !

  13. I think it's wonderful for people who have the choice to choose, 99% of Thai people have no choice.

A number of higher education institutes have recently increased opportunity for various types of students to study at the higher level. In 2007, the Education Council estimated that the number of new students enrolled in bachelors programs between 2007 and 2016 will be approximately 500,000 each year, resulting in between 300,000 to 400,000 new graduates per annum.wai2.gif

Sorry Pal, I'm not an English teacher.
