  1. The endless whinging and whining, the constant Thai bashing, yet you still stay here, so It can't be that bad can it ?

Yet it seems that many ThaiVisa Farangs really dislike Thailand, a country they are free to leave at any time, but they don't, they stay, and complain.

Or they continue to come here on their annual holidays, ( I think most TV members fall into this catagory ), why would they come to a country they have such contempt for , let alone live here ?

It's really strange, to the people who never stop whining, why do you stay ?

To the whiners who are tourists, why do you keep coming back ?

  2. keep saying it, people just dont care or know better, Waiting for my wife to finish work at the port and was watching the locals fish, a husband and wife pulled up on their bike, got off with the fishing rods and a big bag of rubbish, threw the rubbish on one side of the pier then started fishing on the other side. No one gives a damn, just watch drivers/riders toss their empty cartons/bags from their cars/bikes when they finish. The people simply are too lazy to bin it and do not have any respect for their own country, they really need to learn about rubbish and the diseases etc that are caused by it in school. When you go out walking of a night you can see piles of rubbish moving from all the rats inside it, no one cares.

I'm sure ThaiVisa WAGS are the exception.

  3. Typical, if it had been a Nigerian man, I wonder what the reaction would have been on TV.

    Burn him at the stake.

Is that what you wanted to read?

It is what I would have read.

Well you hadn't read it until I wrote it in reaction to your condemnation of the TV community before anything even happened.

You stoked it.... If you don't like the forum and what the members 'may' come out with, I suggest you try fluffypuppydogforum.com

    You've lost me.

  4. I don't see many people who live in Wong Amat rushing off to Bangkok for the weekend, on the other hand, there's an awful lot of Bangkokians make the opposite trip.

Granted there not many Farangs with weekend Condos in Wong Amat, the average English teacher couldn't afford it, but many Wealthier Thais can and do.

  5. that's their problem isn't it? it's their country, if enough of them want to change it then it will change, if not, then it won't...

but I fail to see how you plan on affecting the situation by posting on this forum...I fail to see the impact of hundreds of people who can't even vote, own property, conduct business or achieve permanent residency here denigrating their hosts day in and day out...

I mean how's that working for ya?

  6. 3,500 People die everyday on the worlds roads and 50 Million people are injured every year.

To hear ThaiVisa members , one would think accidents only happen in Thailand, more die in USA than Thailand.

USA, with all the brilliant drivers, harsh policing, great roads, hard driving tests, stiff penalties for drink driving, speeding etc, still they rack up horrendous figures, mostly caused by Alcohol and speeding.

    Just a reality check lads.

Why do the Thai apologists try to defend all the road accidents / deaths, when even the Thais dont want to apologise for stupid driving ?

    Welcome to a developing nation.

That is not a answer to the question. So I will ask again, "why do the Thai apologists try to defend all the road accidents / deaths, when even the Thais dont want to apologise for stupid driving "?

What was the question again ?

  8. I would do it, Karma will pay you back big time.

There is too much selfishness in this world as it is, I think we all in Thailand own something back as what a great place to live and enjoy and we are getting it for 20% the cost of our own country.

You can't be saying things like that on ThaiVisa, you'll have the perpetual moaners up in arms !

Sorry Banzai. You really have noidea what you are talking about.

No, I have no idea, you're right. smile.png

BTW, if you live in Thailand, learn to adapt it's easier on your blood pressure.

A reality check. Have you lived here long?

Do you drive here, or even look out of a taxi?

Been living here and driving here since 1990.

The stats are somewhat skewed by the sheer number of motorcycles on the roads in Thailand and something like 70% of the road deaths are motorcycle related.

I agree it could be better, but it is what it is, you have to adapt to your environment, don't do much good whining on an anonymous forum does it ?

Be careful out there, especially if you can't adapt to the Thai way, I think I have and don't mind driving here now.
